This year, I have to do a project on Charles Darwin and whether or not the theory of evolution is compatible with Christian beliefs in God. The project will also focus on the reaction of different Christian churches (e.g. Catholic, Anglican, Presbyterian) to Darwin's work. So my question is this... Can anyone recommend any good books that I could use as resources? And are there any books out there that deal specificially with Darwin and Christianity? Thanks for any answers in advance!

Me and my girlfriend broke up almost 4 months again - it was mutual as we only knew eachother two weeks before we got together (which I understand is way to quick) we were together 3 months, she said she didn't know me well enough to date me. ever since then we have bin in contact, a few arguements but I tried to move on with my life as you do. but everytime I try and walk away she stops me, she says she really wants me around to talk to etc. I don't understand what she wants, if I try and confront her she avoids my questions and I say 'what do you want? do you want to ever get back together or for me to move on?' she always answers with 'I dunno, I don't know what's gonna happen in teh future'. so why does she insist I stay in contact? we weren't friends before our relationship... of course I stil like her but im not holding my breath out I just wanna know or advice on what she wants or what she wants out of it all. thanks :)

I play a lot of soccer. I had two practices a day four days a week for two weeks straight and two days a go i knew my quads were really ired but i still practiced and they didnt seem that bad, but i woke up in the middle of the night because i had a really bad pain in my quad idk what is is, is it a pulled muscle or a tear. its been hurting since and i cant sleep cuz everytime i bend my leg the pain wakes me up

i am 11weeks pregnant i have gone threw 3 miscarriages while trying for my 2nd child. Me and my husband have suffered and we miss our 4 lost children but it has shown us how to be thankful for our new baby in my belly and how to really thank god for our first My husband has a really good job and when i get closer to term i will be quitting mine but we will still be able to handle our bills we are fairly young mid 20s for both of us but we own our cars and home....Now knowing some of my story let me tell you what makes me mad My sister and her boyfriend lives with my mother my sister was married to a man but she left him to be with her boyfriend she has 2 kids by her husband and 1 by her boyfriend....and SHES PREGNANT AGAIN. and i always feel the need to make sure her kids are in clothes and have the things they need for school and what not,My sister is in her late 20s and her boyfriend is 19 he mows lawns for a living and my sister does not work i am so mad that she is having another baby because they cannot take care of one and i feel like its going to take away from my kids because i will be taking care of hers so my parents doesn't have to....i know it makes me sound really mean but i don't know why she doesn't use protection she threw a fit when she found out she was pregnant..and im mad because i think she is very stupid ...What would you do in this situation? i don't want to be the bad guy but i am only thinking about the kids and how they will suffer further

I really need help or at least some insight with what exactly is going on. So I must explain... My ex and I broke up a few months ago and when we were going out I made tons of new friends with people he knew... more specifically I became very close friends with his best mate. We have a ton in common and talk almost "24/7" via constant facebook messaging and a phone call at least every night for 2 hours minimum ... we practically just clicked when we met but just as friends. *note - this guy has a girlfriend who he started dating around the same time as me and my ex. When me and my boyfriend broke up (things got extremely complicated and trust got questioned and we found ourselves turning into people we didn't wanna be... we're good friends again now almost as if nothing happened - not a bad thing) and when we did break up his friend was there for me the whole way... a few weeks down the track I find myself realise in what way I actually like this guy. I had felt a hint of liking him in this way when I wasn't single but thought nothing of it and hid the feeling. We have a very open relationship as friends and tell each other literally everything. So it got to the point where I confessed how I felt. He was shocked that I could like "someone like him" (he doesn't think much of him self and constantly considers me a higher ranking in society compared to himself). He however confessed that he had feelings for me too... complication - his best mate was crushed when our relationship ended and he still had his girlfriend. We openly talked about this sometimes ... but nothing became of it ... we decided it'd be best for everyone if we just tried to get over it. It's been two months and neither of us have gotten any process with this - I'm pretty sure we actually like each other more. Things that confuse me is that although he has his girlfriend - he likes me and he questions who he likes more. Him and his girlfriend's relationship completely confuses me. They are practically friends with a label. She is such a b**ch to him and they've never even kissed on the lips and don't talk much as well as no romantic side to anything either. I kind of really feel like "the other girl" in this situation. I really like this guy. I've never felt this comfortable with anyone. I don't know what to do though. Sitting back and watching has ruined my life's patience and I just feel like staying like this isn't right. I've tried so many times and so many ways not to like him (including ignoring him and picturing him as a "bad" person) but it doesn't work. Since I've known him I've been happier then I have been in a long time, so I refuse to entirely delete him of my life. What can I do? I was in Pittsburgh a few weeks ago and i had a REALLY bad sore throat. I was volunteering in a hospital and I had all the signs of strep (headache.. no cough.. hurt to swallow) but they told me it was too early to tell. they put me on antibiotics because they thought i had strep and because of the hospital setting they didn't want to take a chance. i finished all of the antibiotics and felt so much better after a day of taking them! but now 3 days after i stopped taking the antibiotics, i have the terrible pain in my throat again. what could it be?!

I mean there are 100s of inventions that they did earlier, and after 1000s of years, doing the same, others claim they invented it. They knew astronomy, about universe and everything when Americans and others lived in caves like nomads. Why people consider Mesopotamian as the oldest civilization while it is just some 3200 BC, while India have scientific evidence of a civilization more than some 6500 BC old, and that too much sophisticated and scientific. They also made aeroplanes, that can even go in space , and predicted that modern aircraft will be slower, noisier and won't be able to go in space. In the first atomic blast test, when the head scientist was asked if it was the first atomic blast in history - he said "yes, but of modern world, ancient India in times of Mahabharata, it was very common in wars" but the civilization cam emuch down after the great war of mahabharata, and the tech whent back fully!! what do you think please??

