Hi, i'm a fourteen year old male. I go to an online school, and my IQ is 168. Lately i've just been blowing through my lessons without any further pursuit of my education. I don't feel that i'm absorbing all the material i'm suppose to be. On the other side of the spectrum, homeschool is what keeps me away from drugs, tobacco, fights, and drama. lately i've been feeling stress free, naturally happy, and very content with who i am. i've been keeping a clear head, and helping my colleagues with their depression. And i've helped 18 people stop slitting their wrists.... i feel proud when i see where i am mentally, and by means of intelligence, but by means of educational curriculum i think i will be behind my peers in 2 years... I'm asking for advice from people over 18, preferably with some sort of parenting skills, or a college degree to tell me if homeschooling is truly a good idea. i feel like i am finally enjoying my life properly, and that there is no drama related stress... when i am im public schools, i always am tempted to smoke marijuana to get rid of stress, but that only makes my situation worse. i also feel that i am much more well off than other people my age, and i feel like i am in proper control of my life. But i also feel that i am not receiving a proper education. Please truly think before you reply, is it really a good idea to trade happiness for what is mainly useless material? is it worth keeping a drug free lifestyle to finally reach a state of contempt? Please Help Me. Also Please Tell me a small amount about yourself

Hi, I am a 38 year old Indian woman, unmarried but professionally well settled. I found a guy through these matrimonial portals who mentioned his age as 44 on his profile. He is a prof in a US university and seems to be well settled. But I do not know him personally since he comes from an entirely different state from India. We exchanged mails for about two months...I did not feel great talking to him and then one fine day he told me his actual age is 48 not 44. This would have been ok otherwise but he gave all sorts of silly reasons for not mentioning his right age in his profile. I got very pissed off and stopped communicating since then. I haven't been able to find anyone else since then. It's going to be an year now and the big question still haunts my mind. Was my reaction impulsive? Should I try to contact him again? The important points to consider are: 1. He is well settled but neither I nor do anyone I know, knows him personally. 2. I did not feel very great writing to him. I never spoke to him over phone or in person. 3. I am 38 and still single. 4. He is 49, unmarried. 5. I plan to go for a phd myself and the university he is working, could be one of the potential I may apply for a phd. 6. I feel a more an more strong desire to settle down without any success. I am as confused as I can be on this. I am not sure if this comes from the fact that he could be a convenient solution to my settling down desire or it is prudent to talk to him again since I am quite old and still single. What would you advise me to do?

The neighborhood that I lived in when I was 5 was so close knit that they did 39th st reunions up until the little 5 years olds were in their 30's (still might be going on lol) The families had block parties and clam bakes etc etc.. I have never been neighborly as an adult I feel like an aversion to people knowing too much about me. I'm not rude, but I'm not chummy either, I just like to mind my own business. My boyfriend and I were happily dating for about 9 months when, he just started fights. Out of the blue. He'd ignore me all day and then when I texted him he'd call me names and then I'd call him names and then we'd fight for a couple of days until I said I was sorry and that I loved him. This went on for another month or two. Then the other day he sent me a text saying he wanted to break up. I tried to talk to him but he just said he didn't care and didn't love me. I was heart broken. This boy was my life and he just dumps me, over a text message!!! I said that he was starting these fights with me so that hopefully I would break up with him (which I didn't and totally regret now) I told him that he broke my heart and hurt me, and he said he was sorry and that he didn't mean to hurt me so much (which was bull crap as I found out later). I then told him that if me wanted to ignore me then that was fine but to make sure he didn't split up our group of friends I also asked him why he dumped me. I got no reply. I took the next day off school because I couldn't stop crying, I felt like I had been stabbed and left to die. It took me all day to get myself together and convince myself he wasn't worth it. The next day I want to school, expecting things to be awkward between our friends, but what I found made my blood boil. He had talked to all of our friends and made them ignore me. I only had 2 friends on my side and the rest weren't talking to me and on top of that he wouldn't let me talk to him and would walk off whenever I got close. I thought to myself- fine, he wants to be a dick then that's not my problem. Whenever I saw him through out the day I would wave and smile at him and ask how his day was so far and he would whining and complaining about how everything was unfair to his friends (silly me trying to be nice). When I finally sneaked up on him and asked if he wanted to talk, he said no and told me to go away. I said fine and hung with the friends I had on my side. The rest of the day he ignored me. I don't know why he's so angry at me. What have I done? He's split up our group and turned most of my friends against me. I am so angry at him and I'm trying to be nice, I've made sure I'm not snappy at him and when ever I ask him how he's holding up he just ignores me. I know it shouldn't bother me, but I still care for him and want him to stop treating everyone so badly. What should I do? I'm still heart broken and he's just being mean to me. I don't even know why he broke up with me. help or even comments on what you think would be a big help, thanks <3
