My parents are big hippies, and my mom and dad would always play Grateful Dead (they both followed them around) and stuff like the Beatles (I learned the lyrics to countless songs by them before I even knew I did). I was born to Fire on the Mountain. As in, my dad was playing it on a stereo while my mom was in labor. What music do you remember from your childhood? And not like kid stuff, unless your parents really listened to the Wiggles or Barney. Which I highly doubt :)

The Genesis creation story (and the rest of the Bible) seems to be very anthropocentric, in that the purpose of all creation is focussed on humankind filling the Earth, subduing it, and having dominion over every living thing that moves on the Earth (Genesis 1:26-28) – and then worshipping God for making it so. But now we know that the universe is around 13.7 billion years old, the observable universe contains something like 10^22 to 10^24 stars, and the whole cosmos beyond our observational horizon may be 10^120 times bigger still (thanks to the inflationary epoch). So if God made all of creation for we humans: • why did it take so long before it was ready for us to inhabit? • what purpose does the rest of the universe serve, other than lights in the Earth's sky at night? • why does the rest of the cosmos exist at all, if humanity cannot ever become aware of its contents?

Okay, here's the situation. I am 23 years old and have been working with this company for about six months. This past week, there was this new girl that got hired into my department. She is the same age as me. I've been kind of showing her the ropes all week and we've kind of sort of bonded (just a little bit). We usually have pleasant little conversations a few times a day whenever we run into each other. Yesturday at work, she went on her 15 minute break and stopped by my desk to ask me how a meeting I had went. Then later in the day, I walked by her desk while she was talking with a few different people and she smiled and waived to me. Then today at work, I briefly mentioned what I was doing for the weekend in a coversation with her so then she started telling me about her plans for her weeekend. And at one other point today at work, she was asking me a question about something work related and while we were talking she was twiddling with her hair a little bit. Keep in mind that soo far in her first week with the company, I have been the only guy she has talked to at length within the company. She comes across as a bit shy. What are your thought? Is she interested?

I have a bamboo plant that came with these little balls that hold water and release them slowly. I was re-hydrating them and forgot to drain the water sooner. And some of them rolled into the sink and went down the drain. Is there something I can do to prevent it clogging the sink seeing that they swell when immersed in water? PLEASE HELP!!

I like cute stories where things turn out perfectly in the end. I love it when the guy is cold and popular and goes madly in love with the girl. Id also like complete stories but not necessarily. LOVE STORIES WITH GOOD ART. Some of my favourites are Gakuen Alice Shugo chara Maid sama Charming Junkie Fruit basket OHSHC ALL OF ARINA TANEMURA'S STORIES (love her art) I dont want to read Naruto, bleach, one piece. Ok, I haven't grown at all in the last 3 years. I've been 5'9 since I was 14 and I'm turning 17 later this year. My dad is 6'1 and my mom is 5'2. People who were much, much shorter than me when I was 14 are not either as tall as me or even taller! So what gives? I used to tower over everybody, now everyone is towering over me!

Tanya will reportedly get cervical cancer just after the affair is found out. Greg leaves and she is left do deal with the cancer on her own. I actually love Tanya, i think we have just got used to her being in love triangles with Max, so this story should be nice to see if the actor can branch out. I think we don't recognise her enough. I was just wondering whether this is actually possible or if it's just my wishful-thinking or wild imagination? To give a bit of background, I work out roughly 4-5 times per week, which consists of a couple of 4-5 mile walks and 5 jogging sessions of 1 1/12 miles. It takes me roughly 9-10 min's to jog this distance. I am a healthy bmi and weight for my height; 149 lbs and 5ft 7". Well, the point of my question on Yahoo Answers, is that last week, I ended up binging on 4 consecutive days, (I had a whole 400g bag of popcorn in one sitting, as well as a lot of biscuits eek!) whilst still doing a bit of strength training but none of my usual jogging and/or walking. I checked the scale the day after and lo and behold, it seemed I had gained a good 4 lbs.. but the worst of it was, it was totally visible. My face looked puffier and I could see my stomach looked a lot less toned and even my arms looked plumper and more out of shape.... With the horrible shock greeting me in the mirror, I decided to put my running shoes on right there and then and get out there and jog harder than ever before the binge but the same 1 1/2 mile distance... Then I came home and ran up and down the stairs for about 15 times... I then waited until the next morning after and cut my calories right down over breakfast... and looked in the mirror and wow, it seemed that I physically 'looked' a lot better... although I'd only lost 2lbs of the 4 I had apparently put on. Does anyone know whether this is scientifically possible, to "look" fatter after a binge and then "look" slimmer again, only a *day* after calorie reduction and an intense jog/run? Or is it just my overactive imagination? Thanks!

Ok I am freaking out about college. I want my major to be in marine biology, a lot of hands-on learning, but I don't know if college is going to be quite as difficult as everyone says. I took an ap US history class and it was ridiculous; however, the teacher was a big b$&@¥! She told me I can't go to college and always accused me of cheating. And I am an honor roll student and have a 3.8 gpa. But in the end I got a B in that class. I also took AP biology and got a 102 in there. Because I love science. I have like 7 science class credits when we only need 3. Can someone please tell me how hard college will be for me? Thanks!

However, my parents don't like the idea of that industry so i have to go to college with something else in mind. I want to major in Economics and Literature. I've been in a Masters program for the past 2 months and it's been taking over my time entirely. I regularly communicate with my classmates about the class, and more often now since we have an exam coming up really soon. My Fiance walked in on me emailing a classmate (Male) the other night and demanded to see the email. After I regularly assured him that he was overreacting and that there was nothing but school being discussed, he still stood over me and continually requested to see the email. After I wasn't giving in, he literally snatched the phone up from the bed and walked out of the room to read it. I tried to get my phone from him, but he wouldn't let me. In Robert Jordan's The Great Hunt Chapter 47, Rand and Ishamael Ba'alzamon battle above Falme, where everyone can see. Apparently they're floating high above everyone as they do battle in the sky, and this scene is also seen in numerous skies all over Randland, especially where other false Dragons are simultaneously doing battle (eg Mazrim Taim and the false Drgaon who was in Tear were captured during this as they were distracted by this vision of Rand and Ba'alzamon). My question is: how were they floating? The One Power cannot make one hover/float - flight or levitation is impossible using the One Power. I'd say the True Power is out as well (at least for rand, the dark one hadn't yet made it available to Rand), but who knows? Any thoughts, anyone?

So I want to go to this certain school but to get in you need a certain grade for 3 certain subjects. 6 for math , physics and science. I have a 6 for math, 7 for science but for physics I got an 5.9 .
