[ Singles & Dating ] Open Question : I want a boyfriend, but I always imagine horrible things happening to him. Many which include horrific death?

I am a 17-year old girl. I have not had a real boyfriend as of yet. But then again, I don't 'go' for the boys that 'normal' people go for - I am into nerds (the actual, proper kind.) However, as much as I want to date one and how much I love and respect them; I begin to feel sad and upset whenever I see one, or if one associates with me. I imagine horrific things happening to him, such as him drowning (pretty sure it was a troll question...but some guy posted why all nerds didn't know how to swim..now that scared me since I'm already scared of my nerd drowning, I am petrified of the idea of anyone going through it and there was a case where this loving, somewhat 'nerdy'/geeky boyfriend drowned right in front of his girlfriend in icy waters. I still can't get that out of my head.) Another is him being in a car crash when I'm not around, or him being murdered, beaten, etc. or slowly dying from an illness. I can't bear the thought of either... But then again, I am lonely. I have hardly any friends that do not ridicule me for who I am, and nerds/geeks are the only hope for me. Yet I have a sensitive spot for them and this is why these images frighten me so much. Because if he were to die, I'd probably kill myself, I'd be torn over it. I'm already torn over news stories about strangers. Is this normal? How can I deal with it? :(

I constantly pick apart my split ends and I know its very bad for your hair but it keeps me entertained and I just like splitting them..i feel like im getting rid of them when I know im just making them worse...anyway I want to know if there are little tricks to help me stop...i was thinking maybe getting acrylics to make it harder to split them what do you guys think???? please list anything u think will help

So about 4 years ago (when I was 14) I started to cut. It went on for about a year, and I cut mostly my upper thigh so that people wouldn't notice. I stopped, because I guess times got better. I don't quite remember stopping, I never made a conscious decision to stop. It just happened. Anyways, a few weeks ago, I started again. I know it was bad and stupid and I stopped today. I don't know why I started either.. my life really isn't that bad. I am not depressed either, I can watch a movie and laugh at the funny parts all day long! Anyways, I was looking at my cuts today, and I noticed some pretty significant scars on my upper thigh. I can't believe I haven't noticed them before! But now I am very worried. If I ever get a girlfriend, the sight of these scars are SURE to scare her off! Is there a way to get rid of 4 year old scars? Also, is there a way to stop my currently healing cuts from becoming MORE scars? Please no answers like "you freak" or "you need to talk to someone." I am not a freak and I don't need to talk to someone because I am stopping today. Thanks in advance for help!

my husband and i are trying to conceive baby #2. been taking prenatal vitamins. last period was on june 4. dont know when i ovulate so been taking ovulation tests everyday at 3pm. had unprotected sex on june. 7 9 12 14 16 and i ovulated yesterday. but i took test at 3pm and had sex at around 10:30 cause my hubby came home late from work,so can i still get pregnant if i had sex that time or is my time up? and also i took ovulation test today not sure of the time i took it and i was ovulating today so my hubby and i had sex but it was doggy style. is doggy style good when trying to conceive cause we did doggy style both days i was ovulating. so what are my chances of becoming pregnant? and if i am pregnant when does implantaion bleeding occur? i had it with my son but not sure when it happened. and should i keep having sex everyother day? and in sept i had an ovarian cyst in sept, no surgery or nothing. dr said said i had it and its gone. can i still get pregnant? or is that gonna make me have trouble having kids?

I use photoshop 7 and the pen pressure used to work great but now it just draws stupid solid lines! I hate those solid lines with a passion, hmph! Ok so I shampoo & Condition my hair 2-3 times a week only But lately my hairs been gettin GREASY/OILY so i stopped using conditioner. Although i only use shampoo all over my head my hairs still getting greasy and oily and i DON'T wash my hair every day. Even when i wash it everyday it's even MORE greasy and oily. So what the heck is my problem? Am i not shampooing my hair correctly or are you not supposed to put shampoo on your scalp? My friend said if i tried only washing my hair once a week my hair would get used to it and stop producing so much oil but i think it would do the opposite.

I'm sorry this is kind of long, but bear with me please... Okay, so my boyfriend (well ex now) broke up with me almost a month ago. He said he was unhappy. We had been together for a year and a half. A lot of things had started going south, we would argue a lot, things would easily set each other off. And we were too attached and jealous. Neither of us would ever hang out with friends. And I know this is bad, but we were in love. His grades in college were falling and so were mine. He is especially a jealous guy too. He's really old fashioned. I still love his so much and have been losing my mind with him having been gone for so long. And I know he still loves me, he's told me. And I KNOW IT. Its not just me being crazy or something. He just thought it was for the best for us. We only talk every once in a while, but usually go days without talking. And we've only seen each other twice. You see his mom loves me a lot and he's a real momma's boy. So she has been talking to me in secret because she also wants us back together. When she talks to him about me seriously, he tells her that he misses me so much and he wants to be back with me, but he's worried that I won't change. I'm leaving to go on a week long trip to California Tuesday morning, and so we were talking and he was asking what time my plane was and what airline I was riding... like if he wants to come say goodbye to me. And I asked him if he wanted to just come hang out with me today. He said he will tomorrow night after work. He knows I still care about him. And I want us back together. So tomorrow night at 10 when he comes... how should I act? Should I try to say something about us getting back together or anything? How should I handle this? I really need help.

I was at a soccer game on a wednesday and got hit in the head pretty hard. On thursday i went to Great America and rode a lot of rollarcoasters. Then on friday night i decided to drink with my friends and get drunk. Now its the night after the night i was drunk and when i lay down i get dizzy and when i get up from sitting down or laying down I get even more dizzy. Is there a chance of brain damage? I am scared out of my mind right now . I am most likely not going to drink like that ever again. Once again I am extremely scared fo my health. Am I most likey ok or am I not?
