I have just completed 5 years in the navy as a machinist mate. I have a few college courses under my belt from the military. I'm enrolled in the Robotics Program at ECPI. I have become accustomed to a salary of 50k, with full benefits. I have a 2 year old and the Navy has consumed entirely too much of my time that I could have spent with him. a 40-60 hour work week is my goal. I prefer to have weekends off and to work a normal daytime schedule, but that is flexible. I have 1 month of active duty left and am confused when it comes to looking online for jobs. I would love to keep the salary I have now with the benefits. I excel in computers, mechanics, anything electrical, construction, schematics, and installation, repair, troubleshooting, and removal of just about any equipment or system. I do not yet have a degree for any of these, my work experience has branded me a "Jack of all Trades". Thus while looking online the confusion comes from the job titles. I live in the southeastern part of Virginia. So my question is... Is there a job field that I may excel in (particular titles would be helpful for my research) that would start me off with a salary of 50k+ with family benefits? If you have personal experience with transitioning to the civilian world from the military and feel that it may be useful please feel free to share ^^

Hi there, I have a friend who does canvas art, and I am looking for some new art for my walls. I am a BIG fan of this kind: http://www.photoartomation.com/Images/Realism/Multi_Panel/3-A01.jpg Where you need all 3 panels to make the picture, I dont know why xD but anyways, I am doing my living room over in like a red/maroon color, and I need a big painting for my wall that my ugly couch (80's or maybe even 70's brown and yellow stripped hide-a-bed) is going to. Right now I have a photo collage but it didnt turn out he way i liked it, so im re-decorating. Looking for suggestions, should I go with a white background and maybe red flowers? Or would that be too much red? The girl isnt an expert painter, but shes been painting for a long time, She can do any theme she says, so I am open to all suggestions. I love abstract art, and also nature themed. Thanks =)

I know if sent to prison I will have t go to county jail first and be transferred Ive done county jail before so is a prison process the same as jail finger prints, mugshot and strip search or does a prison do a cavity search? (on my record I have been charged with introducing contraband to a detention center and did 45 day in jail for that)

No one is answering in the "friends" section so I moved it here to where I know adults are! I have a friend who I haven't been getting along with lately. Our kids go to the same school and are around the same age and we used to hang out almost every day running errands together. Her husband is emotionally and verbally abusive and flat out told her if she has any friends he will divorce her. She ignored him and continued being friends with me and a couple other people behind his back. She repeatedly told me she wants to be my friend and her husband wont stop her. I have even offered to let her and her 3 kids move into my house and attempted to be as good of a friend as possible. This summer, she stopped talking to me cold turkey. One day we were laughing and making plans for the next day and then.....nothing, she never showed up for our plans and I didn't hear from her for a month. Then she finally responded to my texts that she wants to be my friend but "her husband wont let her see anyone" I said fine, whatever. Fast forward a few weeks and I was going through an extremely difficult time (my grandpa died and I was diagnosed with cancer) and so I texted her and told her I needed a friend and I needed her to be there for me. She never even called. Her actions showed me a lot. I was there when she needed a friend and the second I said I needed her, she ignored me. Yesterday, I found out that our kids are in the same Kindergarten time together and I will have to see her in a relatively small group of parents for pick up. She tried to walk up to me and act like nothing was wrong so I just turned around and walked away because I am so hurt. I understand her husband is an @sshole, but I really needed her AND I know her schedule like it was my own and I know for a fact she had time to call me/come over but she chose not to for some reason all while saying she wants to be friends still. It doesn't make sense. I miss her but I don't want to be hurt again. I am the kind of person that will give my friends the shirt off my back but expect the same kindness in return. What do I do? She was my best friend but this was plain old wrong. If we don't start talking again, this is going to make for some awkward pick up's of our kids, lol

I felt my nose was itchy so I scratched it. I looked in the mirror after and saw there was a scar on my nose. I realized that i had picked on one of my blackheads on my nose. How do I fix this? i don't want this scar to be permanent.

okay so there's this girl that goes to my college that skyped me a lot (she initiated ) during the summer. She gave me a lot of bubbly answers and said she wanted to follow me to random places like Chicago or ikea (so she can get gingerbread ccookies or watever). The thing is after we came bak to school i asked her to dinner and she said she was busy twice.... so i sort of called her out on it and her response was pretty defensive. like when i said that it's cool if she's not interested and she could let me know she told me she had strep and was sick so yes she's busy sleeping and not in the mood to really do anything and that she was sorry" and when i told her to stop playing games she was like: "games? im not playing any games" and when i told her that she doesn't need to be nice to me she was like: i'm naturally nice to everybody and i'm also straightforward i already told you that i'll let you know when i'm free i was actually free last week but i felt like **** so i didn't really want go anywhere except sleep at home" thoughts? i txtd her apologizing and she txtd me back saying: "im not mad at you dont worry about it ! :)" and then she asked me how i was.

I am 5'5 and 140lbs and REEAAALLLYYY want to get a street bike (not anything resembling a Harley) the only thing I am nervous about is supporting the weight. A light pole felt down on my car when Irene hurricane hit DC. I have insurance with StateFarm but the policy does not have comprehensive coverage. It has Liability and Uninsured motor vehicle only. Hence, SateFarm refused to pay for my damage. What else can I do? Is there any way to fight back with insurance company? If not, can I claim the state? Thanks,

i feel bad for our generation of youth, im 16, and all i see on tv is S*X,VIOLENCE,S*X,VIOLENCE...MORE VIOLENCE AND IGNORANCE!! is this what we want for our children..to be animals..... its so sad because when i came home from boarding school i started to watch television and listen to mainstream music....but this is insane. at boarding school television inst allowed and internet in limited.....THIS IS GOOD! but television is soo disgusting no wonder kids resort to violence and other dirty actions (DRUGS,ETC)......THIS IS an injustice for our youth because there not protected enough i feel, and are having to grow up toooo fast. for example i caught my brother listening to lil waynes new song SHE WILL!!! oh how the lyrics just ring with profanity and disrespect to women......makes me want to cry what do you guys think?? thanks for all the comments

However, a lot of godless atheists try to dispute that fact with their silly arguments, saying that "America isn't even in the Bible" and so on. Well, if America isn't in the Bible then how come that the state of Alabama is mentioned in Ezekiel 20:29? "Then I said unto them, What is the high place whereunto ye go? And the name whereof is called Bamah unto this day." As you can see, this PROVES that God told the ancient prophets about Alabama and the existence of America thereof. The bible says that Deut 6:15 "for the Lord your God is a jealous God among you, lest the anger of the Lord your God be aroused against you and destroy you from the face of the earth. God has feelings too. When we sin, we HURT God. When Peter denied God three times, he wept and mourned. We are getting too comfortable sinning against our Lord. Matthew 5:4 Blessed are those who mourn, For they shall be comforted. When we sin, it should hurt us to know that God is hurt. So aren't we hurt?

Hey guys, so my dad has a at&t mifi and inside it has a regular sim card it uses to contact the cell towers. My question is, if I take that sim card out and put it in a cell phone, could I use it as a data only cell phone? Just surf the web from that via the sim card from the mifi. I don't see why it wouldn't work, I was just wondering before i went and tried it.
