[ United Kingdom ] Open Question : Is there a way of calculating the Tax + NI deductions on: 1) a net wage figure and 2) a gross wage figure?

Posted: 26 May 2011 07:04 PM PDT

For example, 1) Say I had a weeks take home pay of £269.82 and i wanted to know if i had been paid correctly. But I'd not received a payslip so needed to work out the deductions (tax + NI) that I needed to add back on to my take home amount to make the total gross figure. Is there a sum i can do to approximately or accurately work this out? I just need the total deduction, it's not important if it's impossible to work out the tax + NI as two separate deduction amounts, if it is possible i would like to know also. thanx AND 2) Say I was due to start a new job and i knew my hourly rate was going to be £7.75 basic and i was told i would be working a minimum of 20 hours a week. Making my gross pay as £155.00. For my new housekeeping budget I would want to approximately or if possible accurately work out what my take home pay would be. Is there a sum to work this out? Again I just need the total deduction, it's not important if it's impossible to work out the tax + NI as two separate deductions, if it is possible though i would like to know also. thanx I hope this makes sense!! ;-) I thank you in advance for your help!! Lou

[ Video & Online Games ] Open Question : Can I get pricing assistance for DC Universe Online?

I'm considering buying DC Universe Online for the PS3, but am concerned about pricing. I understand that the game comes with a free 30 day trial, and then it's $15 a month after that. But do I have to pay by credit card? Or can I buy a subscription card from, say, GameStop? Remember, this is on PS3, not PC.

[ Music & Music Players ] Open Question : Is there a website (Other than apple app store or Open app mkt) to get apps ?

Posted: 26 May 2011 07:03 PM PDT

Alright , so , let me tell you people whats going on . So , I'm looking for a website that enables me to get free apps , other than app store (From apple). I thought that this thing called "Open app market" would help me achieve this VERY unnecessarily hard goal , but , after I got like 50 "Apps" I find out that there really just bookmarks to sites where you play the games , thus , I'd need to have internet EVERYwhere I go , which I don't (I use an ad-hoc connection) have. This made me sooo God-damned mad I swear I wanted to shoot myself . So , Bottom line , I need a site thats not Apple app store or open app market to get apps for my Ipod touch.

[ Singles & Dating ] Open Question : Long distance relationship issue? What should I do?

Posted: 26 May 2011 07:03 PM PDT

I'm sorta having a long distance relationship with this guy, but we're not really together. Anyway, about 7 months ago we stopped texting eachother, and since then, my feelings have changed towards him. I don't have any feelings towards him what-so-ever. By January he said he was sorry, and missed me/ loved me. I forgave him, though. As our relationship progresses, he's changing. He's smoking weed, he's stopped texting me, or sometimes he won't text me at all unless I do it first. It's like he doesn't even know I exsist, and when i try to give him advice, he just ignores me. What do you think I should do? I want to break connection from him, because I have no feelings towards him, and I don't like the way he's acting.

[ Singles & Dating ] Open Question : I don't mean to freak out but I really need help about HIM!!!!!?

Posted: 26 May 2011 07:03 PM PDT

I have a friend name Kim who is friends with a guy name Matt on facebook. Matt & Kim never met in person but they live 15mins away from each other. Matt wanted to take Kim out for ice cream but she set him up. Matt stoped calling him two weeks ago but on Monday he called and asked to meet up again and Kim said No. He hasn't called her since. Kim can't stand Matt but this is the problem, I like him. I told him how I like him and shes okay with that. But Matt has no idea who I am. I was wondering should I send Matt a facebook message saying "Hey are you by any chance related to Kim Dicccoss?" I am making up that name but I was thinking just for us to start a convo. Or would it look obvious that I know kim? (P.s. Me and Kim are not facebook friends and plus I have all my facebook friends hidden.)

[ Diet & Fitness ] Open Question : Help I've gained 13 pounds in 2 months?

Ok so I'm 5'8 or 5'9 and I used to weigh 140, then I worked really hard and watched what I ate and dropped to 110 pounds and I really liked the way I looked and even wanted to lose a little more, but then my eating went out of control and I've been eating at least 2000 calories every day which is WAY more than I'm used to. I'm a 15 year old girl and I do dance, track, softball, and volleyball so I do burn a lot of calories. But now I stepped on the scale and I'm 123 pounds and I'm seriously freaking out I'm really afraid people are noticing that I've gained weight and I just really want to lose weight again but I can't seem to stop stuffing my face! What can I do??

[ Skin Conditions ] Open Question : I was bitten by a tick and affected area is painful. What should I do?

Posted: 26 May 2011 07:03 PM PDT

This anecdote is rather odd: There was an Adult Dogwood Female Tick in my scalp for 5-7 days. I did feel a lump on my head about maybe 2 days later, but I thought nothing of it, I thought I might have bumped my head and didn't really ruminate over it too long I visited the school nurse since the lump grew and she removed it painlessly and I'm assuming the correct way. The tick was enveloped and was taken over to the mosquito/tick control center in my state . They said it was unlikely that the tick transmitted any diseases and didn't feel it was necessary to perform any chemical tests on it. About 3 days after, there is another lump growing under where the tick bit me and it is painful to move my neck in that direction. I have had no flu-like symptoms. Is this from the tick bite itself or something it transmitted? Thanks you in advance.
