[ Parenting ] Open Question : can i refuse visits til my daughter is older?

I had a relationship that only lasted 6months, we broke up when i was pregnant. We stayed in good contact and the father always had regular visits, although at times very awkward and his mum did become quite interfering. I just wanted to get on with my life with my daughter but i did what i felt was right and gave him regular visits and he is on the birth certificate. In January 2010 the father had to inform me that he actually had a conviction for abducting and assault on two 13yr girls!!!!!!! and was on the sex offenders list. My little girl was 3 at the time and had been on a few over night stays. Naturally you can imagine how i felt being told this. So with the social workers i sign an agreement that he would not have unsupervised visits. My little girl is now 4 and he has apparently spent his time on the list and has come off?? i didn't think you did come off? But...so....anyway, he thinks that things can just carry on as normal...BUT i think not!! he has never had unsupervised visits its always been with me. But i just don't feel comfortable having him round. As you could probably guess i can't stand him even more now, i really don't want anything to do with him. My little girl never asks for him etc....we are just getting on with our lives and i really don't want him to be part of it. Up until now he asks...then i arrange it so he can come round....it makes me feel quite sick when i'm waiting for him to knock on the door :( He pays £5 a week through CSA. As a mother i obviously want and need to protect my daughter.....if the convictions aren't bad enough he obviously can't be trusted, he deceived and lied to me and so did his mother. I suppose what i want to do is say...no sorry i don't want you seeing us at the moment..and when my little girl is old enough i guess i'll tell her exactly why she didn't see him and then she can make her own mind up if she wants to spend time with him when she's older? Do i have the right to do that? and what about his mother, she will have something to say not that she has ever gone out of her way to make contact....But i've been quite understanding and i am a very nice person and alwys put a smile on my face and i've never been rude to any of them.....BUT i just can't stand them, they always lie about things. I'd love to hear what people have to say on my situation, i'm not sure what to do or if i can say to stay away....please help

i'm not hungry, really its only a vague hunger at times. i walk 3.5mph at least 1-2.5hrs a day, and do muscle exercises, and go to the gym 2/3 times a week. i eat 100-350kcals a day. my only symptoms are slight dizziness, pain in my heart sometimes, slight stomach pain, and insomnia some nights. i honestly dont feel that bad, but people are worried about me and they dont know half of what i do. how unhealthy am i being? ive lost 3kg in two weeks.. i'm 15, and really confused! help me understand whats happening to me?

It was a very load crack. then, I felt a lot of pain. Now, my neck hurts to move. If I keep my head to the left, i'm fine. If it is straight up, I feel pressure. If it is leaning right, I cannot bare the pain. I don't think its broken. Anyone know what is causing this?!

i'm 15 and weigh 9stone 10 (120lbs). i want to lose a little weight so im eating healthily, and would like to tone up also. I gained about a stone or two over christmas and easter and couldnt be bothered to work it off, and now that the summer hollidays are here, id like to work it off before the new school year, if possible. I am drinking ntohing but water, two glasses before each meal also. not snacking and eating healthily, and having no deserts.:) x i have a bit of a tummy, a (what i think is) HUGE arse and chuncky thighs wlong with little chicken wing arms. my bmi says i am an average weight, and i am slap-bang in the middle of that, but i just feel a little heavy compared to the other girls who are like supermodel thin. i dont want an eating disorder, like them though. so what exersises can i do to tone these areas and how long will it be before i see results? thank you!x

I have, so many times. Actually I answered a question on this site once, and in my answer I intended to be nice but I look back on what I wrote and it came out absolutely horribly. I can't believe I ever thought it might be an appropriate thing to say, and I feel so ashamed and guilty over it. I can't even bring myself to type out what I wrote, but basically I feel super awful. I feel stupid asking this, but I want to make sure I'm not being stupid thinking these are signs. A friend of mine and I are very close, and I've liked him for a while. We only recently started talking again, but now that we are talking again I'm seeing a lot of "signs" that he may like me. Such as some of the following: - He'll call me every night and talk to me for an hour or more, til one of us falls asleep. - He calls me "hun" a lot, and puts hearts in his text messages. - He says "I love you" to me often (and types "I love ya" in texts?) - He came to see me at a place he didn't want to go to, just because he knew it'd mean a lot to me. - I've caught him watching me when I wasn't anywhere near him (Unlike most guys, even after I caught him, he didn't look away.) - Without thinking (I think) he put his arm around me, then noticed and covered it up by picking me up and carrying me about ten feet. - He hugs on me a lot, and sometimes doesn't let go right away. - I think it past his mind to kiss me last night, as he moved, paused, and kissed me on the forehead. - He'll say stuff just because he knows its going to bother me (not always in a bad way) - He tells me stuff he won't tell anyone else. - He does say stuff just to make me laugh or smile a lot. - He has called me cute or pretty a few times before, and not just when I said I wasn't pretty. - He lets me lean on him or lay on him while I talk with him. So do these sound like signs to anyone else, or am I just reading too much into it? I explained to a couple of my friend's how he's been acting, and they think he's just denying his true feelings for me. He calls me his sister, but doesn't act like it at all, and he knows I do not think of him as a brother. He's perfectly ok with that. None of it makes sense! Opinions please? I've never had a guy act quite like this around me before. I've had guys like me before, but they didn't ever act like it until they were asking me out.

