Okay so my little brother was playing his Final Fantasy 13 save file on there, and he knocked a glass of water on it. It covered the whole top of the xbox(the hdd part) and the black power box thing. I was in there and we dried it off immedietly when it happened, but turned the system off. It was on when he spilled the water. After we turned it off, when we turned it back on there were 3 red blinking lights or so. We tried turning it off and on but the same thing happened. So we unplugged all the cords and plugged them back in, and now it won't turn on. I can't get my game out of the xbox, and that's not very reassuring because it could damage the game maybe.. Is it fried for good? Or can it get fixed?

I think I started getting depressed in grade 8. I just started highschool, which was way different than elementary. I got a bunch of homework,no friends, and teachers wanted to torment their students.So I started to skip and not care about my grades (although my average was a B so I'm not stupid). At home my parents started to argue more,usually about money, and my sister who I shared a room with, got even more annoying. There were, and still are, times where I need to carry a knife around for protection so my sister doesn't kill me. Less than a year ago friends of mine started dying. Two of them committed suicide, and others died of diseases. Then my dad got sick, and it's serious, and there is no cure. My parents are borderline abusive. We don't have much money, but I know if I complain and whine long enough I can get a lot of stuff. I never do that though. The thing is; I have a boyfriend, almost out of highschool, and my parents pay for my sports team, I have my own room, but I'm still depressed. AND NO I AM NOT UNGRATEFUL!! I can't stop being depressed. My boyfriend helps, but only when we're together. I just go to school because I have nothing else to do. I'm thinking of quitting the sport because I'm so depressed I can't concentrate. And even thought I have my own room now I can still hear the arguing and I feel guilty.

female 28 years old 5'8" 153 lbs I've been riding my bike on a daily basis (too and from grad school, to the gym, to the store) and I can tell that my legs and butt are getting leaner but my pants are getting tighter! Plus, the scale says that I've gained 5 pounds. I'm really frustrated. Anyone have an explanation?

I've been watching some Reason tutorials on YouTube and i've noticed that the people doing them can edit a note whilst playing it. For example; To edit a note, i'll first have to place (or draw, rather) it in the track of the device i'm using and let the track play, or alternatively press the keys on the small keyboard in edit mode...but by doing this i can't fiddle with the device at all. I think it's to do with not having a MIDI keyboard, right? Is there any way i can choose to play a note with a standard QWERTY keyboard? Or something that i'm missing? Thanks in advance ~

I rented a car and i was driving at night time in the turnpike. Suddenly i see a big animal running crossing the road and i was in the left lane. I moved the steering wheel to the right and the road was still humid from an earlier rain. When i turned the wheel i lost control and i started going circles like 3 times. I called my insurance and i find out it was cancelled a couple days ago for no payment and i didn't know anything about it. Know im in the situation of no insurance and no rental insurance either. Whats going to happen now? Never been in a car accident and now im in this big problem. Please i need some advice of whats the next step.

I own a DYNEX LCD, and recently (more like 1 day ago), some water had gotten accidentally splashed in the back. After the incident, the TV wouldn't turn on. So we got a hair dryer to dry all the water, and after about 10 mins the TV came on acting normal again. The day after that, the speakers started acting up. Its making static sounds, note I can still hear my programs, Its just the static sound drowning over it. This is day 2 after the incident, and I don't know how to fix it. How long does it take for water to dry from TV internal speakers? Should I wait before fixing it? Are there any other tips to fix it?

My son is 2 years 3 months, and he has "big boy poops" now. He tries to change his baby brother, he hands me a diaper if he goes, and he lately has been taking off his diaper if he pees at night. I want to potty train him, but if he sees the toddler potty seat or even the pull ups, he starts freaking out. How did you get your boy to use the potty? I need any tips and advice too. How often to put him on the potty, how to keep him calm and not freak out, and anything else. I want to potty train him to pee sitting down because it will be mostly mommy doing this work, as a side note. Later down the road when he's good at it, I'll let daddy show him the standing technique. Thank you!!

