[ Running ] Open Question : is my pedometer on my ipod not working (running question)?

i just starting running like every night and usually its 30-40 min of pretty high intensity sprinting and where i live its rllyy hot this time of year, its like 90 degrees even at night time.i just bought an ipod nano and was excited to find out it has a pedometer on it. i have a wrist band thing for running that i wrap around my arm that holds the ipod so it wont fall outta my pocket when i run and listen to music. well ive been using the pedometer and after my workouts, even when i get home like drenched in sweat and sore, it says i only burned 55 calories!!! i would think i was burning so much more since i go so far from my house in my nieghborhood and sprint so fast. occasionly i stop to walk cuz it gets so hot, but am i rlly only burning 55 calories!!? i feel like i fail at running now! i mean, im not fat at all its not liek i trying to loose alot of wieght i wiegh like 115 and im 16yrs old, but are my legs being toned? is my stomach getting flatter? am i rlly get anything out of my nightly runs? cuz i have to say im dispoionted it says i burned 55 calories only.

Any personal, factual or opinionated answers are greatly appreciated. 1) How physically demanding is it? 2) What do I do after, I understand that I enlist into active duty as an officer but I'm not sure how that works or what my choices are...? 3) Do I have time to keep in touch with friends and family from home? I met this guy on the internet. At first I wasnt me in the pictures and they were another prettier girl. When I realized I started liking him I told him and apologized by an ecard. We were just friends but he was angry and demanded to see 5 pictures of me. I honestly don't have that many so I sent him 2 cards and 2 pictures on separate days. Then I saw online on the same website were he told this girl that was mean to me because she likes him (but he doesn't know she likes him). He posted saying you won't believe what she sent to me and I couldn't read her response since we are not friends but then he posted that was one of two! I don't know if it's the pictures or the cards I sent trying to apologize and explain it to him. However I am feeling upset because I feel shy and that showing pictures is a personal thing. Don't worry I would never send anything naughty, or too sexy online. I am just shy and don't feel comfortable posting personal info Any and Everyone can see! I don't know why he would feel the need to show them to her.......especially since she was rude, called me ugly, and yet wanted me to go on camera to talk with her. I want him to be happy and not angry with me. I have several questions really......should I send him more pictures? Maybe if I send him 5 like he asked he will not be angry with me. Also why would he want to show them to this girl or tell her about the apology I sent? It seems idk.......weird to me

i have a speech due in tomorrow and i've left it to the last minute.....smart aye?? and i really really really need help...i can't think of anything else....and i suck like hell at writing speeches...==;; this is what i have wrote so far.... Do any of you have a pet dog? Would any of you EAT your pet dog? I'm pretty sure a majority of you would say NO!!! and you know what? I agree with you! Some of you maybe wondering "people eat dogs!!! :O" Well the answer is yes!! And people enjoy it!!! I'm also guessing the majority of you didn't know that over 16 MILLION dogs are killed for human consumptions each year!!! When i first heard of people eating dogs, i was disgusted. I was even more disgusted when i found out that my OWN culture eats dog meat! Korean people have different ways of eating dogs.They grill, steam it,stew it and marinate it. When my parents were young they said that they had eaten dog meat a couple of times. I asked them what it had tasted like.They said it tasted like beef. If it tastes like beef why couldn't they have just eaten beef instead of dog?!That's one thing that i am confused about. When i went to korea in 2004 one of my uncles were serving grilled dog meat for dinner. But i refused to eat, and my uncle said :"if you can eat a cow and other animals you should be able to eat dog." But i don't get it~. Aren't dogs supposed to be a man's best friend not a man's best meal? The problem with eating dog is that you are defeating their purpose. A dog is born to be your companion, then you eat it??? There's something wrong with that.Although that is the same with a cow there are differences in eating a cow and eating a dog. The only reason why cows are allowed to be treated the way they are treated is because to be honest....no one cares.......If 10 cows are beaten and tortured, no one would bother to care, but if 1 dog is beaten and tortured...it would be all over the news. Also a dog is bred to be friends with humans, while cows were and are bred for their meat and their milk With he legalization of dog meat, we should look at the future possibilities, as cannibalism is one. Some people consider humans as animals. I'd say most people consider humans as animals and with the legalization of dog meat people will start saying "animals are animals". Next time they will be saying "If you can eat a dog, you should be able to eat a human" The process of getting dog meat is unethical. The main complaint is the cruel methods: beating strangling, boiling by most dogs in Korea are killed.At a minimum, people say it should be replaced by electrocution because they feel it is much more humane. There's not actually not much to elaborate on, it's pretty much self-explanatory. I mean , if you feel like its okay to beat, strangle and boil innocent animals, then thats your deal. However, i find it completely wrong. Even cows have t easier. If you are going to kill and animal, don't give it a slow painful death. That's just torture. I think animals have feelings as well, too. If you don't, thats fine. It's just my belief. and thats what iv'e got. i just need someone to proof read it and see if there are thing i need to change , and i need to write some more stuff but i don't know what to write. please help~!!! thanks~~!!^^