Since I was a kid i used that kind of deodorant and i had allergy problems , it was very itchy so i kept scratching it , till it was red and now that it has healed a bit , it is now very dark. And even if i clean it when i shower it wont go away.And now my underarm is very dark and its kinda embarrassing when i use sleeveless. :( How do i treat this? I have read through other posts and gone to Start then Device Manager to try and find the camera but cant. Ive also done a system restore with no luck. what does it mean if another woman gives you the triangulation look? you know, looking at your eyes then moving slowly down to your mouth. There's this woman i met a couple of months ago, i've only seen her a couple of times and we don't talk outside of the times i have bumped into her. first time i met her she asked about where i work and few days later she came in (she hasn't been in since) but i've seen her out quite a few times. she's always asking me about myself and seems interested in everything about me. she looks me up and down quite a bit and does that triangulation thing where they stare at your eyes then slowly move down to the lips. sometimes she stands so close to me she could probe hear my heart beating. she had her hand on my leg once as she kept a balance of putting her shoe on. I keep getting this vibe that she's attracted to me and she seems impressed by me but her pupils don't dilate when she looks at me.. It's hard to explain in words. Are there any other signs she might be attracted to me?

I have a 4-5 month old pitbull and golden lab mix. He is an indoor dog, but on nice days, I will let him play in the yard for a few hours with my 4 year old dalmation. They play well together. He is well fed, played with and walked daily, and trained fairly well. He has a tendency to chew through toys very quickly. Also, 6 times out of 10, he will not obey the "down" command when I return home from work or school. He doesn't do a lot of barking, he hasn't tore up furniture, but he will shred his toys.

my mums friend has a gorgeous boxer pup, she Brought it to my house today and I fell in love instantly, shes just the cutest thing ever! I have scars from simple scratches that didn't even bleed when I got them. Some of them fade after months and some others stay for life. I'm not that religious with the use of body lotion TBH but I do try to drink plenty of water everyday. Does the dryness of my skin have to do with the scarring? I also take vitamin E supplements daily - does it help at all?

After school I wanted to start working as a barman. My dad said my grades were good and he wanted me to go study business. I went to an expensive university and did my undergrad degree then he sent me to an even more expensive university for my post-grad degree. Then he forced me to do my professional accounting exams and then he paid for a very expensive MBA. My education literally cost him hundreds of thousands and people have a lot of respect for my CV. But now I'm 31 and its difficult to get into the barman industry with no experience. Whats the point?

Long story short... In late 2008 I went to see a psychologist at the mental health team and she said I do not suffer any kind of depression and discharged me although i was self harming and doing crazy things that i have no recollection of! A few months ago i decided to end my life by taking an overdose and ended up in hospital the next day to seek help and i got the same psychologist to see me! She turned around and said 'I Remember you it's been almost 3 years and you haven't changed...you still here and you haven't done anything to improve your life and she was a complete asshole to me both times ( i was just thinking that i'm still here cos you done nothing to help me when i first came and you told me that there was nothing wrong with me and discharged me).. #2. Then i lost my benefits and have nothing to live off cuz at the medical assesment guy claimed i was fit for work even tho i have a personality disorder and psychosis so i apealled against it and have heard nothing in months. To top it all off i had to pay £150 fine in court for tv licence even tho i do not recieve signal, i do not watch tv at all and i do not have a tv aerial and the tv isn't even mine:( I always had a very shit life...never had friends, no body to talk to and anytime i did try and make friends i had to move countries 3 times... i lived with a mind controlling freak that always guilt tripped me and made me feel like a total loser and that's how i am and feel now. When someone does sth nice for me i feel very uncomfortable cuz i am just not used to it! I hate compliments cuzall my life by everyone i was always made to feel like a loser and shit even when i did make sth of myself people always made me feel like crap about it! Even when small thing like my pets brought me joy they either went missing or passed! I never had a bday party as a child, i never had anyone show me love or say nice things to me...even chidren at school used to pick on me....what is going on??? Am i cursed?

