PREVENT PLANT UPDATE
For the 2011 crop reporting year, FSA has been granted a waiver by Washington, DC to accept, as timely filed, prevent plant acreage reports through July 15, 2011.
2011 ACREAGE REPORTING/CERTIFYING YOUR ACRES UPDATE
Upon completion of planting please call the office to make an appointment to report/certify your acres. A couple of things that we are going to remind/review with you when you come in for your appointment:
- If you have farm(s) enrolled in the ACRE program we will need a copy of your 2010 production evidence – production paperwork from your crop insurance company works.
- If you picked up any pasture or hay-land in the last couple of months you will also want to report those acres.
- As we move toward a more paperless environment, producers may want to consider providing an e-mail address and/or cell phone number as a way for your local FSA to contact you.