I've compared the speed to other i7 imacs and their boot time seems to be around 25 seconds. My iMac takes a full minute... I've already used Onyx to clean up and stuff but it didn't affect the boot time. What could be causing this issue and how can I fix it. I bought my iMac January of 2011

First off we're all over 20 & I'm a guy. At a party my female friend's BF was getting her drunk. She was super wasted! Her BF has had a history of making girls senseless and f****g them. They are a new coupled and my friend openly expressed she isn't ready for sex. He's always pleading with her to do it. Plus some former girlfriends of the guy told me what he does. well its a sunday and i wanted to just stay at home and study for my test tomorrow. then my mum told me to go out for lunch with her and my dad. and i really dont want to because i look a mess and my hair is unwashed and i really cannot be bothered to get all dressed. i told her and she was like well if you dont want to, its okay...and now i feel so guilty. she made me go out for dinner again yesterday and she always goes to places i dont like to eat at so i dont see the point...and before you say shes doing it for me, she ISNT, its just that she cant be bothered to cook. and im not trying to be ungrateful but i dont want to go out all the time...she's gotten too used to it...

ok... I have a 20 gallon fish aquarium. Since February I've had it stocked with six glo-fish, one snail, and four platies. Today my son brought to my attention that there was a cute baby fish in the tank. When I looked I thought it was cute too... later however when feeding the fish I began looking around and spotted at least five more of these baby platies. Can these additional fish remain in a tank this size without becoming stressed?? & what can i do to prevent them from having babies in the future?

My stepson lives with his mother in Indiana. His father, our 3yr old and myself live in New Mexico. It has come to our attention that his mother is taking care of three girls ages 3,5, and 7 and has a newborn of her own. My stepson is 7 and I think it is unappropriate for him to be living with girls not related to him so close in age. But what bothers me is that since she has all these other children to look after she is neglecting our son. He has to fix his own food, he is not in any sports. This probably isn't that serious but I think it would be better for him with us. We own our home both have jobs, he has his brother, he would get more attention. We don't have a court order in place for custody or visitation. Is it possible to just bring him here, and make her fight for custody to get him back?

I dono. Like, it'd be your make you leave behind. Near untraceable. Could cause an environmental problem in your area or even many cities. But YOU did that, and it would echo forever in this world. Sort of like the snakehead fish... Or say you bred like 200 guinea pigs, and let them go in a field far from a highway where they'd be semi safe and there's lots of hay to eat with a pond nearby... Then in a year or two guinea pigs are everywhere and you'd be like "Yeah, that was me..." but you only say it to yourself or your spouse? Same thing goes for any pet, in any situation... I had to replace radiator because it cracked. It didnt overheat I shut the engine off before that happened. But my question is when I shut the engine off the upper radiator hose pulsates/shakes/ whatever you wanna call it. Im thinking it might be the water pump but not sure. I was going to change thermostat but i dont think its the thermostat. The waterpump is not loosing coolant out of it directly so im not sure if its water pump or not. Anyone got any ideas. Daniel

First I was getting a sharp stabbing feeling in my upper left stomach, now my bottom right. Its been going back and forth on and off for about a week. Ive also been nauseated off and on with headaches. My stomach seems to get upset a little after ever time I eat. I have irregular peorids and took a pregnancy test which was negative. It was a test question and I guessed the answers, got them right but don't understand. I know they occur between polar and non polar end of a molecule but I dont know how to apply that knowledge. For instance, on the test, PH3 contained the forces but SeO2 and SiCl4 didn't. How come? Thank you

I have taken the SAT twice now an I have the summer to work on improving my scores. I feel they don't represent my GPA and they won't be good enough to get me into the colleges I am applying to. My math score is pretty high but my writing and reading is pulling me down, especially the essay portion. I plan on taking a Kaplan course, but what other ways can help me improve my scores? I also find myself to be a poor test taker. How can I improve my general test taking abilities? Any help is appreciated.
