Lately I have been feeling depressed, and I'm not quite sure why. I work a lot, but I enjoy my job for the most part, and I consider some of my coworkers friends. I just don't seem to enjoy some of the things I used to, like video games, anime, and music. I think I just need some time to myself, but I hear its not good to isolate yourself if you are depressed. I think I may just stop using facebook and instant messaging programs to just relax and find things I enjoy, so I can get to find the real me again. Any other ideas/suggestions of how I can overcome this depression?

I met this guy in college and he is a student and counselor of this math program that I enrolled to. Well we were talking to each other and he asked me so many questions like my major, if i play the piano, if i drive, etc. It seemed really cool talking to him but then our conversation ended when i told him he's old, because he's like a junior in college. I meant that in a positive way cus i was still a highschool student who is getting a headstart in college. The next day when i saw him we didnt say anything to eachother, and then in the afternoon i smiled to him and he was like "sup". As days go by we sorta walk past eachother like strangers. I don't understand why, and i hope calling him old didnt offended him though. But I think there was another day when he called me a nerd but i just chuckled. But there was another day where i was talking to another friend and walked past him like strangers. The thing is that i am really shy but our first conversation was cool and i thought i wanna get to know him more. Now that we act like strangers among eachother, i think it is impossible for us to become friends. But sometimes i feel like he is avoiding me too. So I have a mixture of emotions and I hope someone understands what is going on. Anyways we're both asians if that's necessary to know. PLEASE HELP!!!! 2 minutes ago - 4 days left to answer. Additional Details In terms of avoiding me, he would never try to look in my direction. He's a counselor who is supposed to be checking students like me but he never shows up there. When my friends and i were somewhere near him he didnt even try to turn and look. He's avoiding me alot.

He told me and I quote, "I don't know what our friendship holds" he tells me I'm truly amazing and wonderful and beautiful and perfect just the way I am. He thinks he's too old for me, but he says that any guy would be lucky to date me, and that includes him. There is a 15 year age difference. I'm 20, he's 35. But he is truly sweet and a total gentleman. I like him, alot......but we're still at that friend stage and I can't tell if he wants more. He told me that in the fall, if I still want to, that he is going to take me to the dome to watch a St. Louis Rams game with him...he is a die hard fan and he knows I'm the least sporty person he knows..but he thinks it's cute that I'm not a fan. I told him I would do some homework on them before this fall and he is helping me with that.

So we are gonna flash back to 2nd grade okay? Here we are two innocent little second graders sitting in class when I hear a psst behind me so I turn around and see a classmate with a note in their hand for me. Then some kid tells the teacher that this boy (let's use the name Parker) is passing notes so I get totally embarrassed and put it in my desk. When I get home I open it and it reads (outside) to "Nicole" love "Parker" I oPen it to find a big heart with writing I love from this geek kid. Next stop 2-5/6 th grade I swear he asked me out everyday at least 3 times and honestly I was pretty mean to him ( one of my best friends and him were like siblings and she said I would actually make him go home and cry) then the first day of 6th grade came by he asked me out right after we said the pledge and that was it last time in 5th grade he wouldn't go to the dance unless I "went" with him! Then one day it all just dropped. About 6 months ago... My friends and I made a fake person. A Facebook and I used a texting all on my iPod. He pretty much fell in love (as in love as a 13 year old boy can get) with her and by her I mean me. Just a few weeks ago I got SO mad at him so I told him who I was and he took it in as a big joke! He said (and I quote) "that was a good joke!" I'm like ARE YOU KDDING ME!? so we talked and I asked him..." when you said if I lived by you I would totally date you, you were kidding right?" and he said well yeah now that I know it's you! (I have never told him I like him cuz I really don't wanna even though my WHOLE class thinks we like each other and are "perfect" for each other) Jumping to present day... He is currently my best friend and I am his secret "lover" it seemed like the roles just flip flopped. i have almost NO feelings for my father anymore for his horrible temper, his emotional and physical abuse to me over the years, and his emotional abuse towards my mother. i used to cry all the time because i didn't know why i was never good enough for him, until now as a 19 year old young woman, i've finally realized i only have to be good enough for MYSELF. i don't care for him, i could easily go years without ever seeing/hearing from him again. ANYWAYS, i love love love older men because they're so well experienced, they're 10x more mature than guys my age, they've graduated from the reckless "party" phase (for the most part), and they're just more attractive to me. my therapist has linked the two with a "daddy complex" which she seems to think i have, but the thing is i don't see it. I DONT CARE about my father, i really dont. i used to for sure, but seriously, i do not care. i have noooo feelings for him anymore, ive cut him off from my mind and my heart, so i dont see how i would be "trying to fill the void" for something i dont care about. and when i tell you i don't care, i REALLY mean it. ive accepted who he is and he will never change, and ive moved on. is this a "daddy complex"??

