I recently started having a problem with my mac shutting down. Whenever I try to shut it down either with the power button or by clicking on 'shut down', it just doesn't shut down or begins to shut down but doesn't. Why is this happening?

For the past 2 years ive had my period every 4 fridays.[because of birth control] It would always be here by lunch time, usually when I wake up. Its now 10:30 PM. And ive only had a tiny bit of spotting on my tampon and I mean a tinyyy bit. I havent missed any pills but I was on anitibiotic and am sexually active. I also had spotting about 2 weeks ago. I Have been having signs of pregnancy but I wad trying.to ignore it. Like sore boobs. Random tiredness...nausea..and dull cramping. What do you think is causing this?? Thanks so much

im just a kid, and i have a lot of trouble sleeping..it all started when my dad got me the ipod touch i started playing with it a lot so much that i started playing it the whole night, every single day every night. no sleep....then i started having lots of problems..im depressed, i have not a lot of friends at school. i dont care about my life, im so tired, and i wish i could just die..when its time to sleep i sleep with my sisters and i try to close my eyes but i keep opening them because my eyes hurt when i close them. it takes me an hour to go to sleep. its also because of watching scary stuff. i feel like something keeps trying to scare me...like alot of really wierd things happen at night...and sometimes in the daytime...im so scared of my life. im crying right now.. and im really really bored. my mom is really mean and wont buy me anything, and she wont let me play outside with my sisters. my dad is really gross.....i tell my mom i want to go out somewhere but she wont let me. i am really bored and i dont know what to play. im stuck inside and my stomach really hurts because im so bored. its so hard to sleep at night and when it gets dark outside my stomach hurts because i dont want to sleep. im too scared to sleep and ruining my life. im crying so hard right now. please help me!!!! i hate my life. whenever i try to sleep scary images come up in my head. and i get panic attacks and wierd thoughts....like yesterday at night, my mind keep saying "i dont wanna sleep i want to play, i want to watch tv, i dont wanna sleep, i dont wanna sleep" i have to force myself to sleep. and sometimes random words come up in my head like people talking on tv. its so wierd. i wish i never found out about computers. i wish my parents raised me good. when i grow up i wont let my kids go on the computer or tv. i dont want them to be like me. please help me. what should i do? my life is ruined and im stuck in this house. i cant go on the computer for long because my vision will get worser. my mom always yells at me when i do something wrong...i cant take it anymore........i wish i could just die already! and we stopped going to church....i wish i was a little good kid again. i feel so bad. i feel like the devil is controlling me and making me bad. im so tired of walking. im tired of everything. i cant take walks outside because mom wont let me, and i hate when people stare at me, and i hate when i see someone from my school........its really awkward too......what should i do? there is nothing to do. im so scared of sleeping. its so wierd. i get panic attacks a lot. i sleep at 11:00 or 12:00 pm. my parents never bring me to the doctor. im really ugly and have a lot of pimples........PLEASE HELP ME!!

I mean, I think it's all cus of the bohemian Rhapsody. If it weren't for that, Queen would not even be identified as "revolutionary". My friend has a criminal record from twenty years ago when she was 15. Today she found her dog who she has been actively looking for for 3 years. When he was taken he was wearing a collar. He ended up at Humane society in indiana. She brought pictures and everything. Everyone working there enthusiastically agreed that it was her dog. we were almost done with the paperwork when the manager told her that she couldnt take the dog because of " who she is". I offered to adopt him and they again told me no although I am in the military, I an in a process for a police department, and have no criminal record. My friend was devastated and we left...not before the employees embarrassed her in front of everyone. My thing is, the dog was stolen, sge has proof that she was looking for him, and I was under the impression that she hasa legal right in the state of indiana to have her property back. If you buy something stolen, even if you dont knoe that it is, the owner has a right to have it back. Am I wrong?

I have a very random few questions to ask. First, is it normal to have dreams about a guy who is just a friend? Lately, I have had these intimate dreams about a guy I am friends with. we aren't super close but see eachother at get togethers every once in a while. when he says hi to me he hugs me, but seems nervous when he talks to me. He will ask me questions then turn around. When I think about him or the thoughts I have had for some reason I end up biting my lip? Is that a bad thing? I think sometimes, I doubt myself and my feelings then all of a sudden I bite my lip? is that true if you bite your lip often your lying to yourself? I know this is totally random. I have no idea why I have these sudden dreams or feelings for this guy. Ok first of im not criticizing anyone everyone has the right to do what they want but lately me and my friends now that we are adults pretty much have drifted apart we just are not the same as we use to be not that we are not friends anymore we for sure still are its just not the same as it use to be most of my friends who use to want to move and see the world seem fine in our crappy town where i have been for way to long in my opinion lol . But i have always wanted to do things like acting and singing and modeling and i have made the choice and decided that is what im going to do and i plan on moving to a big city here pretty soon im just tired of day to day normal things . there are alot of famous people i would love to know and that i look up to and even though they are normal people and i don't view them different then other people for the most part i do like the fact that you are around people who have a talent they share with the world and they care more about how they present themselves and that's just what i want and i know its for sure not an easy stress free life but its for sure what i want . And like i said i respect everyone having different views on life and what they want to do i just don't see how i thought my life would be normal forever im sure that if i do end up making it big someday i will want some normal time every once and awhile but for that to be your whole life just seems boring anymore but i guess that's just how you view what normal means. And i don't like anyone just because they are famous i like them as a person regardless of their fame or talent its just like i said i like how they share themselves and what they with other people and are busy with new things all the time and for me i always have waaaaay higher standards for my self and have to make sure i look perfect all the time so i just fit more of that type of lifestyle . I for sure believe in going for your dreams and anything is 100% possible if you work hard enough for it im not one of those people to give up just because it gets hard every once and awhile. But i just think about how as kids parents ask us what we want to be and we say things like president astronaut things like that and then when they get older they end up getting having a kid a 16 or getting into drugs and throw there whole life away never even trying to reach there goals . So i guess i just want to know why people are ok with not trying to reach high goals and see the world meet people but instead just find a job where they are at nothing exciting i would just like to herre their opinions cause i guess i use to think like that too just alot of things have changed . I just dont see my self living in a small town or anything the girl i have liked for awhile actually is famous she is not hugely famous or anything but she is known and its not just like a celebrity crush i think she is amazing beautiful and has probably the best personality out of anyone i have even seen i could not even imagine my self with someone else because of how much i care about this girl and it just goes along with what i said that anything is possible as long as you put effort into it and give it your best and never give up treat people with respect and try to have no regrets when something does not work out the exact way you wanted it to. But anyways sorry this was pretty long its seems like most my questions end up pretty long because i dont know how to ask what im saying in just a few sentences haha but i just wanted to get my ideas out and see what other people thought :) And my final thought i just wanna make sure is clear is like i said i respect what ever people do i view all people the same i dont think someone living a normal day to day life is any more or less important then someone who is know by millions of people around the world its just a matter of what type of life you would want to live and i dont look done on those who just go for the normal life and i also do not like those people who act or sing or what ever just because of what they do i like them because of how they area as a person

