Okay, I'm having my Quinceañera in 2012. My mom & stepdad want me to have Christian church since they have been Christian for a few years. All my father's sidef of the family is catholic though & I always went to catholic churches when I was little. My family is expecting me to have the traditional mass which is held at the catholic church. My family is paying for a lot of things. I want to have the mass because it is traditional & I was raised going to catholic church. My mom was always fine with me going to catholic church because she was also, I always went with my abuela. I don't know how a Christian church ceremony works either. Which one should I have? What should I tell my mom?

....and as I'm new to cat care, I wonder if this is ok. He's 14 months now, neuteured, etc. Anything that moves, he goes after - flies, butterflies, birds, feathers, moths, mice, leaves blowing in the wind, etc. I try playing with him with balls, paper, tunnels, string, but he is only satisfied for a few minutes. He seems much more of a continuous hunter, than a cuddly, lap cat. He loves the outdoors and is always on the look out - like a guard. He'd make a good security guard actually. We wonder what he finds so fascinating outside all the time in a town house garden!

I recently got the opportunity to study and live in Rome, Italy for fall 2012. I'm really excited to go but I just feel like it's really expensive and paying to much, it cost about $8000 dollars for 3 months this includes housing, tuition, transportation and roundtrip airfare. Plus I still need money for food, sightseeing, souvenirs, weekend getaways( if able too) etc I'm estimating i need about $7000 for that, so in total for everything would be $15000 grand because I heard everything is overpriced in Italy espically Rome. Do you think I'm I need more money? Or am I spending too much for this trip? Would i save more money if I go on my own to Italy during vacation and forget about study abroad?

so my cousin is stressed out about college. he is a senior and wants to get into the University of Colorado, Boulder. Its admission seems high but he still wants to know. Here is his stuff: GPA: 3.0 ACT: 22 (but he will retake, he said his math is in the 30's but his reading is REALLY bad) SAT: He still hasnt taken it... Im pregnant with my first child, i am currently in a relationship with the father who's in his 30's, we've been together on and off over the last few years... but he's repeatedly broken my heart and we have completely different morals and values.... plus he drinks, smokes pot, hardly ever works and spends as much time as possible with his low life friends who are immature alcoholics and drug users. He has a child from a previous relationship who he has divided custody of, but he doesn't look after his child properly at all. I have often thought about leaving my boyfriend and moving somewhere else and having the baby on my own and becoming a single parent. However i have hardly any support and don't know much about babies, so i feel somewhat stuck. But i'm mainly worried that if i do try to have the baby alone and have it live with me that the father will be spiteful (he's that way inclined) and try and get custody of my baby... which i wouldn't want because i'm worried he would bring the child up badly, with no manners or morals, like his first child. Plus I wouldn't want him bringing my baby around his friends or any future girlfriends he may have... so i want to know is there any way i can prevent him getting any custody of my baby at all.... so i can bring the child up properly by myself???? I'm waiting for my bf and currently we are out of contact. I had a dream of me in some house, and I was going to get something (or get my brother, can't exactly remember), and I walk up the stairs and into this room. I expect my brother to be asleep, but i'm surprised and shocked to see my bf sleeping next to him on the same bed. They hear me make noise while in the room I guess and look up, half asleep at me(both of them) my bf doesn't say anything, and neither do i, i'm just in a hurry to leave cause I didn't want to disturb them sleeping. I go back downstairs, shocked to find that my bf was in the same house as me, and that he was there all along, when I was looking for him this whole time. What also surprises me is that my brother let him sleep next to him, and that he accepted him and they seemed to be good buddies. My brother is sort of immature and a bit of a jerk, so that's why i was surprised. That, and also my brother hasn't even met him before. Does it mean anything or is it just a meaningless random dream? Just curious cause it really caught my attention, and somewhat random. Thanks to those who answer, I appreciate it.

Hi everyone, I know this isn't an academic forum but I think it's good to get the opinion of strangers where possible. I just turned 25 last week and I'm half way through a BTEC extended diploma in Animal Biology which was always intended as a stepping stone to getting me to university. I have given so much of myself to achieving top marks and I'm predicted A*A*A*. My original intention was to go to University to study Zoology with a focus on the behaviour of animals. When I say I'm passionate about animals, I'm literally OBSESSED and never stop reading about them, writing or watching documentaries on them. I feel no maternal instinct like the average woman, I just want to save the animals that are dying out every day. My question is, how valuable will university be in that respect? I do not want to be a teacher. I don't want to work in an animal sanctuary. I want to get out there, be known and really make a difference in conservation. I want to stop the tiger population declining further. I want to be controversial and passionate, how much will a Zoology degree aid this? I also have a passion for wildlife TV and have recently made some excellent contacts at the BBC Natural History Unit and it looks like I am going to secure myself a nice little job there whilst I complete the second and last year of my study. I think TV is an excellent way of reaching people. I am so confused. This time last year all I wanted was to go to university. Now I keep thinking, all I want to do is help the animal kingdom and be somebody recognised for their love of animals, will going to University and largely learning about cells help this? I have been friends with a bloke for about 15 years we used to be close but lost touch about 10 years ago we have been friends on facebook for about 4 years but not had much contact although we always speak when we see each other. a couple of months he started to talk to me all of the time on facebook and we arranged to meet up (we both have partners, but none are happy relationships) when we met up he said he remembered the times when we kissed years ago and we ended up kissing again, we text and chatted for the next week and then he went away, he sent me a message as soon as he got back and we met up again, this time things went further than a kiss. this was 10 days ago and although we have sent texts and things in the last 10 days i seem to be putting all of the effort in, and one minute he is saying hello sexy the next he is ignoring my messages, have i come on to Strong and sent to many messages, i was the last to text so shall i just wait for him to make the next move and if he doesn't just try and forget the last few weeks and go back to how we was just speaking when we see each other, i hope i have not put him off by texting to much, when he doesn't reply he says its because he is busy, but i know he has got the message and it only takes a second to text back.

Why did the cop make me put my hands up and get on my knees why would she make me do these two things? im a female and im 20 years old i was out at night jogging when i seen a cop car pull up by me so i stopped jogging then this lady cop that was in the car told me to get my hands high in the air and get on my knees then she told me to lay on my belly with my hands behind my head I said I thought that was unnecessary because I was already on my knees with my hands behind my head so she then kinda yelled lay on your gut now hands behind your head idk why she said gut I don't have a very big tummy anyways then I layed on my belly then she ran my name and seen i didnt have any warrents she told me to stand up and put my hands behind my head and to interlace my fingers then she patted me down and i didnt see a reason for it cause i was just wearing jogging sweat pants and a long sleeve half shirt then she didnt find anything on me but she asked me why my shirt was so short why would she ask that
