i weigh 168 pounds (12stone) and i am 6 foot, my bmi is 21 and my body fat is 20%. I run 3 times a week and run 4.8 miles. I am thinking about starting the gym to build muscles, how long would it take for me to get to 8-10% body fat and have decent sized muscles ? and what kind of stuff should i do at the gym to build muscle ? thanks

I dont need to use the internet call i have free wifi at home. I ones ask this to a person who works at the mall for ATNT and they told me no cause that phone is a contract phone..and that was that but..then i called atnt myself and they did something to the sim card and re-actvated something and now i use the phone ..like the way i wanted it and went back to the mall and told the lady who told me no about not being able to use the phone cause it was a contract phone..and i told her in front of everyone IN YO FACE! AND he anwser was but..but..but it should not let you do that sir..and i walked away. So whats i wrong for doing that? Was she wrong about the phone not being able to work for a go plan? i'm online too much and i would really like to get out there and do different things! friends have given me great ideas, but i really would like more of a variety. painting and drawing are way too cliche as a hobby. and photography is kind of getting up there. not hating on it...it's just always the first hobby that comes to everyone's mind and it doesn't help me out at all. whether it be outdoors or not, all responses are appreciated. thanks everyone <3

[ Running ] Open Question : Should I add muscle or just lose fat?

I run the 800 and 1500 in track. Currently the 800 is my main event. I also run XC to add base miles. Right now I'm doing base training, intense core and ab work, as well as strength training. I'm also trying to get down to 8% body fat. What I want to know is if it would be beneficial to add the weight I lose from cutting my body fat percentage in muscle. I.e.) I have 12% body fat right now, and then go down to 8%. Then say that's 10 pounds of fat that I lost. Would it help my running to add 10 pounds of muscle, and remain the same weight. Or would it be best to just lose the body fat and not add muscle. The 800 and 1500 are pretty fast events, and require a good amount of power and speed. By adding that muscle, I would focus on training my fast twitch fibers, and anaerobic endurance as well. Which would benefit me more?

My best friend is pregnant and I've never even considered leaving her side. I understand she can't do a lot or go out as much which is why I go to her house to see her, or invite her out to the movies or something. I know some of her friends don't talk to her as much anymore and now I'm watching 16 & Pregnant and the girl's best friend since she was 6 doesn't even talk to her anymore. Just curious why do people do this? What exactly is the reason behind this?

Basically i am talking to this really awesome guy. He likes another girl, who doesnt like him back, or atleast it doesnt sound like she does. Now that we are getting close i am starting to feel threatened by her. He told me about her before we started talking. They are not going out but they have history. He cant get over her because he had his first sexual experiences with her. I am definately way prettier than her, nicer, older, and probably smarter. We are so good for eachother. We have so much fun together and are interested in all the same things. from what he has told me sha doesnt even respect him. They have been dating for like two years but she wouldnt even go to prom with him so he didnt go to his own prom! ( BTW she went with someone else). I feel stupid on the sidelines but i really like him. He is so hard to pass up. How can i convince him that i am the girl for him? I will do anything to make him happy. Or should i just give up on him, because he won't give up on her?

I'm trying to determine what this strange noise from my PC is coming from. I've ignored it for 1 1/2 years, but I've determined it's coming from around the PSU. It sounds a little like a hard drive clicking, but very faint. Is it safe for me to stop the PSU fan for a second to see if that's making the noise? How would I go about doing that? Is it ok to stick something in there to stop the fan? (non metal of course)

