I have a question in my AP Calculus book that says "Find the center, foci, vertices, asymptotes, and radius, as appropriate, of each conic section." The equation im looking at is x^2+4x+y^2=12 and its a circle. Im not sure which of these things it would have.

I am 16 almost 17 and seeing a 27 year old. I met him though my older sisters ex boyfriend they are like bestfriends and her ex is like a big brother to me. I always hangout with people who are older than me 20+ I dont really have any friends my own age. I really like him a lot and he is awesome. We have a lot in common and we always have fun when we hangout. Were both kind of the same outgoing crazy and love the outdoors. We like the same things and we get a long great. Everything seems to be going perfect right now. I have met his mom and uncle and they approve and they know the age difference. He has kids but i love kids and his kids like me so thats not really a problem to me because i would never want kids of my own but i love having them around. I am sure everyone will think he is only trying to get in my pants but that is not true. We never had sex and he told me he doesnt want to have sex yet he wants to wait and do things right with me he wants us to last and he wants a strong relationship without sex. I know hes serious about it because he will drive quite a distance just to come see me for a little wile to hangout and talk. He looks out for me and is protective if any one messes with me. He really is a great guy and really really good looking. He is a tattooist but works a job doing stucco and he can sing. He has a great voice and the best blue eyes. The only problem i have with the whole thing is he has ben married before. I guess i could look past that.. I dont want people to think oh im 16 and stupid i would go for any older guy cause im not i have had lots of older guys tell me they like me and i didnt pay no attention to it, this guy is just different. I have experience with relationships and I am very mature for my age. People always think i am older. I would just like some opinions on the whole thing.. Thanks in advance (:

I am helping to put a corrugated iron roof on a small room. The timber will rest on masonry at both extremities. The length of timber I will be using is 4metres (13'1") and will need to support corrugated metal sheets and a suspended plasterboard ceiling. The rafters will be spaced at 1 metre with additional noggins for sheet fixation. It is a simple roof, but I am not sure what size wood to use. Will 150mm x 50mm be sufficient? Thanks in advance

I have in-ear earbuds and yesterday they were working fine but today sound only came out of one end and then nothing at all. if i twist the plug in the jack sometimes i might be able to get sound to come out one ear for a short period of time. this is a problem on both my ipod and laptop. these are my only earbuds right now so i don't really wanna get another one

i had one period at the beginnning 2 middle of the month, 1st week for like 4 days, now it is the third week and i am just starting to get my period...why is this? i am sorta nervous cause i am only 14 and im going to the HS for the first time, and i only had my period for about a year! what should i do for the first day of school, i don't used tampons! and pads make me walk and be different. how long will my period last?? am i getting this cuz im nervous?

some teachers have a facebook myspace or private site, that they dedicate and utilize in every way to cater to their students, granted i have no idea whats being sent through the private messages, but if some of my teachers did this i may have actually learned something. is there anything that blocks a student from leaving a message for Mr. Adams saying he's a real Ahole for giving a poor grade, or telling Mrs. Smith she's so hot, and how they love when she leans forward? my guess is no, another double edged sword we yet again forgot to cover, student teacher relationships start both ways. but is this law diverting attention from the parentals who should be supervising whats being sent to and from the child? if it takes a village to raise a child, what village starts with, WWW.?

yesterday i got pulled over for no reason at all. the police officer asked to search me and my truck. i had just picked it up sunday and was on my way to the sectray of state to get the plates and everything switched over. and i cot a ticked for improper use of registration. i told him i just got it and he didnt care. i was going right to the state office to do it. i dont know if it has anythi.g to do with how i look but im white amd i have a long beard and my ears are gauged. can i consider this discrimanation. or how every u spell it

So, I will be attending a baptism and my parents willnbe the ones baptizing the little girl. I have a very pretty charcoal dress. It kinda has a small hint of blue, so charcoal/steel blue. I was wondering what color I should do because I'm getting a manicure. Should I do a very flashy color? Or simple? I won't be doing a French manicure because I have recently stopped bitting my nails and I wouldn't feel confident with the white tips. If it makes any difference, I have gray eyes that sometimes look blue and sometimes green. But since my dress has a hint of blue, they'll look blue/gray And I'm a brunette :) So should I do like a flashy red or something like that? Or play it cool and match everything?

What would you say is going on between me and this girl? Met a girl on a dating site a couple of months ago. We started talking and everything was fine. She said she was about to go to florida with her family for a week and a half but after that would work. My husband told me it is a proven fact that kids get sick when they get wet and play outside, and my mother in law thinks thats why my son is sick...because he played in the water outside (w/waterhose). I told them he was sick because the friend he was playing with was sick. Anyways I feel that if kids got sick from playing in the water they would never be allowed to have sprinklers, slip n slides, pools, or get in the ocean, river or lakes. Right?

A mate lent me a film in which: a woman is sent to prison for a murder she didnt commit, and her husband after months of planning breaks her out of prison, by planning where he will need to be specify minutes after the break out, he sends his kids to a party while he is breaking her out. Clouds dart the light blue sky, adding a dreamlike affect to the scene. Jenny's eyes follow a butterfly as it flies into distance, slowly and finally disappearing from sight. She lifts her pencil, and begins drawing. Her fingers dash across the paper, forming lines which form a picture. It is silent. As the sun finally sets, Jenny puts her pencil down. She sighs, crumpling the paper with her hands, and throws it into a nearby bin. Her hands clench into a fist, and she gets up from the comfort of her chair. Pulling her hair behind her ears, Jenny exits the room and steps outside into the cold breeze. A jacket is tossed gracefully onto the ground. Jenny now wears a sleek black tank top and a simple pair of bluejeans. She lays down on the jacket, staring at the clear, bright stars, and sighs. If only she could fly. ok so i will be starting my senior year of high schoool in a bit, I currently have only 2 friends that actually come over to my house. I am a 16 year old male by the way. I have quite a lot of friends in school but, since i was born i have always been a very shy person. My mom always says she wants to imrpoove my communication skills when i think they are good enough. I am a bit scared to call over friends of the opposite gender. My little cousin is only 5ft 1 and around here police have been hanging around because people have been trying to grab kids and pull them into cars etc he is 18 but still looks young because of his height, he told me today that he feels helpless at times and doesnt want to go out on his own. So, im here asking for advice on the matter, he is quite skinny built too (in his arms) but he does have some weight behind him otherwise. I told him he should join a self defence/martial art class, but im really not sure which type. I know he wants to be able to defend himself properly, even against people taller than him. My cousin isnt scared of people, he just told me sometimes he feels helpless when it comes to things like this. Any advice would be really helpful. Thanks

My sister in law is trying to get financial aid for school this year( she is 19). Her mother and her have differences and she is not giving her tax information for the FASFA. I know that there is no way to get past the parents tax information unless you want to jump through hoops to be an independent, just to get an unsubsidezed stafford loan. I am trying to see if we are able to get her mother to give us tax information if we threaten to file some kind of late tax as an independent from her. She graduated from High school may of 2010 and moved out in June which means she did not receive support from her mother for half of the year. The problem is that she did not make more than 3,500 for the year of 2010, or even have a job. She was living off of scholarship and grant money.

im going to a dance school this year for grade 9. I start dancing at 8am-10am and then after i just have normal classes. I have dance every second day and i was just wondering if any dancers know a nice bun that can go to a nice hairstyle for after dance. I know i could pt it in a messy bun but thats all i know. And i dont have very much time i have like 5 minutea to get out of my dancing stuff and into my school stuff. I just dont want to have to have my hair up every second day. So anything that will look good right after you take it out of a bun :) thanks
