I'm thinking about a career in palaeontology but I'm not sure what a-levels to take? I'm allowed 4 and I have to drop one in my second year. Courses that the college I want to go to that I think may be useful are: biology & human biology, classical civilisation, chemistry, geography, geology, history, mathematics, modern languages, physics, psychology, sociology which do you suggest I should take if I do choose this career? Extra notes: I am targeted A* in all my GCSEs If I can avoid it, I would rather not take maths/physics unless they are essential, as I find them boring. If I were to choose a language, it'd be Spanish as that is the language I am currently learning, but I don't know how useful that would be in this field? At GCSE level I'm doing triple science (a separate GCSE in each science), history, drama and Spanish, as well as the compulsory GCSEs in English (both lang. and lit.), Maths (both core and statistics), I.T., citizenship and religious studies (both of these are short course).

like Pakistan still hate the crap out of us. my question is simple: when will we stop trying diplomacy and admit that they just don't like us? We should get the heck out of the middle east, stop buying oil and become more self sufficient. why go into iraq? afghanistan? libya? what good does helping them do, when they despise us anyway? its like the friend you tried to win over by being super nice, but they just don't like you anyway.

hi, i have a dell XPS 8100 and should be recieving a replacement proccessor and motherboard because of some problems.... it is an i7 860... i thought i was a good processor, but as im recieving a new one, i can sell it around normal price, and then i would be able to buy an even better proccessor.... could someone recommend an i7 proccessor that wouldnt cost me more than arounD £50-60£ extra if i sold the new i7 860? i was looking at the 960? but im not sure which one is better than the 860? thanks, (i use my computer for design, gaming, multitasking, and like a very responsive system that is quick to load programs and multitaskt) thanks

Should I change my deduction temporally to keep from paying so much tax up front on a severance payment.I claim 12 federal now because of the mortgage and other deductions. I am expecting about 20K for a lump sum payment. Married w/ 3 kids. Wife doesn't work out of the home.

Something I do not understand is gov't revenue and the economy. I've seen all the fancy statistics and graphs/pie charts, so no need to post those, but often people say, we need to get back to 'x' eras tax structure, just look (and this is where the have their fancy stats) at how good the economy was doing when tax rates were higher. Ok, fair enough, but I just don't seem to understand how gov't having more money, meaning citizens having less, is good for the economy, what does the gov't do with that money that makes the economy thrive? Do they subsidize certain industries? I should hope not, because subsidies do not help the economy, it might help one group at the expense of another, so what does gov't do with its increased taxes that helps the economy? Thanks

You say you do need no intermediate to Jesus... I guess you did not come to the conclusion that you should not accept them, only by reading the bible... But it is A person who teaches you this, a person told you that the pope is wrong, a person you refer to him when you have a problem understanding the scriptures, and what a coincidence each group of you have a unified opinion maybe because it works by the guidance of one person... And obviously a person told you not to work by the guidance of a person... Does this make him (the pastor for example) an intermediate between you and God? doesn't he influence you by his Ideas? I guess a 16 years old can't discover in the scriptures that he should not accept guidance from the Pope... in fact I guess a young person would find it normal to have a well organized with strong leadership church... and unified opinion all over the world... So do you still think that you do not have an intermediate between you and God?

i'm sixteen years old and i have been smoking marijuana daily for about a year and a half, and when i say daily i mean all day everyday, i'd say i smoked 2gs everyday in that time period, i've just recently quit this AND cigarettes, i'm on my fifth day, my mind and thoughts are always racing and my emoctions are just up and down, i feel like i dont even know who i am anymore, just curious as to how long this will last, and if its normal. serious answers only please. thanks.