i came to this country when i was a child now im 20 years old and have no idea what to do with my life, i strongly believe that education is the key to succeed in life.. but unfortunatetly i cant go to college in this country, why? because its to expensible and i have a son to take care of im so depressed about me not being able to better myself by going to college and plus i dont see myself going back to the old country to study because people say that im not gonna be as succeesful as the people who graduate from a american university. sometimes i lose faith on education sometimes i just wanna give up on my dream and star working on a factory for the rest of my life should i follow my dream even if it means leaving my son and the country? or shoul i just stay here and work in a factory for the rest of my life

My friend gave me around 15 baby cherry shrimps. The parents/adults are all very very red. The babies are somewhat red but aren't as much b/c they aren't as mature. They are like the size of a grain of rice. I tried putting one inside my 20 gal to see how it would do but it was quickly eaten. I found a vase in my house. It is 4 inches in front, 3 inches on the side, and about 8 1/2 inches tall. I put the shrimp in with the water my friend gave me and it filled up about 1/3 of the vase and I put a little from my tank and brought it to 1/2 the vase and put a clump if taiwan moss in there. Will the cherry shrimps lose color from the small tank or have their growth stunted in those conditions?

Seriously, I'm a little freaked out, haha. I moved to this city last fall and didn't know anyone here. The people at my workplace are considerably older than me so I don't really hang out with them. I do go to church and it's fairly active. So most of my friends tend to be people I met at church. So on Tuesdays we have a girls' "Wine and Worship" Bible study. Hey, any excuse for me to be able to drink on a random Tuesday night works for me! But I realize how out of place I am. Seriously, the majority of the night we spend drinking and talking about relationships rather than reading the Bible. Obviously I don't have anything to contribute on the boyfriend/husband topic. I'm not out to anyone since I'm still getting to know everyone and I want them to like me. I'm also feminine so they just assume I'm straight but not dating anyone. Eventually I want to come out, but not right now. How should I handle this? I hate being dishonest but I want my new friends to be comfortable with me before I come out to them. Even though they're all super religious, everyone's in their 20's so I'm hoping they'll be more open minded and accepting than other members of the church. Thanks for your suggestions!

