in one of the batman movies the girl says, "It's not who you are underneath, it's what you do that defines you." Even before I first heard this I had this sentiment and I loved to have it put to words more clearly than I could express it. However, when I'm asked for my favorite quote citing batman seems rather juvenile, so if there is a quote with a similar message from an actual author rather than a fictional character conceived by a bunch of writers whose names we may never know I'd really appreciate it.

I'm a fairly liberal woman living in a very Bible-belt, conservative type of area...makes it a bit difficult to find a guy who doesn't think I belong in the kitchen because I have a vagina to say the least. So, I decided to sign up for a dating site that asks you questions such as where you stand politically and then shows you people in your area who you are likely to get along well with. I signed up about 5 hours ago, went to a birthday dinner, and came back to several messages that read things like, "Hey sexy." and "Hey angel." I'm just curious, because I've heard men who use dating signs complaining before that the girls are all stuck up and never respond to their messages...do guys really think a thoughtless message like "Hey sexy" entitles them to a response? Oh, and these aren't 16 year old boys either. These are men in the 25-30ish range

Uh, okay. Sooo. Long story short, we're close friends. I've liked him for a year.. Almost every day, sometimes more than once, he asks me for a hug and obviously I hug him. And i don't know, he flirts with me a lot, too. One day I was telling my friend about this guy who likes me and he was like "what?" and I said "Nothing, nevermind" And he wouldn't stop asking and his voice got all like, I don't even know, squeaky and he was like "tell me" and he moved over to sit with me (we were on the bus) and then I told him. He always acts like this when I mention other guys. And he is protective over me too. I just don't know with him. It's also like there's tension between us. Not sexual tension, like...I don't really know. Like I can feel it and I think he can feel it, too. Maybe it's just me. Whenever we talk it's like I'm holding my breath and he changes his tone of voice and we always sit really close to eachother, and he always makes up a random excuse to touch me (hug, etc.) He's just so confusing. If you saw us, you'd think we were dating. It just bothers me because why is he hugging me everyday, flirting with me, etc? he doesn't like me because he knows I like him aand he'd tell me or ask me out or something if he liked me. Just why does he act like this?!

Okay, their is this boy and I like him. I've liked him for a while now and I text him and he responds pretty fast. In school, we sat next to eachother and talked a ton. He is really funny and athletic. In gym, he would always pass me the ball and if I messed up he didn't care like all the other guys do. His locker was next to mine and he would talk to me their too. If I needed help in the class we were in, he would help me before any one else. He is also really smart and is a bit of a smart ***. He talks about random things to me that no one else would ever think of. In gym, the ball magnet I am, I got hit in the nose and he was the first one to walk over and ask if I was okay. I really like him but I don't know what to do. Any advice? And don't tell me to "just tell him how I feel" because we are pretty good friends, and A) I don't want to ruin it and B) its not that easy and we all know it. I do still need to know what I should do. Forget about him, go for him? Does it seem like he likes me?

so we went out on our second date, both of which he asked me out to. so during the movie, nothing happened between us.. but afterwards, we just started walking and we started having a really fun time, like i felt so comfortable talking to him. he met one of my friends and he actually walked me home. and at the end of all that he hugged me and said "text me when you get bored" does he like me or is he leading me on? thanks!

Im 14 yrs old and im 5'6" and a half, the last time i was weighed i weighed 196 lbs. which was about 5-6 months ago. Im sorta in shape -_- i play soccer for fun with friends like every two weeks and jump rope once in a while to help me. The school year in california is about to start (we have year round school) and i am going to join cross country. How much weight would i drop with all the running?

i got the car last month its a 1993 nissan 300zx na and since i got it the tach never worked and the speedo doesnt well actually the tach works rarely it goes up to 3000 and sticks there and then after a while it goes back down and never moves again that happens when the car is heated up please advise i need some help im wondering if i have to change the cluster or the sensor

I've had my braces for probably 2 1/2 years now. I went to the orthodontist may 23rd and I got triangle rubber bands to make my teeth fit together better. I also got told that I am 95% done and now were going appointment by appointment to see when I will be getting my braces off. I didnt schedule an appointment last time i had one so my mom just called yesterday and My next appointment isn't until august 2nd because it the next time an appointment is available! And my teeth fit together perfectly now! - do you think he could take them off next time? - if he decided next time they were ready, would he schedule a separate appointment to take them off? - will wearing triangle rubber bands from May 23-August 2 over correct my teeth? (it's going to be about 10 weeks of wearing them!) - do you think they will be off by september?!

the eq'n of motion for a particle in meters at time t seconds is s(t) sin((Pi t)/6) +cos ((Pi t)/6), 0<= t <=2. The acceleration at the instant when the velocity is zero is...? I know that I must take the derivative of the motion function to get the velocity function, set that to zero to find the time. Then input that time (t) into the the derivative of the velocity function (acceleration function) to find the acceleration when velocity is zero, however i can't seem to equate the velocity function to zero. Help?

I had sex on June 20th Im on Depo Provera and my partner has had a vasectomy for 4 years he also put a condom on midway through sex before he ejaculated because he knows how paranoid I am with pregnancy. Im even on anxiety medication for it. I took a pregnancy test on July 6th (16 days after sex) and it was negative I took another test today (20 days after sex) and it too was negative. I cant go on my periods because depo has my periods all out of whack I bleed for weeks at a time in fact I was bleeding when we had sex........what do you think?
