I'm a 17 year old senior at my public high school and am stuck on writing my college common application essay. It must be between 250-500 words and I can write about pretty much anything. But the thing is I don't have anything interest to write about. About me: boyfriend of 3 years since freshman year, vegetarian of 4 years, older brother, younger sister, both parents together, haven't lost anybody close, depressed and cut myself sometimes, plan to major in criminal justice studies. That's it. Nothing interesting, ideas?

Its in an 85 K5 blazer 4wd. Ran GREAT no noise, no leaks, shifted perfect. One day heard a little noise, sounded like aluminum on aluminum. Threw it in neutral at about 3 mph. Wouldn't go back into gear. As in ALL of the gears went away, including park which is run off the pawl... Anyway, sat for 3 months, worked again. Lost it later that night. Replaced fluid and filter, both look much better then expected, and in all truth looked, smelled and felt fine. Still no gears. Went out after it sitting for 3 days, works great again... Any ideas? I am not so much concerned with saving the transmission just knowing whats going on. Something totally new to me, and all of the mechanics I know...

It's me, my husband and our son's. Mine is 13 and his is 19. Summer school just finished, fall is here and obviously he isn't attending this semester. He's been without a job for about 3 months, claims to have been looking and applying but no leads yet. I'm beginning to get a little irritated since he's home all day yet the house isn't cleaned/tidied up. Dishes from the night before or new ones are in the sink. I also don't know who is guilty of it but when they (meaning our son's) run out of toothpaste or shampoo mysteriously mine in my bathroom ends up missing. Last night I found FOUR empty shampoo containers, oh plus mine in their shower, and a dirty bathroom! How do I approach this situation without pointing fingers? I don't care who did it, but I'm tired of our household feeling out of control! Both kids need chores I know this, but how do I approach my husband about his YOUNG ADULT son who does not work???

But, I lifted weights and done 30 sit-ups the day before, and I was really sore. Then the next day I pushed myself to do them again. Now it hurts so much worse and it feels like its tearing and its red around my belly button...(thats where it hurts). I noticed that pressure helps relieve the pain; however, when i take the pressure off... I have a very sharp pain. I have no clue what I have done. Can anyone tell me what I have done?

I met this amazing guy after a bar closed, we talked outside the bar for about 10min. I instantly felt the chemisty. He asked me if I would like to go to dinner. So days later we went for dinner and and had a amazing time. At the end of the night he kissed me and it felt very natural, "a real connection". As the days went by he would text me every now and then just to keep in touch.. (he was going outta town for the weekend so we didn't hang out the following weekend) this past weeken he asked me for dinner again but we ended up just goig to the bars and ended up having a sleep over (  ) he acts very interested in me when were together, kissing me, touching me, and holding my hand, opens the door a real gentleman. But we only see eachother on the weekends. Were both very busy people. Plus I have a child. ( which he is ok with) but the problem is, he never texts me first or calls me.. What does this mean? This might sound kind of strange but ill explain it to the best of my ability - I am a 20 year old male who is attending college. I am a biochemistry major.. it is very difficult. I strive to make all A's. I take vyvanse (stimulant ADHD med, like Adderall). I slept for maybe 2 hours the rest 3 days and have eaten and drank very little. I have increased my dossage of Vyvanse to 120mg's (im 160 lbs, 6'1). - Last night after studying i became VERY spaced out. I couldn't concentrate atall or like.. take anything in (remember anything). I became scatter brained, couldn't concentrate, confused, sick, headache, EXTREAME pulse increase,i mean, i feel really weird. I ate and drank a little and felt a little bit better. This morning i still felt kinda strange, but i went and A'ced my test and started to feel better throughout the day. I came home and crashed for a bit and woke up about 3. I had 3 mikes hard lemonaids in about 20 minuetes.. I started to feel the same again. I feel really out of reality and can't really concentrate. I had a really hard time writing this. What could this be caused by? Dehydration? Amphetamine phycosis?

I want to start off by saying, that this situation is really nasty to me. My girlfriend and I are really compatible; I am open to trying out new things with her. Recently she told me she wanted me to drink her milk. The first time I heard this I began to feel really sick and my girlfriend knows I am not into this. I am a vegan so i don't drink milk at all. She bought some strawberry milk from the grocery store and she wants me to try it. She would like it if i ate a bowl of cereal with her, she says she wants me to do it once. Should i just drink the strawberry milk she bought, i never tried it being a vegan.

What's it like to be American? i'd really like to adopt a siberian husky. i've done research on them, i'm aware of the shedding, energy, exercise needs and hunting instincts, everything else. the only problem would be the price. we can afford an animal in general, but the actual price of getting it is the problem. i dont want to pay 1,000 dollars on a dog, and also, i'd feel better if i saved/rescued one instead of getting a new puppy. since i wont be home ALL day, i cant house train a puppy right now, so a dog around 1-3 years would be great. any type of husky rescue places where i can adopt a dog under 1,000 dollars around MA, NH, FL, ME, RI, ect.

So I used to be a competitive swimmer, but as my school load became heavier I did it more recreationally and lately not at all frequently. I was in a car accident in early 2010, and soon after that I started having clicking with my shoulder, that has gotten worse and more pain. Well, the doctor said it was arthritic, not "severe arthritis", but I'm a teenager. I'm worried that if it's already arthritic now, what will it be like when I'm 40? Can I keep swimming? What strokes should I do, and what amounts? I used to do 3000-5000 yd workouts, and I was a backstroker/ freestyler mainly.

Ok so, please no rude answers, just advice, I'll report all stupid answers and 10 points for BA. Ok, so basically, no matter what I do to try and keep my hair straight, it won't! I have naturally curly hair, but straighten it every day, I use heat protection spray before straightening it and I use John Frieda 3 Day straight after washing it, I don't blow dry it straight, cuz I don't know how to, but that's not the problem. I straighten it in layers for about a half hour and I always go over the ends, then I hairspray all of my hair and go to school, when I come home I notice that the ends are flicked up and curled, I don't know how this happens since I do everything possible to keep it straight. Help?! Also, please no answers like "Do an updo" , because I look bald with my hair up -.- And don't say "keep it curly, it's trying to tell you something" because I hate it curly -.- Thanks in advance :3
