She's 16 and I honestly can't help how she dresses. She chooses to buy all these slutty little outfits, corset tops, short-shorts, mini-skirts, revealing dresses, etc. I told her these clothes are overly sexy, but she doesn't listen. She's a gorgeous girl and has a nice little body, she says since she's got it its her right to flaunt it. She likes to copy my beautiful young Fiancee who moved in with the two of us last year, even borrows clothes from her...I'm wondering does it look bad on me as a father when I take my daughter out (just her and I as we do often) and she's dressed provocatively? What about when I go out with her and my fiancee?

I recently moved to the New England countryside from N.Y.C with my parents. I wasn't happy about the move anyways, but the people in the town make it even harder. 1. So, you know. I'm a city girl .. so one evening, about 8 I asked my mum if I could run up to the store (it closes at 9, ><;; so I had to hurry) .. she said okay and I walked and got some snacks and started back .. well on my way back (this is about 8:20ish) this cop stops me and asks me WHAT IM DOING .. seriously! What am I doing? What does it look like I'm doing I just came back from the store .. there's not much you CAN be doing in that town, there's only 1 conveience store and a pizza shop within walking distance of my home. They then asked if I needed a ride home ? Haha, I decline .. never know who could be impersonating. 2. Everyone seems to stare when I walk around town .. I'm mixed (asian/white) and like everyone in this town is just white, so I'm guessing maybe it's that .. but seriously, does everyone just know everyone or something? I dont know .. I'm worried about starting school too since like I heard the school is under 500 people (highschool) ... How am I going to find friends if they end up being all clicky and secuded like the other people seem to be in town? My interests mainly focus around artsy people .. but it doesnt seem there will be too many at that school. So yeah, any help and advice?

This year I wasn't awarded financial aid from my school (CSUN), so I can't get any loan/scholarships/grants from the government. Fall semester is coming up soon for me and I want to make sure I could pay for my tuition. I'm 18 years old and have never had jury duty before, so I'm unfamiliar with the process. A few weeks ago I received a summons that I would be on duty this week. I had actually been very excited about it because I was curious about the process. I registered online immediately and called in on Friday night to find out whether I was needed on Monday, and then again on Monday to find out if I was needed for today. I wasn't needed. I checked it now and it says I should report tomorrow at the Beverly Hills courthouse at 8:45. That would be fine with me, but I'm concerned I'm getting sick again. I have a weak immune system due to Hodgkin's Lymphoma 3B last year and it's caused continuous health problems this year like bronchitis, pneumonia, and most recently shingles and viral meningitis. I had been fine since July and thought I could serve. I don't know what's going on with me now but my lower lip is suddenly horribly swollen - not like just chapped lips but very badly swollen and bleeding - and I feel the same stiffness in my neck that I had during viral men. I don't know if it's just a reaction to something I ate or what, but it's sort of freaking me out. I really want to go to the courthouse tomorrow and see what happens, but I'm worried that if things worsen overnight I will be too sick to go. Plus, viral men. is highly contagious. Even when I got out of the hospital I wasn't allowed on campus the whole time I had it and was booted out of a dance competition because they couldn't risk the exposure. I had to present a letter from my doctor saying I was no longer contagious before I could go to my summer classes. So I don't want to harm anyone. It says that if I can't go I should call the emergency juror coordinator at 8AM. What will happen? If I go to my doctor and she says I'm fine can I just go in on Thursday, or are they going to reassign me totally? I move off for college in exactly one month. I really want to just get it done! I can't possibly make it to my doctor and get the blood work done and all that by 8 in the morning.

I've met someone 6 months ago through Match.com and we pretty much hit it off. We have so much things in common that I almost wanna say thank you Match.com for finding my ideal guy. But due to our busy schedule we only see each other once maybe twice a month. I have no complaints because it gives me time to miss him and there was never a dull moment when I'm with him. He's a perfect gentleman and I'm pretty sure the feeling is mutual but that's only under assumption. The truth is I have no idea where this relationship is headed. We never talk about "US". I'm really conservative and he doesn't like aggressive girls. I like to take my time getting to know the person I'm interested in and make things happen naturally and he's on the same page as I am too. My friends think we're about to fall in a friend zone. If it hasn't already. My birthday celebration is in 3 weeks and my friends and I will be celebrating it in Las Vegas. I invited him to go with us. Since he's already going to Vegas the weekend after we're there for a bachelor party, I didn't think he was going to go. Last week he told me that he bought his ticket to Vegas to celebrate my birthday w/ me and my friends. But he's only going to stay in Vegas for one night and head back home. To me, that's a big deal considering that he would fly out there for one night just to celebrate my birthday with me. My friends would tell me to make the move and do something about it. If nothing happens, move on and just leave everything behind. They would tell me that I have a lot of friends already, I don't need another one added to my circle. Now my question is, should I do something about it? Or just let it happen naturally? I don't want to expect too much nor push the issue. But if I don't do anything or say anything, I don't know how long it will take to even know if the feeling is mutual. I'm really shy when it comes to this things. What do you guys think I should do? Do guys like it when a girl's the one that makes the move? I don't want to ruin anything but I also want to know where this relationship is headed without being so agressive or too forward. I'm wondering if I have something wrong woth me...or maybe everyone goes through this. If I drink Saturday and Sunday, my stomach will be really messed up until about Thursday. It will be really bloated and gassy, which is really uncomfortable and gross. This is when I have anywhere between 12 - 20 drinks on the weekend. Any way to prevent this? I keep running into a guy friend. I run into him about once every 3 weeks. First time, I was at the store with my parents and he jumped out and said hey (my name). He then proceeded to talk to me and then my mother started asking him questions so of course it seemed to go down from there. Then I ran into him online and talked to him for hours, but for some reason this has stopped. In addition, I ran into him at registration at the college. I don't know why, but I don't know what to say. I walked away after saying hello and he followed me. He then started talkin and then well....we soon walked into another building where he started conversing with the staff and I didn't want to interrupt him so I ended up leaving. Few minutes later, he followed me and started another conversation. I am a bit more quiet so he did most of the talking. Going back to the start, I must say I have told him that I liked him, but he says he would rather be friends which I am perfectly fine with. I am really trying, but find myself tongue tied around him. It also doesn't help that I am already quiet. Last, but not least I just ran into him again. I was talking to my mother who works at the university and he jumped out saying hello and all. Sadly, my response wasn't the best, I ended up saying Wow, how do I keep running into you only? He ended up responding back by saying you may it sound like it's a bad thing. I must say I felt bad. I guess one can say I am not very good with relationships of any kind. What does one think about this? I feel it is a bit odd that I keep running into him. I have no clue why. How do I also keep myself from getting tounge tied while around him?

