[ Community Service ] Open Question : Help with volunteer work?

So I actually have two questions. Well the first is about New York Methodist Hospital. I'm a high school graduate and I won't be going to college until January.(Messed up some stuff...) So, while I'm trying to find a job, I figured I'll volunteer at a hospital to build uo my resume. Anyway, do I click under the high school student, college student or working tabs?(If you have been to the website, you'll know what I'm talking about.) For my second question...If spots are filled up in the hospital, where would be a good idea to volunteer? I really can't do the ASPCA because I'm allergic to animals...(Sniffles, watery eyes- the whole works.) Anyway, thanks for the help...(And be nice people...)

I've always been a little forgetful, but now I find myself forgetting words that I've probably used 1000 times. I'll have to think really hard, or even look it up on the net. This happens several times a day. Here's an example, yesterday I was talking to my daughter about the movie "highlander". But I didn't remember the name. But I could describe in detail all the people and the plot. And how the second movies was a big bomb and changed the plot, and the third movie ignored the second movie... The "quickening", "I am conner mccloud of the clan McCloud", Ramirez the spanish character played by Sean Connery. The kergan, etc. I recalled everything about the movies, literally everything. But I could not remember the name of the movie, even though we had spent most of our youth quoting it. It's frightening me. Is this normal as you start to get older?

So i have been talking to this girl for two months. Only texting and hanging out. She feels awkward talking on the phone so i don't pressure her to do so. Things starting to get rough, because of texting. She thought i blew up on her when i didn't because things got misunderstood and mistranslated. I apologized to her about it and explained things. She then started to get depressed because of a lot of things going on in her life. And she is trying to get together after saying no when her ex asked her back. They broke up a week before we met and starting talking. She stopped talking for a bit and i may have been i bit forceful trying to talk to her and get information out of her, but it's only because i care about her and i know how it feels to be depressed because i've been really down before. I just asked her if we could talk a couple times. But every time she has been too busy with work to talk. Eventually i asked her if what there was between us two was over because of somethings she said days before. She said i was acting insane. Btw, we still haven't talked on the phone so this is all texts. Idk how to apologize to her and fix things. I'm afraid to say anything to her now. We haven't talked since Tuesday. Anyone have any suggestions?

first hear out the story. this summer i went out of town for my uncle's wedding. at my uncle's wedding i saw my family member that i haven't seen in a while. but my i saw my cousin that i haven't seen in more then 8 or 9 years, in my mind i was like wow she looks amazing at first then i was like don't do anything that's your cousin. so i left it at that. but during the wedding she kept looking at me a smiling and i would smile back and that happen thought out the wedding. the After party of the wedding we (my brother and my cousins) sat at a table together and i was drinking and got a little drunk and had a fun time and danced with her and acouple of other people. after the party i went in the car with her and i put my hand on her lap meaning nothing of it (the car was cramped) and she held my hand and i was like okay...... then from where we where i had to go with them from one city to another one. during that trip i held her hand the whole way and befor we got to where they where going to leave me we kissed. then i thoguth i was going to saty there and they where going to leave but they invited me over and when i was with her i was happy and we only made out and thats it nothing else. now that im back here and shes all the way over there i miss her and i dont know what to do should i keep going with what my heart tell me or listen to my brian. i understand that this is wrong and i should stop this but i dont want to i have feelings for her and she has fellings for me too. by the way im 17 guy and shes 16. what should i do

