Clay County FSA Customer;
You are subscribed to Clay County for USDA Farm Service Agency.
This is our first message sent out to producers and partners that have requested e-mail updates from Clay County Farm Service Agency in South Dakota. If you do not wish to continue to receive these program updates, please follow the instructions below to update your subscriber preferences.
The Clay County FSA Office would like to remind all farm operators that July 15, 2011 is the final date to report 2011 crop plantings to the FSA office – please contact our office at (605) 624-7060 Ext. #2 to schedule an appointment.
Important notes – record all planting dates and planted & prevented planted acres on the maps the office mailed to you in April.
- Please make sure to note producer shares if all the fields are not the same on the farm.
- Let us know of any ownership or lease changes as they happen.
- Please remember to bring your maps to our office when you are reporting your acres.
For the 2011 crop reporting year, FSA has been granted a waiver by Washington, DC to accept prevent planted acreage reports as timely filed through July 15, 2011.
In addition, if you have a crop which failed due to flooding or any other reason, please remember to contact your crop insurance agent prior to destroying it to enable you to receive FSA planting credit. If you do NOT have crop insurance evidence you must contact FSA prior to destroying the crop.
IMPORTANT REMINDERS & DATES
- Did you remember to mail your CCC-927 Consent Form to IRS?
- If you have farm(s) enrolled in the ACRE program, we will need a copy of your 2010 production evidence – production paperwork from your crop insurance company works.
- Office Closed in Observance of Independence Day – July 4, 2011
- Deadline to report your 2011 planted and prevented planted acres is July 15, 2011. Please call 605-624-7060 Ext. #2 to schedule an appointment.
- As we move toward a more paperless environment and budget constraints, producers may want to consider providing an e-mail address and/or cell phone number as a way for your local FSA to contact you.
