The Livestock Indemnity Program is available for livestock owners that suffer losses due to extreme heat.  You should contact the Farm Service Agency within 30 days of the loss being apparent in order to file a Notice of Loss.  A Notice of Loss may be filed by either calling, faxing or emailing your local Farm Service Agency Service center.  After a Notice of Loss is filed, you have until the end of the calendar year to complete your application for payment.
