For me, it's never a question of feeling or faith. For all we know, it
could be a mix of both and neither. Or none of them. Etc.
It's never wrong to be unsatisfied by the current research.

I can say, based on the evidence available, that DNB only improves
on'es speed in solving matrix-style Gf-slanted problems and _not_
one's ability to solve problems that one had initially found more
difficult because one couldn't actually *figure out* the pattern.

FSA COUNTY COMMITTEE NOMINATIONS START JUNE 15
06/01/2011 03:34 PM EDT

FSA COUNTY COMMITTEE NOMINATIONS START JUNE 15
HURON, SD, June 1, 2011 - Craig Schaunaman, State Executive Director of USDA's Farm Service Agency (FSA) in South Dakota announced that county committee election nominations begin June 15, 2011. Farmers, ranchers and landowners are encouraged to nominate candidates to serve on their local FSA county committee by the August 1, 2011 deadline.
Elected county committee members serve a three-year term and are responsible for making decisions on FSA disaster, conservation, commodity, and price support programs, as well as other important federal farm program issues.
"County committee members are a valuable asset because they are local producers who participate in FSA programs themselves and have a direct connection to farmers and ranchers in the local area,” said Schaunaman.
Producers may nominate themselves or others as candidates. Organizations that represent minority and women farmers and ranchers may also nominate candidates. Nominees must participate in a program administered by FSA, be eligible to vote in a county committee election, and reside in the local administrative area (LAA) in which the person is a candidate. To become a nominee, eligible individuals must sign form FSA-669A. The form and more information about county committee elections are available online at: www.fsa.usda.gov/elections.
“It is important that the county committee reflects the demographics and agricultural interests of the area these individuals represent,” Schaunaman said. “I strongly encourage all producers, including women, minority and beginning farmers and ranchers to participate in the nomination and election process,” he said.
County committees are comprised of three to five members elected by local producers. All newly elected county committee members and alternates will take office January 2, 2012.
Nomination forms must be postmarked or received in the local USDA Service Center by close of business on August 1, 2011.
For more information about county committees, please contact your local FSA office or go online at www.fsa.usda.gov.
Additional information about the acreage reporting process or programs administered by FSA may be obtained by contacting your local FSA office or on the web at www.fsa.usda.gov.

attention to you. (There's a lot of worthless discussion on this ML,

Yes, you've posted a bunch of research of questionable relevance, all
of which that I bothered to read was about correlations - correlations
existing *before* any intervention like dual n-back. Which is exactly
what I've never contested, and adds nothing to the question of whether
dual n-back increases IQ or just speed on BOMAT/RAPM, and your belief
that they prove it is sheer question-begging. I have said all this
before.

USDA Reminds Producers to File Adjusted Gross Income Consent Forms with the IRS

USDA Reminds Producers to File Adjusted Gross Income Consent Forms with the IRS
(COLLEGE STATION, TX) – June 1, 2011 - USDA Texas Farm Service Agency (FSA) Executive Director Juan M. Garcia reminds producers that, in order to receive USDA program payments, each payment recipient must have an Adjusted Gross Income (AGI) verification consent form on file with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS).
The consent form authorizes IRS to verify for FSA whether a payment recipient’s AGI meets the eligibility requirements for FSA programs. The form became a requirement for payment eligibility beginning with the 2009 crop year, however many program participants have not complied with this requirement.
"IRS and USDA reports show that, nationwide, FSA is still missing the required consent forms from many producers for 2009 and 2010," said Garcia. "In order to avoid an interruption of program payments, producers need to check their business records and turn these forms in to the IRS immediately if they have not done so already," he said.
IRS requires written consent from all individuals or legal entities before verification of the average AGI can be provided to USDA. Individuals must submit form CCC-927and legal entities must submit form CCC-928. Without these forms on file, producers will not receive USDA program payments.
Garcia further clarifies that these consent forms are required for payments received from the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) as well as those received through FSA. Completed forms must be returned to the IRS.
For more information on AGI eligibility requirements or the AGI verification process, contact your local FSA office.

No, but science proper doesn't deal with "causation". In fact, there
is no such thing as causation strictly speaking (if anyone wants to
argue this, let me take them to a pub and play billiards) - just
reliable correlations given a set equivalent initial conditions and
parameters. Less reliable correlations hint at a plurality of
influential factors.
As for conscientiousness, yes, that _certainly_ positively correlates
with continued involvement with a task. Lazy bums or underachievers
are a prime example of who don't possess conscientiousness and don't
engage in tasks that they may or may not be able to fulfill or
repeatedly engage in over extended periods of time. Furthermore,
conscientiousness positively correlates (significantly) with academic
performance - music training wouldn't be a far leap from this.