I brought a refurbished laptop yesterday of Argos eBay- the Toshiba satellite c660 and everything is OK with it except that the internet connection keeps dropping unless I press the internet access icon in the right hand bottom corner whenever I want to load a page... it won't load a page until I press it most of the time. Is there a problem with my laptop or is it my internet connection? A lot of the times a warning sign shows on the icon and when I press it it says limited access then 2 seconds later it goes again, Help please!

We stayed at a Tunica Hotel over the weekend. We authorized payment (from our Debit Card) for our room, as well as a $50 deposit on top of that to be released back to us upon check out. We left Sunday, and stopped for gas on the way out. Our card was declined, so we checked our balance on-line. There was pending charges of $205. I called the hotel, and they informed me that all they had charged was the $122.50 for the room, and the $50 deposit. We had to wait until Tuesday to contact the bank since Monday was a holiday, and they informed us the $122.50 had been processed, but that $82.50 was still pending from the Hotel. Called the hotel, and the manager told me that she didn't know why their system had charged more than $50, but there was nothing she could do about it. Now our account is frozen, plus we only had $200 in the account (as it is the account we have specifically for bill pay, we have a seperate account for anything else) so that is causing overdraft. We contacted the Bank and they said they have to get a letter in writing from the Hotel to get the charges off, and we will still owe the overdraft. What can we do here??

I've had mine for a few weeks now and I'm rather disappointed with the quality of the top. I love the sound of the exhaust, but, sometimes I just want to cruise along with my foot not working the clutch to hear it and I've found that the standard GT roof is just a black tarp with little sound proofing. Is there such a thing available? I've run a few searches to little avail.

My financial aid adviser told me to remove my mother's information since my parents are separated so I opened up a correction and saw that I never put my mother's information in the first place (darn that adviser). It's all correct as far as I know right now and I want to leave it alone. I'm mostly afraid of making a mess of things, like I don't want it to look like I did my FAFSA past the deadline and stuff :-/ Is there a way for me to cancel it? Thanks

Some of the responses to my question here (http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20110707111150AAbjXov ) argued that grace wasn't the only factor. So what is it that we (humans) can do that invalidates God's decision? Or is his grace (decision) really the determining factor? Or do you have some other definition for grace that I don't understand. To me, it is God's decision and, as a result that he decides, grace becomes the determining factor for our salvation. Any other explanation says that God doesn't make the decision, but some action or belief on our part (or maybe a combination of the two). So, what is the answer? And if grace isn't the final and determining factor, how do you justify it being something else, as well?

...to eat to maintain that weight? If you have more fat cells in your body, do you have to eat more to maintain that weight? so lets say I weigh 150 lbs, and eat 2000 calories a day. Then I up my caloric intake to 3000, and gain 10 lbs. If I don't keep eating 3000 calories a day, will I keep those 10 pounds? Or will my body weight go back to 150 lbs if I go back to 2000 calories a day?

Humans have a hard time being sympathetic towards others when we are already upset. If you want to be understood try understanding them first. i started a new job 6 months ago and its great. i get on with my boss and all my work mates,bar this one guy who has always disliked me. he never speaks to me unless he really has too and he just stares at me a lot and looks away when i catch him and its getting awkward in work because my boss has noticed us not talking and told him to make an effort to talk to me,another guy at work who im good friends with told me that this guy had told my boss that he just doesnt like me and he doesnt know why! so now things are even worse than before especially on the nights when its just the two of us,he just stick his earphones in and pretends im not there. he gets on with everyone else and we are similar ages and ironically out of everyone in work we have the most in common,ive tried to make conversation and jokes etc but he just looks surprised whenever i attempt to talk to him! any advice on what i should do? i dont want to report him to my boss as i dont expect everyone to like me,and he seems like a nice guy really,and i dont want to get him into trouble....but i want to work without feeling awkward :/
