I'm a guy I'm 5'9, 19, and I used to weight 255 pounds. After deciding to be more healthier, last August I started to watch my diet and exercise. I've dropped roughly 90 pounds and weight 166. The thing is, i still have loose skin, mainly around my butt. I used to have a lot of junk in the trunk, lol. Also, I have some in my stomach but what I am most concerned with is my chest. It looks like I still have man boobs, but when I squeeze them, it's just loose deflated skin, which hurts my self esteem. I do cardio and I do weight training as well but I still look like crap. I'm still embarrassed to take my shirt off. My mother says the only way to get rid of the extra skin is have removal surgery. Seeing as how most of the time insurance companies don't cover such an expensive surgery, I don't know how I would get this done. I'm just a 19 year old college student. I don't know what to do and I don't see why insurance companies don't cover such a surgery. They claim to cover things that interfere with life but living with loose skin can harm you psychologically, I know it has me. Help.

I have two scenarios for class with some questions that I have answered. I included the questions and my answers. If someone could just check them over and if I am wrong help me to understand why and what direction I can go from there?! Thanks so much in advance! 10 points to the most helpful answer. The First Scenario: Richard Petri is the chief financial officer at Computer Electronics, Inc. In this capacity, he attends all monthly board of directors meetings. A special meeting of the board of directors was called to discuss substantially increasing the amount of cash dividends paid to stockholders this year. The board voted unanimously to increase the dividend. Later that night, Richard called his uncle and hinted around that Computer Electronics, Inc., was going to make its stockholders very happy. His uncle didn't own any stock in Computer Electronics but went out and purchased 500 shares the next day. Did Richard do anything unethical? I think he did give away some information that perhaps he shouldn't have. I don't know if it is truly unethical though; or that was his intent to get his uncle to purchase stocks. In my opinion though, he probably shouldn't have said anything until after news had been released. This way he avoids any speculation that he was giving out information he shouldn't have; especially with the position he is in. Would your answer be different if Richard specifically stated that the dividends on Computer Electronics, Inc., were being increased substantially? Yes, I believe that that would be unethical to give out that information. Since it is a publicly owned corporation and the sale of stocks could be affected by this if the information was not yet released. Richard's uncle could make a substantial gain on investment if he purchases stock in the company. What should Richard's boss do if he finds out what Richard said to his uncle? Worst case scenario, Richard could be removed from the position of CFO, if the information he gives out was not yet supposed to be released. If he did not state the information outright though he could be reprimanded for his actions. This is because now the company is going to have to pay an extra shareholder increased dividends. The Second Scenario: Garcia Corporation has paid 60 consecutive quarterly cash dividends (15 years). The last 6 months, however, have been a cash drain on the company, as profit margins have been greatly narrowed by increasing competition. With a cash balance sufficient to meet only day-to-day operating needs, the president, Tom Henson, has decided that a stock dividend instead of a cash dividend should be declared. He tells Garcia's financial vice president, Andrea Lane, to issue a press release stating that the company is expanding its consecutive dividend record with the issuance of a 5% stock dividend. "Write the press release convincing the stockholders that the stock dividend is just as good as a cash dividend," he orders. "Just watch our stock rise when we announce the stock dividend; it must be a good thing if that happens." Who are the stakeholders in this situation? The stakeholders in this situation would be the stockholders, the President and the Vice President, in my opinion. Is there anything unethical about Henson's intentions or actions? In a way Henson may or may not be acting unethical. He is worried about keeping his company afloat and trying to keep the stockholders happy as well. On the other hand, he is trying to pull the wool over the stockholder's eyes and convince them that the stock dividends are as good as cash dividends. What is the effect of a stock dividend on a corporation's stockholders' equity account? "A stock dividend does not decrease total stockholders' equity or total assets." (p612) So, in this case I would say that it would not affect the stockholders' equity account. The number of stocks that a stockholder owns will increase, but their percentage of the company will remain the same. Which would you rather receive as a stockholder - a cash dividend or a stock dividend? Why? I think that I would rather have the cash dividends than the stock dividends. Even though I would have to pay tax I would still be getting cash on a regular basis (quarterly in this case) from the company. To me this is better to have money in my pocket than to have more stocks. Also, if I were to pick stock dividend the price per share would drop every time I earned a dividend, along with not increasing the company's value. This is why I think I would prefer cash dividends.

my boyfriend and i use the withdrawal method and i track my cycle online. we are not ttc and know it is the least effective birth control method, but we accept that pregnancy is a possibility with this method and are ok with it. i have been tracking my cycles and i have not been a day off since i started 8 months ago. my bf and i didn't have sex during my supposed ovulation days, nor the days around it. i try to be careful about that at least. but i was supposed to get my period 4 days ago and haven't yet. i didn't and haven't experienced any of my normal pms symptoms, except i have been cramping the last few days. this cramping is different though. it is usually extreme and painful, as i get heavy periods, but this is mild and it comes and goes. most of the time it is not even present. plus tonight i was cooking dinner and i got really dizzy and had to sit down and drink something, this was before i even got the stove going, so it wasn't hot at all. about an hour after dinner the nausea started and i have been feeling this way ever since. it has been a few hours, i took 2 pepto chewables and they did absolutely nothing. could i be pregnant despite not doing anything on the days i was supposedly ovulating?

i spend 1.5 years losing 100 lbs (again) i am eating healthy, and i feel satisfied with what i eat. but something i feel like eating because i enjoy food and want to continue even when im full. its always been a stuggle of mine. to stop myself. i have never been bulimic/anorexic. nor have i thrown up from overeating. but i do eat until im very full sometimes.