Okay . I''m going into Seventh Grade this year and I wanna wear a little makeup . Last night , instead of using liquid eyeliner , the pen thing . I used a pencil . Then when I was finished , I didnt like it so I took as much of it off as I could . After that , I got on the laptop for a while and my eye was burning a bit but then I just went to sleep . I just woke up like 20 minutes ago and my eyelid , near the corner is REALLY sore !! , Like I looked in the mirror and that eye was like swollen so it was small than the other . research is telling me that there are 700,000 jews in israel class themselves as haredi, how many more jews are there in israel who class themselves as hasidic or orthodox jewish. what differences is anyways are there between haredi and hasidic/ ultra orthodox education, is it possible or fair to say that a orthodox or hasidic jew will be more like and have a similar education to the average religious jew in new york or the religious jew i am likely to meet on the street whereas a haredi education will be all religious education and in someways encourage segregation and be very segregated with no emphasis or inclusion of secular subjects finally in religious jewish communities how are secular and religious goals balanced, for example with marriage will a religious jew finish sem/ yeshiva and then marry soon after, and achieve other secular goals while married or between finishing college and marrying ie if they want to travel or do something before marrying

I have one week eating salads, bread, cheese and water... Sometimes cooked hot dishes like pees, potatoes and carrots on tomato sauce... The issue is that I love meat but just the thought of eating meat makes me feel nauseous. Everything began because it is too hot to eat heavy and hot dishes the idea of animal fat makes me feel giak! so I am eating a lot of olive oil... and I am happy. my boyfriend has been acting completely different towards me for the past 3 weeks. we are barely talking or texting, and when we see each other in person, he treats me more like a friend than a girlfriend, he doesn't say I love you. we used to call/text ALL the time, everyday, I always knew what he was doing, we always said I love you.he told me he has been upset/depressed because he is very homesick and realized that he wants to move back to CA. he tells me nothing is wrong between us and he still wants to be together. however, he seems to talk to his friends and other people just fine, yet is shutting me out completely!!! I am starting to think that he wants to break up... but doesn't want to do it himself, so he is acting like this so that I do it. I'm not about to do that... he is the one who is acting differently, so he is the one who has to figure out what he wants. It has been driving me crazy that we are not talking and that he acknowledges that he is treating me badly. I have been open with him and sent him a long email a few days ago about where I stand and how I need to know what he wants, which he has yet to respond to. it may have been a mistake to send him that, but it made me feel better getting all of that off my chest. Since then.... I've just been giving him space! he texts me occasionally but I just respond sweetly and shortly. my question is...... if he is losing interest, or being distant..... what can I do to bring him back? does the "ignore him, do your own thing" work? I need to know what to do!

I was going over this guys house or making plans too because on Tuesday night we were suppose to and last minute he canceled because he was going out to dinner with his family and left a huge voice recording saying he was sorry wanted to see me, I forgave him and tried to make plans on thursday night to make up for tues, i told him i could come over at 8 on thurs and he said he had to work til 9:30 so i was like fine i'll come at ten fifteen..everything was fine he was busy at work and then around 9 he says i never asked u to come over though he did because on Tues we were suppose to and he canceled so why is he mad at me for trying to hangout with him.

OK so recently ive started to like korean drama a lot. the first thing i ever watch was MY GIRLFRIEND IS A GUMIHO and GOSSHHHHH i love it so much :)!! i have watch as well: you're beautiful - omggg so good really!!:) heartstrings - currently watching and its not yet complete shining inheritance - well i think its a lil bit okay. personal taste - good! ive only watch a few but i saw titles like full house , coffee prince or secret garden, i ve check it and i dont like much the characters. if possible, i dont like oldees pls;( main characters that are 24 and below only! im quite picky in the main characters so i hope its like similar to the 4 titles i have mentioned - im looking for handsome!!:)) and of course.. I am 16 and my boyfriend's parents have invited me to go up to their cottage for the weekend with all of the family. This is about the fifth tim they've asked, and my parents always say no "because I'm too young." Even though every time I get asked, they give me a "We trust you, we trust him, we trust his family" speech. I know that the underlying cause here is that my dad thinks I'll get pregnant. I have explained to them that I'm a virgin and I don't plan on changing that for a while a multitude of times, and I've also explained that if they say they trust my boyfriend, they should trust that he respects my limits as well, which he does. His parents would not leave us alone in the house the entire weekend, and we would be sleeping on different floors of the house. I feel bad because his family is insulted by the obvious distrust of my parents, but I"m just not sure what else I can tell them to convince them otherwise.