My husband and I got into a fight about a week ago and I had the Police called on him. Now he has a Domestic Violence charge against him and I need to have it drooped. He plead guilty to the charge and the Judge told him he has 180 days over his head. We have 2 children and I have no job no money no family no friends. I really feel like shit for calling the cops on him. He has taken care of me since I was 15 I am now 24. If he goes to jail I can't pay bills If I did get a job I have anyone to watch the kids idk wat 2 do I made a horrible mistake. If I go in and tell the judge I lied will that get the charges drooped against him even though he already pleaded guilty? I am willing to do a little bit of jail time if it means that my kids won't be out on the streets. If I go to jail he can keep working an afford a sitter.

I have a 1959 Zenith AM/FM tube radio. It has worked great on both AM and FM since I bought it about a month ago. Now when I turn it on, AM works like it always did, but I only get static on FM when it used to receive stations. I haven't done anything to it so I don't see any reason for it to stop working. Now, don't tell me that it's too old to receive FM station between 88 and 108 because I've been listening to what 106.5 is in my area on it until it stopped working right. This is a model M723, there are several strong stations in my area which it used to pick up, I don't get any FM when I play with the AM/FM switch, and it hasn't gotten wet.

One person has posted the same story thousands of times with hundereds of accounts for at least the last two and a half years. I am not exaggerating the numbers. Every 5-6 months, a new "episode" is added to the "saga". Many people know it for what it is and I know it has been reported. I explain why it is reported each time I report it (fifteen times under 12 accounts yesterday alone). I have kept records in my watchlist and I know it is only removed 10% of the times I report it or less. Yahoo knows about it. Why is it not addressed? Would this not be EXCESSIVE reposting even if it were true? Isn't the act of using so many accounts abuse?

There is a guy from work who seemed to be interested in me from the first time I met him. Every single time I'm in the facility, he either passes me by or he comes to the area where I work or when I'm in the middle of no where in the facility he again passes me by. I'n not really interested in him although I have this thing where once I get a feeling that someone likes me then I want to keep them liking me and interested in me. This guy goes out of his way to help me. Reaches out when I am looking for things in the locker room because he's taller than me. I am a shy girl and I try to make it appear as if I'm not interested in him although I love his attention. I've had the same need with other guys who showed me at a least a subtle hint that they liked me. I have no idea why I am like this? How can I change? because all I look forward to each day is to attract these guys who I come across in life. So my other question is, how can I start talking with this guy because I pretend to not care about him each time I pass him by?

I feel like I lost my soul mate. I know that if it was meant to be, than we'd be together, but I just feel so lost. I broke up with my finance four months ago and I am still having such a hard time "moving on." He was my best friend. Things turned very sour very quickly after he broke up with me.My knight in shining armor rusted, pretty fast. He did it over the phone and refused to talk to me after. The few times we did email or text it was very mean. This was not the man I knew. I realize that he didn't really love me. Yes he was probably in love with me, but that's easy. Anyone can convince themselves that they're in love. It's all about the passion and excitement and romance. It's fun and easy. There was really nothing he could have said or done to make me walk out like he did. That's love. We had two fights in our entire relationship. I didn't even think that they were that big of a deal, but obviously he did. He walked out on me both times. It's pretty obvious now, I didn't know this guy very well. i never thought in a million years that he'd treat me so poorly. I don't want to get back together with him (I mean I would even though I know it wouldn't work) There's too much water under the bridge now, too many hurt feelings and no trust. My friends or at least the people I thought were my friends now have nothing to do with me. I went from the ring leader to the fifth wheel pretty quickly. I feel really alone. It's hard to keep myself busy, I do try but it's hard. I don't know what else to do. It feels like my life is over. I'm only 22. Things were so good five months ago, and now they are so horrible. What do I do? How can I make myself feel better?

I am 15 year old male and about 5'8"-5'9". I weigh about 187-190 pounds. I am overweight but not obese. My BMI is about 28. Is it alright if I don't eat for a week to lose weight? I have tried exercising by running on the treadmill everyday for twenty minutes to half an hour at steep incline but notice no change in my weight. So should I fast for a week to lose some weight?
