I'm looking at buying a trunk that can act as storage and a coffee table. I'm fascinated by antiques but really don't have a clue as to what makes them more valuable. I don't know the difference between something that looks like it could be an old antique and something that actually is. As for a trunk, what are the things that could make it worth more money? the wood, the metal clasps, the age? anyone with some knowledge in this area that could help would be great!

I'm a young teen and I am writing a book... Please tell me what you think. It's just short paragraphs from the book. I'm on my 71st page. 1- I was just about to fly off in frustration on what just happened. Before I could do anything someone grabbed my foot. I looked back to see. It was Alex. He pulled me down, into his chest. I closed my eyes for him not to see, yet I was still mad. I felt like screaming out loud from everyone to hear me. "Where are you going, Hope?" I turned away. "Open your eyes." I opened then alright. The sky opened too. Rain came pouring down on our heads. I fell down in frustration. He watched in horror as I began to cry. It seemed like he couldn't take it anymore. He pulled me up from the ground and embraced me. I cried in his chest while his hands ran through my hair. "Shh....Hope... It's all over now." He comforted me. I never cried like this ever since I was 9 when I lost my mom. The next day I lost my dad. He's just an crazy old crack head now. I cried. I cried harder and harder until there was no more tears to shed. He looked at me, with those kind green eyes. He stepped away from me, his hand still holding mine. 2- "You gotta be kidding right?" Roxie smiled. "Wanna dance?" She laughed "Fine." We went in to the room and we both dropped our stuff and started dancing. I started doing this spazzy leg twirl when everyone made a circle around Roxie and I. I guess we loomed like retards because everyone was watching from the windows and piling in. I didn't care. I was having fun with Roxie and that was all that mattered. I think it was 6 songs later when I realized I was floating about an inch off the ground. No one noticed, thank god. I stopped and flaoted down slowly. Everyone then began clapping and whistling. I don't know why they were clapping. All I did was this swirly thing i saw on TV and tried it. They all started cheering for one more dance. I was having fun so, I guess, why not? I started doing these weird cheer leader twirls I saw Stephinie do. They all went ballistic after that. When the song ended I was ready to collapse. "How did you do that?" Roxie smiled. I shook my head and grabbed my stuff. I was sweating bullets. Thank god I put on my best working deodorant. I swayed back and forth getting out the door. Alex was standing in the window. Did he see all that. Crap. I probably looked like a jumping monkey in a ballet costume screaming for a banana. "That was amazing..." He called. 3- The next morning I woke up. 11:00AM. I wasn't surprised. I got up finding Roxie and Dave still sleeping. I crept in the shower. I put my contacts in and brushed my teeth, I crept in my room hoping not one of them would wake up seeing me get changing. I was putting on my shirt when I heard a noise from outside. I peeked open the window to find Fox, Nancy Grace, and many more news trucks. I screamed. big mistake. I still didn't have my pants on and they all woke up. I screamed even louder when they looked at me. I ran for my towel to cover myself up. They all laughed. "It's not funny!" I pointed out the window. "Go see who came to visit us." Roxie slowly looked out the window. She covered her mouth. "Oh my god." All of them are 16 going on 17. Anyway, please tell what you think of all of them or 1 or 2. Thanks!

i'm going into my junior year this year. last year i hit on a lot of girls. usually the preppy type and cheerleaders friends types. go up to em, use lines on em and all. AND they're fine as hell, big booty, i'm like daaaamn! well, i saw this used on a few guys earlier in the year, and guys ALWAYS got slapped by this! i always used to laugh cuz i swore if any of those chicks tried it on me, i'd block it. it's some kind of move where they give a guy this flirty look, or sometimes a cute face. they push 1 hip out, put their hand on their they pushed out and smmoth flip the OTHER hand out, *slap* the guy. i've got a rep as a player, but i knew i could block that move, i didn't think it would be that hard. IT IS! I had 2 cute girls use it on me, both sophomores! i CAN'T figure it out1 they just have this cute look on their face, push their left hip out, left hand planted on her hip and then whoosh! right hand *smack!* and it EASILY worked on me both times, i can't do anything against it! it's cuz when they use it, i'm FROZEN! and my mouth falls open like an idiot, i HATE that! then they'll usually say 'creep" or something like that. i have NO clue how to block this move at all and i need to know for this year, cuz hs girls are EXPERTS at this move! it's too confusing, i dunno where to look1 cute face? hip pushed out? hand on her hip? face then hip pushed out? where? i give up trying to figure it out, i can't! but i HAVE to know how to block this! they don't telegraph ANY SIGNS AT ALL when they use it either, so even tho i try to see if they do, there aren't any, UUUURGGGHHH! This move is too good, i didn't think it would work on me, but it EASILY does, and they KNOW how to use it on me, so help me for this year!

I have 4 choices and I want to become a Veterinarian and get into UC Davis. SAT Subject Test choices: Literature - I think I will for sure take this. (I've taken Honors English and I'm going to be taking IB English) Math 1 - I'm not going to take Math 2 because I've only taken up to Algebra 2 math. I'm going to take Math Analysis Junior year (this upocoming year). Biology - I've only taken CP Biology, but if I take this subject test, I'll most likely study on my own with prep books. I aced CP Biology easily. U.S History - I'm going to take it this upcoming year as well and see how it goes. I'm most likely going to have to study on my own for this one as well. Thank you!

My tv is only hooked up to my xbox 360, sometimes when I turn it on it mildly flashes and lags but when I turn it off and back on it's ok again. 42in Hitachi Plasma or LCD don't know which it is. I'm getting worried it's new and the lag is starting to get worse ( having to turn on And off more then once) please helpppp It's fine while it's on it's just getting it to wake up if you know what I mean.

I reinstalled Google Earth, it still has all my old overlays enabled but when I zoom far enough to see the streets I no longer see the clickable bubbles that allow you to see an actual street view of the area. I'm looking at the help section for Google Earth but can not find anything to help me resolve this. Does anyone know how to get this back or did they remove this feature??

Whenever I try to download something like Frostwire or Google Chrome my computer it pulls up a message that says the file is potentially harmful(I've tried lowering my security settings but it doesn't work). I have a three year old MacBook that is currently running on Snow Leopard. I know enough about computers to operate them well, but I'm no expert when it comes to technical stuff. Lately I've been feeling like my MacBook is on the downhill slide. It freezes up every now and then, forcing me to restart it, my applications crash more often, and I've been seeing a lot of the rainbow wheel. My question is, will upgrading to OS X Lion make my MacBook run better? Or will it make matters worse, trying to run something that is really best made for computers that are newer as opposed to three years old.

Id always thought its beter to stay near parents incase you have problems with flatmates or housemates, or if you find yourself in a difficult situation living wise and find yourself becoming depressed at university. The closer you are to your parents the more they can support you should such problems ever arise. In my final year of university, I was faced with a situation where I could no longer live in the flat I had paid for (my flatmates turned out to be bitches) but because I was in the same city as my parents I was able to commute from home for the rest of the year. Had I gone miles away from home I dont know what Id have done in such a situation. But some people still choose to move far away from home for university. How do they cope in such situations?