This is difficult to type because I don't know where to begin. But anyways, I've known my boyfriend since November and we became a couple around late february. I'm 18 years old and he's a year older. Also keep in mind that I'm not good with relationships! This is my 2nd one and I'm still learning from every single mistake that I make. So I met him in school and I wasn't attracted to him at all but when I got to know him, it made me realize that he's someone that I could easily talk to and have fun with. I can honestly say that I love him but as of right now, I'm not in love. I really think he's in love with me but I'm scared that he might be going too fast for me. He has been talking about kids more and more (recently) and it scares me because I'm not ready for that at all. I still go to school and he is too, so that's definitely out of the question but he loves to joke about that. Yeah, he treats me well when we're alone at the mall and he gives me hugs and kisses all the time. I feel like really loved and wanted when he tells me how beautiful I am and how much he loves me. The problem however is that he treats me totally different when I'm with his friends. And I'm absolutely sure he's not embarrassed of me, because he doesn't try to hide me or ignore me when he's with friends. Yeah, he holds my hands and opens the door for me, but I feel like the way he talks to me and treats me is so different compared to how we are alone. Everytime I try to talk to him about this, it doesn't get anywhere because he doesn't understand how he should treat me. He tends to joke around a lot and that's mainly the whole reason I liked him was because he could make laugh. It's just that when he's with his friends he would joke around infront of me saying that he wants to have babies with me and how I should buy lingerie and come over his house. I mean I know he's joking but when he says these kind of things to his friends, it makes me question why I'm with someone that's like that. Also I've never been to his house and don't plan to anytime soon because I feel like I don't trust him enough because of how much he jokes around.... I'm sorry that this might be unorganized into a huge paragraph. I'm just brainstorming and of course there's a lot more things that I wanted to say, but I know that this is very public so I don't want to say anything else. I hope I'm not overacting. I just feel like this relationship is getting out of hand especially since our communication isn't the greatest whenever we have problems. I don't like having arguments but I know it's normal in every relationship, it's just that solving them is so difficult when I'm with this guy. What do you guys think?

So I jailbroke my iPod touch 3rd generation using Greenpois0n. Before I jailbroke my iPod, I restored it to factory settings so that it would be empty. I did the procedure exactly as it says on multiple YouTube videos. So when I start downloading the application Cydia on Loader, when it gets to around 45%, it starts extracting and suddenly sends me an error message saying that I don't have enough disk space or somthin and that I should delete some photos and videos! That's like impossible because I just restored my iPod to factory settings and it's completely empty! Restored my iPod like 7 times but the results were all the same. I don't know what to do! PLEASE HELP ME!!!!

So he is no longer my TA and idk there was (I felt) some sexual tension building up over the year. I went to almost all of his office hours (for of course help with my HW) but I could not help feel that there was some attraction. I caught him staring at my lips a couple of times and we teased and joked around a bit but always kept it very professional. A couple times he would blush and turn really red when he saw me as well and we'd make brief but intense eye contact. However, even with all this, I could have misinterpreted any signals so I always had my reservations and doubts if he was even straight!! HE is european though so I can't really tell@ He dresses nicely and has some feminine qualities others say he is definitely gay but I honestly can't see it... Now that he is no longer my TA I wouldn't mind pursuing him if only I knew if he wasn't gay. Also there is quite an age difference he is a post-doc and i'm a rising sophomore in college. Idk there something about the whole taboo teacher student thing him being older that makes me really want him. WHAT DO I DO/figure out if he is gay? They don't show due respect to Serbia, and they won't recognize the fact that Russia alone, and Slavs in general own woman's tennis. Here in Canada, Serbs and Croats own tennis. Yes, Raonic was born in Montenegro, in case you don't know where that is, consider it ''little Serbia''. Second-ranked Canadian Frank Dancevic, yes you've guessed it has Croatian parents. Daniel Nestor, another great Canadian was actually born in Serbia. That's 3 for 3. Connect the dots, and get your head out of the sand. The highest paid Canadian hockey player ever is Joe Sakic, yes you've guessed it, Croatian parents. And perhaps the greatest hockeyplayer ever, Canadian Wayne Gretzky is of Russian descent, not Congolese or Chinese, surprise surprise. Bernard Tomic of Australia, yes you've gussed it, Croatian parents. These are all ideal citizens of their adoptive countries, and they don't flag their ancestoral flags on their lawn, unlike some others, like Oscar De La Hoya, whom everyone knows to be Mexican-American. Croatia ought to take credit for its own too. Croatia has Ljubicic ranked 3rd for most of the year in 2009. Ancic and Cilic were in the top 10 too. Ivanisevic made 4 wimbledon finals.