For over a month, this guy would ask me to meet up most weekends, he took me to his house and I met his family, all his friends were teasing us and for lots of reasons it seemed so obvious that he liked me. He said he wanted to take me to a viewpoint he found.. For the past fortnight he hasn't been as talkative, he cancelled taking me to the viewpoint the day before because, he said, his friend reminded him they had plans that day. He didn't seem bothered about me at all and we didn't speak much. Then recently I asked him if he wasnt busy could we go to the viewpoint and he was completely fine and putting x's on the end of every text (which he rarely does) and he sounded happy. We met up and he was happy and he mentioned meeting up again but while we were there he invited his friend who lives nearby and they were talking about their other friends who i dont know and i couldn't really say much in the conversation. a while ago my ipod said can not be sync error blah blah blah...so i started buying music from itunes instead of using cd's and all and the other day i woke up and it wasn't turning on so i plugged it into the computer and it said it needed to be restored so i hit update and restore and it started working...left the house...came home and looked at it and itunes told me that it couldn't be restored and updated because it had error number blah blah blah blah (a different 1 from when i tried syncing it) so i think it has a virus or a few or something and i don't know what to do...how much would apple charge me to fix it?

I feel like I can't even talk to her any more without her getting annoyed at me. I have to be really careful about what I say or she completely flips and gets all stressy. She's normally really moody anyway, everyone says she is. Like I sign into msn and see her online and say 'HEEEEY:)' and she'll be like 'hi.' back to me. This boy asked her out the other day and for some reason she got so annoyed with him and started swearing and stuff. Just then we were playing on habbo and I was lagging and this is the convo we had on msn... Me - Lagggg Her - Im aware.. Me - You lagging? Her - Im aware. Me - It was just a question. Her - I answered the question. Me - Kind of... Her - omfg Me - It doesn't matter though. Her - I already knew I was lagging I didn't need to be reminded Me - Ok I was just wondering if it was just me And now she's not talking to me. If I ask her like how she is then she goes stroppy at me for thinking something's wrong when all I meant it as was general conversation & If I tell her then she just replys like 'k' or something equally as uninteresting. When she hears about people calling her moody she's like 'I'm not moody am I :/' but I can't say she is or she'll literally never talk to me again. I always feel like our friendship's on edge and I honestly try my hardest not to say things to upset her and to make our friendship strong again but she just doesn't seem like she wants to be friends any more. I don't know what to say to her but I'm getting really fed up of her blunt one word answers and constant moods blaming it on being tired. Like little things that wouldn't effect anyone else make her stroppy & she takes everything the wrong way. If I say something she'll think I'm saying that I don't like her any more and turn it against me & make me feel bad. I don't want to lose her as a friend because on the rare occasion that she is happy we do have some good times. I know our friendship shouldn't be like this and I shouldn't feel this way but it really does hurt my feelings when I'm trying my hardest and she sounds like she couldn't care in the slightest. I'm losing my patience with her. Normally I just keep it in because if she knows im upset then she'll get moody at me for over reacting. Like some things she says to me; I know that if I said them to her she would go absalutly mental. I don't know what to do:/

It's 3 a bedroom and it's good for children. I have a job and car and house, while my ex girlfriend has no job, permanent house or transportation. I have depression and anxiety. Which I am going to a counselor for. BUt lately since I have been getting more on my plate from getting oder I have been getting stressed alot and it makes my anxiety and depression worse.. I would like to manage it and also work with someone to make a workout plan that I can do, b/c I was thinkin about doing the air force. I want to be in shape when I go to basics.. I am skinny, but not healthy I tried to researched about herbs that I could take that would help me,but I didn't get much info.. I was wondering if someone can please explain to me a real life example of such an angle If cos(x) =2 then x = pi - i ln(2-sqrt(3)) + 2*pi*n or x = pi - i ln(2+sqrt(3)) + 2*pi*n were n is the set of integers if not than what's the point in being able to define such an angle, I assume there had to have been some kind of reason to come up with a way of defining it???

Ok so I've been taking the pill (cilest) for now 3 months. About exactly a month ago I had sex for the first time with a random guy I met. (No regrets at all). We were both really drunk and I said he needed to put on a condom. I saw him put it on. But being a paranoid person I'm thinking "what if he secretly took it off?" (he's Italian and they are well known apparently for not liking to wear condoms). I never said to him I was a virgin so it was pretty rough sex. I had just taken my last pill of the 21 days that night at 7pm and I had sex at probably 3:30am. I had a little bit of bleeding. Then I had my period 2 days later. Now it's a month on and I finished my last active pill on Wednesday and it's now Friday. My boobs have gotten quite big since i've had sex. I've had no morning sickness or that. I just feel sick when I think about if I might be pregnant. So yeah I'm hoping my period will come tomorrow. Although i'm not sure if I have stressed myself for not having a period this month.. 2 months ago I moved to Italy and due to my new job and new environment I missed a period. So yeah basically I want to know, What are the chances of me being pregnant???

For the purpose of the use of roleplayer, I am talking about 3rd/4th line players that do not make large sums of money (lets say no more than league average), so while Chris Drury and Shawn Horcoff may have fit the bill, they definitely were not paid in the same regards. Also, I am talking about players that are career roleplayers, so that while Adam Foote may have been a roleplayer as captain as the Avalanche, that role was only during his final years as a player, he used to be a star player. I mean the Bush tax cuts for the rich have been in place for 9 years and yet the unemployment rate is still way high. Could it be that the rich are just keeping the money and not hiring much? Is the republican talking point about tax cuts a bunch of BS?