Nancy Grace, ironically enough is more to blame for the acquittal of Casey Anthony than anyone else. Had it not been for the amount of attention the case received, due mostly to Miss Grace, Miss Anthony would not have been able secure an excellent legal team, the jury pool would not have been nearly as thinned, and the national pressure to push for the death penalty would not have been so strong. Do you agree or disagree, and why?

only twice today is the first signs of diarrhea , and vomited the three times in the past four days. we live in hot weather i thought of dehydration but she is mostly lazy indoor type. she swims on a weekly bases and walks everyday. all other behavior seems to be normal. she doesnt eat grass. like most dogs do for stomach ache.

To fill you in, I had TGA back when I was born in 1988. Followed by the arterial switch in 1989. However, I just spent a week in the black hills of South Dakota (~5000 ft ^ sea level). I felt heavy breathing and had many more "breathing spasms" than normal. Breathing spasms are just a quick set of inhales and exhales. Then i return to normal breathing. Also my heart pumped stronger but generally the same heart rate. I felt the heart pump blood with out thinking about it. I have been back at normal elevation (~600 ft ^ sea level) now for 35 hours and still feel the heart pound strong if I do anything strenuous. (breathing is normal now) Any ideas on this besides the barometric pressure change?

I'm 19 years old, and right now I am worried about having a lot of wrinkles in the future. I want to start doing as much as I can now to minimize the amount of wrinkles I will have when I get older. Would putting a lot of wrinkle cream from now until I am older help? Also, I have heard that putting sunscreen on your face can help protect the skin from sun damage which causes wrinkles, but everytime I put it on my face, it makes my face extremely oily and causes it to get many pimples. I had my industrial bar peircing may be infected. I had it for 2 weeks, and i do take good care of it. i use to clean it 2-3 times a day . and i would never twist it , only when i was cleaning it. then once it hit a week , i didnt clean it as much, only before bed. and my hair would get tangled in it. i guess since i had no problems with it , i thaught it was okay to slack off a bit, lol. well i went fishing today , and came home to find puss by the bottom of the right hole. i started crying cause i saw a video on youtube of a girl who got a bad infection and it almost killed her and she had to get her ear sliced open. lolol. well my mom cleeaned it with proxide and got the puss out. it was only a little bit , thankgod. and she put somthing else on it , somthing to clean it ? well yeah , am i doing everything right. anything else i can do ?

I came back from one recently (well two weeks ago) and i entered the EM for the first time which is composed of people in universities and parents. So people seem nice at these retreats and this one guy seemed to actually acknowledge me by putting his arm around me on several occasions. I've seen him around a lot and I thought i could look up to him as an older brother as he seems quiter than the other guys (i'm going to be a freshmen in uni and I'm a guy) but at church whenever i try talking to him he either ignores me and isn't that close. Which brings me to my next paragraph... At retreats, I felt it many times before where I was so committed to making a change in who I am and in my faith in God and how i interact with others, but i realized a lot of other people make these commitments as well. But words are just words, they're empty unless there is action to back them up you know what I mean? I fall into this category and i'm sure only 2% of our church are actual christians which i can see by how they act. I think i'm going crazy but i hate how people just seem to say empty words, thus i hate myself because i've wasted my breath saying words without actual meaning in them, just like how many people sing worship songs because its catchy, not paying attention to the lyrics at all. So we have another retreat in early August and I'm contemplating whether I should go or not? Why am I wondering about this is because I think it's a waste of time and I'm going to end up getting hurt because people seem to convince me they're going to actually acknowledge me/be my friend but in the end 2 weeks after we just stop our relationship/commitment to God. To sum my question up, why bother going on retreats?

Why is a spinning bike wheel so hard to turn? Centripetal force pushes or pulls an object towards the center of the circle, and without it, the object would continue in a straight line. Newton's first law of motion, inertia, is a law that states that any object will resist changes to its state of motion or direction. So an object at rest wants to stay at rest, and an object in motion wants to stay in motion, and an object wants to continue following the same path. The Centripetal force acting on the bike wheel, combined with inertia, is what makes it so hard to turn the bike wheel from side to side.

I ordered all the colors online cause I saw pictures and they looked neat, but I was walking through wal-mart today and heard these girls who tried them say they were nasty looking. I don't know if I should cancel my order =(