Okay, I'm a full year into college (University of Arizona), and I still see that kids that i knew in high school, kids who i don't even see anymore, still like to talk sh*t about me. Via text, faceboook, etc. I understand that I wasn't the most like kid in high school, but that was high school. I'm a full year into college now, and like I said, I haven't seen most of these kids who talk crap since high school. These kids don't even go to school with me, they're still back in my hometown thinking they walk on water and that there are no consequences to life. My question is, why do people still give me sh*t for? I don't play sports anymore, I don't see a lot of those kids anymore, I've got almost a completely new friend cycle. I'm studying to be an electrical engineer, which is one of the hardest degrees to get, isn't that somewhat respectable? So I don't understand, what shi*t is there left to talk about me for? And how do I deal with these people? Like, okay I get it, I was a loser in high school, but why does any of that matter now? Why does anything that I ever did in high school matter now? Explain that please? I like my NEW life now. I feel like I'm headed in a real good direction, and I feel blessed that I have new friends and good people around me now. I really like my new life. F*ck high school. I do admit, i did do some things in high school that i'm not proud of, and which made a lot of people hate me, but why must people still give me crap about it? So anyways, how do I deal with these people? I try to ignore them, but sometimes their words make me angry! Like, they still give me personal attacks to like say stuff against my family/religion/race and stuff. And TRUST ME, I have done nothing but try to ignore these people and move on with my life. I don't argue with them, I try to be friendly to them but all I ever get is: "ur a f*ckin p*ssy @ss b*tch, and no degree u ever get will hide that fact from u." I've deleted and even blocked them from a lot of social networking sites, and well as my phone, but they still find ways around it. The more I try to ignore them, the number of people increase in the disrespect towards me. I don't care that these kids hate me, but I wish they'd leave me alone. And NO, i will not fight them (yes, those kids still want to fight me for no reason). ALL of my new friends in college have been so nice to me, but the kids I knew before still are d*cks to me for no reason? Everyone in college, they seem to like me, they don't have any problem with me at all. But looks like high school will haunt me forever

If I don't eat for awhile after waking up say about 2 hours I don't get hunger pangs but I start feeling really sick. Like I'm about to puke and I have shortness of breath and my heart starts speeding up so I feel like I'm about to faint.. I have to get food in me right away or I start gagging and if I don't force it back I'll puke up whatever water I've had that morning. Sometimes when I don't get to food quickly I have to sit down and put my head in between my legs while I eat. I start shaking really hard and can't control it. I start feeling better soon enough after I start eating. I looked up the symptoms of anemia and some of them I have. Like unusually rapid heartbeat if I've been sitting for awhile and I stand up then I get really dizzy. I have headaches all the time. Usually one maybe more a day. I have a really hard time concentrating on stuff. They think that I have ADD so I'm on aderall. I'm not sure if it's helping because I just started it and I'm not back in school so I don't have anything to really try it out on.

I have the motherboard listed above and and would like to get #1-:A modular Power Supply. Just not sure on the wattage and the brand. The CPU is AMD A8-3850 APU with AMD Radeon 6550 HD Graphics 2.9GHz Socket FM1 100W Quad-Core. So I need to be able to support that and will be adding a 2-3 more small fans. I downgraded my motherboard to a BIOSTAR G41 -http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813138154- and it comes with onboard video. I was wondering if it causes problems because I did nothing but just plug in the card and play. It seems like my performance is lowered a little bit during games. Could the motherboard affect performance?

Hi there, I am 20 years old, sexually active & I haven't had my period in about 5-6 months. Since I was 12, it has been regular (about every 5 weeks) & I have taken many at home pregnancy tests within the last few months, all of which are negative. My BMI is average, I weigh 120 pounds and my height is about 5'6, and has been for the last couple years so it is not related to my weight. The first month I missed it was the first month that I moved to the city (I'm from a small town) to go to university. I figured maybe it was due to stress, though I didn't seem too stressed other than finding a job. Within the last few months, I haven't been stressed at all, I don't take any medication, I exercise daily & I quit drinking & drugs. I have a relatively normal vegetarian diet (with a few candy binges in there) and I haven't felt any other health factors other than being extremely tired no matter how much sleep I get. My job is not that exhausting that I need to sleep 12 hours a night & I haven't started school yet so I'm not too busy with life. Really, I am stumped as to what would be causing my missed period & I don't have a doctor here in the city yet so I come to you guys for help! :) Any ideas as to what might be the cause?