I am making my sister's high school graduation party cake. she wanted a chocolate cake with homemade cream cheese frosting. the problem is, it is very hot out for NY and with the 90+ degree temperature, I can't keep the frosting from melting off. is there anything that I can add to the frosting that has no flavor to add to the frosting so it doesn't melt at the party? her party is outdoors and the temperature is supposed to be 94 degrees F.

I went for an ultrasound when I was 6 weeks and 4 days, and the baby was healthy and heartbeat was strong and healthy; Yesterday, at 6 weeks and 6 days, my partner and I had intercourse and it kind of hurted, afterwards, I covered a piece of toilet paper with light blood and I was hurting at the pelvis area. I woke up this morning to go to the washroom and the papers was blood like you have for a period, a very little blood clot and mucus. It also still hurts a little at the pelvis area. Did I hurt the baby, is the baby ok, I NEED to know.. I hope I didn't lose the baby!! Please help!! I am worried and sad. Please shine some light!!

I'm having troubles installing league of legends, i been trying for two days to install that game but it didn't work. It keeps saying that those files exist in my computer and i don't understand because i practically deleted everything, the folders, the adobe air, and what not. If somebody could tell me how to install the league of legends program and help me out, i would really appreciate it. So anyways, i'm just going to make my problem clear. I tried downloading l0l but it says that the file already exist and then it starts the whole download all over again and stuff. So yeah, i need help with what to do and how to install it. I split my nail.. Like, the top layers peeled back a little, but the underneath is still growing and so the nail is getting longer.. but it's obviously, lower and thinner then my other nails, I hope you understand what I mean, will the top layers grow back and catch it up? Yes, I'm a gamer girl. I've been playing with these really cool people lately and they would ALWAYS invite this guy ( who I like, let's call him Chris) at first we barely talked much because we didn't know each other that well but then he askEd if anyone wanted to Play zOmbies and I was like what the heck, let me take a little break off On multiplayer. We played and we got to know each other more which is great and I found out that he has an amazing personality and a great sense of humor (which is probably the reason that I'm attracted to him more) he's not that perverted and when he is, he never takes it over board. Not too Long ago I started going out with this guy and he woe join ALL my parties and games (uninvited most times lol) but before he joins Chris would always play around with me making jokes and Whenever I dont talk he'll be like "Ashley are you there? Or " why are you so quiet?" when we play multiplayer I BARELY get Any kills, but when ever I do Chris would compliment me and be like " yeah ash(my nickname) get yourself a kill." and When I don't get a kill the whole game he'll be like " come on ash you can do better try harder." but lately when my bf joins the lobby Chris Would go all silent and kinda starts to act mean... Ok, so I am getting my tattoo next year and I was wanting a tattoo that covered my shoulders and down to almost the center of my back. I was wondering about how much would that cost. Alright so I don't really, or haven't really ever got the chance to explain myself and what I'm feeling when i'm high. Here are some things. Can you tell me if you sometimes feel the same?? Hahaa. Just to add, I'm not talking about that synthetic bullshit, if thats all you've tried, there is a question for you at the bottom <3 "Orgasms" throughout my whole body - Alright sounds funny as shitt, but after i blaze it up i just get tingly everywhere. Sometimes i get random muscle spasms and i also feel like i have to move my feet like uhh? In a bicycle motion. No kidding, it feels orgasmic. Eating Problems? - Alright so i know i get the munchies. Sometimes when i go to eat it just falls off the spoon/fork/out of my mouth, actually like a lot of the time. I spill my drink a lot. (But this last time actually we cooked some Mac N Cheese and i had no problem eating that). Haha (: Talking/Thinking Unclassified - Okay so it was only one time, when i was toking with a friend in my room, i know, dangerous as hell. I would have gotten my Ass kicked if my parents found out. So we were laying in my bed, just talking. And, you see, i was thinking the conversation. I was saying these things in my head, but sometimes i couldn't tell. I thought we we're actually having a conversation. HE was talking, but i was only responding to him in my head. So he was pretty much talking to him self sometimes, untill i realized it was in my head. Though i must say it was fairly hard to get the words out when i tried. Loud Talking - Yeah, for some reason, when i first smoke after like a minute or so I talk really loud. I don't even know it though. People have to be like "Shhhhh, bro." Hey, I am just trying to learn how to write .bat files and use command line for my own benefit, eventually to be more comfortable with Linux. My first project for myself is to write a program that deletes a file and I did that, del "C:\Users\username\Desktop\test.txt"/Q/S>nul . Is there a way to detect the username? I want to be able to have it run on any computer, filename being the same, and have it autodetect the username.