I have 2 kids, age 4 & 17 months. They've been saying Ma'am, Sir, Please, and Thank You since before they could walk. I taught them from an early age to respect everyone, and to have manners. I've spanked my son 3 times in his entire life, and my daughter once. By spank, I do not mean bare butt with a belt over the knee. When I spank my kids, it's more of a swift hard swat on the covered bottom. It's not about pain, it's about shocking them. I feel safe in saying that I will never have to spank them again, simply because they know what's expected of them, and all in all, they are great kids. Something I've noticed though is that more and more parents are becoming increasingly lenient with their children. I don't judge a parent for being against spanking, nor do I assume a parent who does spank is "abusive", however I do pass judgment on parents who allow their children to repeatedly disobey and disrespect them without any form of consequence whatsoever. By not disciplining your child in some way shape or form, you are doing more harm than good. By not teaching your children what is and isn't acceptable, your showing them that they can act any way they want, regardless of if it's appropriate or not. There is a time and place for everything, but if you can't instill that into your child, your very likely to have a rude and disrespectful teenage on your hands. So, for the parents who take a passive approach to discipline, such as "just ignoring it" or "not wanting to hurt their feelings", how do you plan on dealing with your child when their disrespect and bad behavior lands them in a dangerous situation, such as jail? Will you "just ignore" the fact that your child is behind bars because you didn't feel the need to teach them that some things just ARE NOT acceptable? A/N: This is in no way bashing parents who don't spank, parents who do spank, parents who rely on time outs, groundings and lectures alone, or any other sort of discipline. This is aimed directly at the parents who have a hands off approach when it comes to discipline.

So there is this girl that I really like and I can't get her out of my head. She is the quiet, athletic, and really pretty type and i am more of a quiet, not so athletic, kinda fat, socially awkward, and nerdy type ( when I say nerdy I mean like a video game and tv nerd). She plays volleyball and she is real good at it and I play tennis which I am not so good at but I still made the A-Team. Her and this other guy have been off and on for the past two years but she told my best friend (who moved to a city that is about four hours away) that she doesn't like that guy at all. He is the loud preppy baseball player type guy and I am pretty much the exact opposite of him, I don't know if that is good or not because she is sort of preppy herself and her mom is the main counselor at our school Well what I am asking is how should I approach her because back in elementary school we were friends and in sixth grade I took her to a dance but nothing more, we were still friends but the next year which was our first year in high school ( we don't have a middle school high school starts in 7th grade) we didn't talk hardly at all, the following year my 8th grade year we talked a whole lot, but the next year after my best friend moved we didn't talk once in 9th grade. But now here we are in my 10th grade year and I try to talk to her everyday at least once but all I ever can think about is to ask her about volleyball, I don't want to get repetitive but that is all I can ever think about. I don't want to ask her out until I am 16 and can drive myself around (even though i know I am nowhere near the point to asking her out) and that won't be till April of next year. So what I am asking is if Girls- would it be weird or awkward if you were on the other side of the situation I am in And how should I approach talking to her and not seem weird and creeperish

Alright, I'm considering something...so I know its not GOOD to have debt but, still. I currently owe, $60 on a credit card, just waiting for bill to come and I am paying that one off. I had a plumbing emergency (ugh) and owe $400 on a credit card. (Plan on paying about $150 this month) And, just bought furniture and owe $2,000 on that. Which I am planning on paying off because I am expecting to get most of that back from my former job. (I haven't received the bill yet) I am thinking about taking 1,000.00 personal loan out...horrible idea? Granted, its kinda for a stupid reason...to help a friend out. They need the money by the 9th of September and I've done the math he'll be able to pay me back in about 3 months. I trust him, but please, just the opinion about the credit situation.

In Islam why do women have to cover their heads and not men? Hypothetically,If the general muslim perception is that it is deemed that women are more attractive then men and that this is the reason why,then what about "ugly" women? Are they still encouraged to wear hijab even if they wern't a person that men would really have lust for in the first place? I've sometimes wondered,do unattractive muslim women feel less then or with less worth then attractive muslim women? Ive heard some pretty muslims say that their value is not based on the size of their waist etc,that their body is not to be on display etc and this all sounds right,well and good,but at the same time i still wonder about the perceived "ugly" muslims and what they feel.

You know in movies and on youtube videos they have someone standing on a mountain and then all the suddenly they're at a pool party? Or how someones getting tacos and then they're all the suddenly they're sitting at their table eating them? I was wondering how to do that with a camera. I'm 10 so of course I'm not all that great at using cameras yet, so how do you do that? I believe it's called a scene or something but not sure. I have a coolpix LI6 and a Logitech.
