[ Sociology ] Open Question : Am I a Social Failure?

okay so this sounds strange I know, but I'm going to be 16 in one month and i just feel like im so socially behind compared to some other people i know. most people i know at my school at least who are my age have kissed boys, gotten to second base, or beyond..they all go to parties and drink or smoke or something. i feel like i seem behind, i've only kissed one boy on the lips before, it was almost a whole year ago, i've never had a boyfriend and i've never been drunk. needless to say im still a virgin and i really havent got far with a guy. i've been felt up, once..and let's just say it wasnt a pleasant experience. it was in a movie theater with a bunch of my friends and for some reason one boy just started plunging his hands into my clothes. it was a horrible experience! has anyone else got these problems? as in,, the i am way behind with boys and social situations problem?? I feel like such a social freak! Also I feel like my body is just ridiculous compared to other girls, my legs look stumpy and im only like 5"2 or 3. im just a fail of a teenager! hahaha =}

Hi, Im writing a YA dystopian book about two heroines which are the mains. But im not sure if i should write in the every third person perspective or the "I" perspective but both of the heroines tell the story. Like one chapter one of them tells it from they´re view point and the other chapter the other does. i have had a couple of one nighters with this local dj and he seemed keen, texting me and talking to me on facebook etc, some nights he doesnt want me but some he does. Last night, i went to his gig and my friend said he couldnt take his eyes off me all night.At the end he said he'd be five minutes so i waited outside. 40 mins later and hes still inside with a girl (who works there too but has a bf) with her leg over him. He soon leaves and asks me what im doin and i said i dont know. He then said "ive got a headache im goin home see u later" and just left me there. Did i put him off by waiting for so long. I feel ive been too clingy and available. my friend said his gf did the same thing, then stopped being available and theyve been together for a year now. He has another gig tonight and its bikini theme so im going. What do i do? is it even worth it?

I have some TV programmes recorded and keep them in my v-box. Unfortunately I don't have a dvd recorder, but have a laptop which can deal with dvd. I would like to know how to transfer the data from v-box to dvd without a dvd recorder but with a laptop. Is it impossible without a dvd recorder? I appreciate it if you let me know the way to solve my problem.

Hi im looking for a new printer, but i dont want a ordinary printer. if possible i would love a great high quality colour printer, im talking great photo finish. After looking round at prices on custom made posters i didnt wanna pay between £60-£100 (some cases almost $200) for a single poster just with the image i want so i could love a printer which has a poster style finish as i decided its what it will be used for also if possible does anyone know any posters which fits the above but also prints the B seris of paper sizes? im thinking 50x100cm sizes as alot of prints i wanted to be 68x98 but most printers go about as far as A3 which is basically half the size of what i need to be able to print. obviously i would like one as cheap as possible but i am guessing this is going to be anything but cheap but hey im sure its cheaper than buying 4 custom posters for about 500quid or a thousand bucks eh? ^^ thankyou for anything anyone finds :)

So I have a little problem. I've had my period for just over 2 weeks now. The first week was heavier than normal, but this week it has been unbearably heavy. I have to wear a super tampon and a night pad, and I still have to change the tampon every 1-2 hours its so heavy. Yesterday I went to the beach for an hour. I wore a tampon there, but then after swimming for half an hour and getting out of the lake, I could tell I had to change it. Luckily there are restrooms at the lake. Half an hour later I had to change it again so I could drive home without leaks. When I did get home 15 mins later, it had leaked a bit on my swimsuit. Today my family might be going boating. When we are on the lake, we go tubing a lot, but then we always stop for at least half an hour on our boat to eat lunch and swim. The point is, we don't usually stop at the beach (so I could use the restroom) until like 3 hrs of boating. And I'm sure if I had to change my super tampon every half hr or so, today I would just feel uncomfortable knowing that after 3hrs, its probably leaking through. So I really don't want to go on the lake today. But the whole weekend is supposed to be great weather...what should I do? Just tell my mom I can't go? But then just my older sister would go and she wouldn't be able to go tubing without me (she's 19, so it wouldn't be fun for her anyway). I don't want to ruin the weekend, but I would not be comfortable at all and I don't want anything embarassing to happen.

Got my first smart phone and need to send multiple people the same text message at one time (i.e. Practice is cancelled). On my dumb phone I had "caller groups" that I had set up and could highlight that group and send 1 text message to everyone at once. With my new I-Phone... I do not know how to set up those groups. Any assistance would be great!

hi, this has just recently been happening but whenever i click on a program (firefox, internet explorer etc.) the arrowglass beside the mouse appears for a short time but then goes away and the program never loads. However sometimes my firefox will load up but then when i try and search something it goes EXTREMELY slow and then begins to "not respond". I did load up my computer in safe mode with networking and it works very well but i need it to work in regular mode. If someone could please help me than that would be fantastic. thanks in advance

I am going to be attending the private school, Pacific Lutheran University for the 2011 fall term begining in September (tuition equaling $44,100.00). I have been given 100% benefit of my fathers Post 9/11 GI Bill which obviously pays for college and a monthly stipend. However, as I was looking on the GI Bill website today to check on benefits, it said that the GI Bill as of 8/1/11 will pay for public school in-state tuition (as usual) but now instead of just that which meant paying for private schools equaling tuition of the highest in-state tuition then the rest was paid by student, it is now saying that it will only be paying $17,500 for private schools yearly. Now clearly this makes it difficult for me because the highest public school in WA that I know of is UW and its tuition is roughly $38,000 give or take. So instead of paying the additional $5,000-6,000 which I planned on using the yellow ribbon program for, I now have to pay $27,000 minus $9,440(yellow ribbon money). So the question is, is there any way to make something happen where I can get my old benefits back considering i have used up one year of my benefits with other colleges? Any help would be great, thanks. Slainte

about 1 week ago I found out I had genital warts, so I went to a doctor and he burned them off.He told me to use Aldara cream. I did but it's burning as hell and I can barely walk normal. I'm so tired of this pain! Is there any cream/ lotion I can put on not to burn me this much :( From what I read on here it seems that Aldara should be used on the warts ( which I don't have coz they fell off) I'm confused, the doctor told me to use it now

I recently Reformatted my OS.I was having windows 7 ultimate nd due to virus attack i formated it ahgain to windows 7 ultimate only.But , now whenever i play video files in KMplayer,the Aero theme automatically changes to basic theme.This problem was not there before,i used to play videos in Kmplayer without any problems b'for formatin..I tried playing the video files with Windows media player nd VLC,but there no problem was there.The theme did not change to basi. what SHOULD I DO??