Okay... So recently i tried to those weight (and it succeeded :D I am now a size 12 nearly 10) so I started exercising I loved the feel of my muscles pulling and contracting and the heat!! But i got bored so quick... I started with just walking but after about a week I just couldn't do it anymore, so I tried jogging : same story... So I tried Yoga once again I couldn't keep at it for more then a week) I love water but I can't swim properly!! I tried to dance but I was ready to stop 10 minutes in D: I can't do group things 'cause i'm not confident enough... Any help?? Please :3

met this guy march 2010, and we hooked up (both are drunk) started hanging out around august 2010, and we were friends with benefits. always hung out and such, but i caught feelings for him. he left on work, and we lost touch around jan-april, but still talked once in a while. hang out once when he came back, still kept it as friends with benefits. i wanted to see him on friday, since it was beach day and everyone was there but i didn't, i texted him at night later on and asked where he was to party with him, but he answered and said the place, but i never knew where it was, plus he would be completely drunk so i didn't want to risk going and know no one but him. later on in the morning he explained it was a mess and that he was ******; so i didn't care. i was invited to a party that he was going to go to this night, but i didn't end up going, so i missed up on seeing him. (that was saturday) sunday i texted him and asked what he was doing next friday or sat and he answered saying that he would be away friday but might be back saturday, and asked why? what was up? and when i said that we should catch up and hang out if he wasn't busy, he never answered. its now tuesday, and still no answer. i feel like i made it seem like i wanted to see him since i liked him, but its not like that, i just miss our friends with benefits ;) if that makes sense what should i do? should i text him today? and maybe say something funny that i read on texts from last nights. made me laugh and would work great:p "let's hang please, i had the worst *** of my life the other night and i need to be reminded that *** is actually enjoyable" made me laugh, but im sure he'd find it funny

Well this is my sisters account btw k so I'm 11 and i am 107 pounds and I am 5'3 So Im pretty normal I also do sports and run everyday and so I have had my period since last year in august and ive had it normally up until march but then after that up until now all I have had is just a discharge. Hi, I was hoping someone could help. I have a Happy Holidays barbie (1988) which was the first in the happy Holidays Series. She is still in the original box (although slightly bashed & discoloured) she still has her shoes, earrings, hair ribbons and her display stand. The only thing missing is a standard barbie ring which should be easy to replace. the plasic and ties which held her in the box when new have been removed as I did at some point open the box when I was a child. Other than that though, she is in perfect condition !! I was looking for some advice as to how & where I could sell her & how much she would be worth. Ideally I was hoping to avoid Ebay. I live in Scotland so not sure If there may be somewhere I could take her to be valued maybe ? Thanks Diane

This will be long, but i think youd need all the detail to understand the dream. I dreamt that I was as school, during lunch time, and i think two people were with me. I looked up at the mountains and saw a little bit of smoke rise, like how a volcano looks. So I kept looking, wondering if there was another fire. And all of a sudden, the smoke grew and grew and then a HUGE fire came over the mountain. It was somehow traveling toward the school, keeping its size, and I think I heard someone say something along the lines of "If the fire mixes with (I forgot what this person said), it will explode" so we were starting to run away but the fire had disappeared. So a short while later, I saw A LOT of water flow over that same mountain. But the weird thing is, the water looked fake. Like a claymation. By this time, one of the people who was with me was asleep on the floor so I woke her up and we just ran and ran to the auditorium. And that's all I remember. I'd really like to know what my dream meant, thanks~

Its a simple question really, I've been with my gf for 4 months, we're both mature mid-20s, things have been really good from a relationship standpoint. We spend most weekends together, we talk daily, and we also ensure that we keep time aside for ourselves and our independent lives as well. When we hang out we're close, sit together, go out for dinner or adventures, hang out with our friends and family, kiss, and just generally enjoy each others company. The problem is that there is no physical intimacy, whenever I try to push things beyond kissing she pulls back. When I talk to her about it (we do communicate) she comes back with vague answers like "There is no reason to rush it", "I'm tired when we have time", "I've never had to talk about it in previous relationship, it just happens", etc. She has told me it will be soon, but that was over a month ago. She dated a good friend of mine before and they did not wait anywhere near 4 months to go the distance, so I do compare, even though I shouldn't. I've told her that I am a guy who values sex in a relationship, and that it is important to me. I care about her enough to not push her when she says no and to respect it, but rejection starts to snowball and make me feel bad too when I get pushed away every time I try to move things forward (and I don't push for it a lot, maybe once every 5-6 times we hang out).