Lampard - Getting 20 goals a season for the past few seasons... from midfield (Yet, he does fvck all for England) Gerrard - He's proved he's possible for doing frankly impossible things... (Yet, he never does his "Captain Fantastic" act for England... he'll go down as one of England's most talented but poorly used players. He's never been a proper midfielder. One of Rafa's great contributions at Liverpool was utilising him properly just behind the striker... look at 08/09. He was just behind Torres and banging in goals for fun... He's not like Xavi, Zidane, Fabregas, Scholes e.t.c... he doesn't dictate the game from the centre circle. Hence why whenever he's in the "dictator of the game" position... he's merely a bog-standard defensive midfielder. Puts in a good few tackles... but no real deep playmaking (Like Alonso)... hence the desperate "Hollywood passes"... and people who say he should be captain for England... aye, a player who is "injured" for a lot friendlies (Before you say "They're just friendlies"... he's the captain. Seems to be on the decline now but he was one hell of a left back John Terry - A lion in defence. Typifies what English people want in a centreback. Strong, fearless. Puts his head where boots are flying (Yet, he hasn't exactly been outstanding for England either) With THAT group of players... is it REALLY unreasonable to expect a reasonable perfomance in WCs/Euros...? so i have a mix breed we think he is a cheasapeak x pitbull but thats not a gaurntee. he gets our for walks pretty much everyday and usually the walks are at the off leash dog park he fetchs and swims lots usually our walks are about 2 hours long sometimes he needs 2 a day. but even when we get home he is still ridiculously hyper and almost axious he is very destructive he is a little over a year (we think) he has the shortest attention span often if you throw a stick in the water he will be swimming for it then verr off somewhere else in the water for a few minutes then go back to the stick or playing with other dogs he sometimes loses focus and looks almost lost then after a few minutes starts playing again. is it possible he has add? he runs around the house whyning all day non-stop even right after a walk

my dog had 2 puppies 5 weeks ago, 1 boy, 1 girl and has been brilliant with them but the last couple of days has started to attack the female one for no reason, the pup isnt crying or making any noise but seams to shake like mad when her mother goes for her. they have started to eat solids in the last week or so could this have anything to do with it? sorry if that sounds stupid but i cant think what else it could be , please help

The story is about a girl that goes into another world. She switches places with someone in the other world as they look alike. Everything in the other world is magic. She thinks it's another one of her dreams as she has had the 'dream' many times before, but the 'dream' becomes her reality. The girl that has the dream is from the other world but doesn't know until the end that is why she has the powers and the other girl doesn't. Her parents are very powerful so she will grow up powerful too, someone threatened to kill her and so she was switched with her double from the other world in order to protect her. Later, when the threat was thought to be gone, her double went and retrieved her from the 'real' world. She had been dreaming of her real home because her parents were sending her some memories of her double so she would feel like she knew the place, and them, when she came home. On her journey to get home, she could run into the person who threatened to kill her when she was a baby. At some point she learns she needs her double to pass through where the two worlds met as she can't do it herself because that magic was taken from her when she was young so she wouldn't wander into her world and be found by the person threatening her. They both have to go on a quest to go back home and they communicate with a object, I don't know what to call it, it's small, round and opens up. The only thing is I want both girls talking in the story. What I mean is for example the girl with the powers could be telling the story could be tell the story and the girl with no powers could be tell the story. But just at different times so you get both views of the girls What do you think and Thank you for your answers. =}

[ Singles & Dating ] Open Question : Why does he keep in contact with his ex?

I'm thinking that I am not important to him anymore. Yes, he is with me...but he is still in contact with his ex whom he broke up with 5 months ago. Him and I met on a dating site and he has hidden his profile, but not deleted it. We have been dating 3 months, but he still texts her (he doesnt know that I know) and keeps in touch on facebook (some messages are on his wall, others are sent to her personally). He tells me that they are still good friends and that they are still on the same sports team and they commute together and theres nothing there..but why does he still text her and (apparently) have fun times with her while they are doing their sporting and apres sport (drinks!) activities? Me an him do lots of stuff together and have lots in common and have fun, but why is it necessary that he is still so close to her??? I think she still has a thing for him too and is not over the breakup....! I believe that they broke up because she is separated and not divorced...and he's thinking theres a messy divorce in the future! But he won't let go completely? And I am confused.

The top players on the XBLA Castle Crashers Leaderboards all have -1xp with characters ranging from lvl 34, to 99, some are even just at level 1, or over 99. At first I was thinking, well if they have -1 xp they must have cheated, but now I'm not sure. Will xp reset to -1 after you pass 999999?
