theres this guy i work with, he has a gf for awhile now, and i have a serious bf for 7 yrs now. however i find him to be attractive. he talks to me everyday when he sees me, asks how my day is, or how my weekend was. he asked how my day was and i was not so good, about 20 min later he walked passed and said hes trying to figure out why i was having a bad day, which i thought was odd. then he mentioned this book to me and asked if i ever heard of it. so the next day he makes it a point to bring this book in, i dont know what to think it seems like he asks me things just to ask me. i dont know what to do or what to think. could this just be an attraction between both of us and nothing more? i need some input pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Ok when im playing call of duty black ops i move the right and then aim or something or stand there and it starts to move me slowly somewhere else but when i move to the left it starts stuttering a little bit. Does anybody know how to fix this because this is my 2nd controller and im saving up for a xbox 360 slim and i dont want to waste 50$ because of this.

Need your opinion on this...why did he say this to me? Why did he respond this way? I told him I was seeing someone else? So I have this long distance fwb (friends with benefits), we're not committed and agreed to tell each other if we were going to date or have sex with other people. I see him about 4 times a year, for long weekends of about 4-5 days each. Anyway, I started to hang out with another guy and I decided to tell my fwb as per our agreement, and his response was "When were you ever planning on telling me this?" Just a quick question. I've never read the book before and i am just doing so, i've noticed that some of the sentences at the end of the chapters don't finish. I'm unsure if this is in fact meant to be this way or if something has happened during printing. e.g. Page 147 "F**ck yourself you retarded c**ksucking kike" and i run out of the delicatessen and onto the street where there this (and then it stops and leads into the chapter 'Yale Club') Please, help. Is it legal for a police officer to PURPOSELY use the traffic preemption system to trick the traffic light, disrupting traffic? I got caught at a red light, it turned green, and maybe 1,000 feet ahead, as SOON as i approached the next traffic light, it turned red, skipping the timer and everything, with no awaiting traffic at the cross section. I looked over to notice a cop sitting in a parking lot at the corner of the intersection. I live in Florida. The road has the newest traffic systems installed in this area. I got the feeling that the cop was purposely tricking the light to see who would run it, and ticket them for it. As far as i know, police squad cars, and other emergency vehicles are now equipped with Mobile InfraRed Transmitters, enabling them to change the signals in an emergency situation Isnt using this system to purposely disrupt the flow of traffic illegal?

My parents have been divorced since I was around 5 years old. As far as I know, my father became verbally abusive towards my mother, perhaps hit her. Classic abusive cycle of treat you like shit then oh I'm sorry then treat you like shit again. When I was younger I remember my father smacking me and choking me. I remember him doing the same cycle of being an asshole than acting like he can just apologize for it. I stay away from him as much as I can, but I get cases of bad luck and end up falling back on my father as a last resort. Now that I am old enough to defend myself, the arguments get bad. A few years ago he said I could live with him for free. I didn't want to, but he kept harassing me and my rent was being raised so I moved in with him. Of course he turned around and wanted me to pay all this stuff. After a year one of our arguments got so heated I ended up calling the police after he hit me, almost broke my arm, tried to throw me down the stairs and choked me leaving nail gashes around my neck. I had to hit him in the head with a phone just to get him off me. Because my family would take his side over mine, I did not press charges. I moved out that night because I luckily had a place to go with a friend who had a truck. I did not speak to my father for a year. After my friend got engaged I moved in with someone through Craig's List, had a falling out with her and my boyfriend of the time offered for me to live with him. I hadn't known him long, but didn't have options. That blew up big drama a couple months later and my dad offered for me to live at his place again. It was agreed that I would pay the Xcel bill as rent. My things that got left from the last time I lived here were broken and tossed in a pile in the closet. I ended up dating a new guy a couple months later and about six months after that he was having some trouble of his own so I asked my dad if it was okay for my boyfriend's daughter to stay here. (My boyfriend was in between jobs and having trouble getting people to watch her so he could work.) I live in the basement which is finished, two bedrooms and a bathroom. I was already using the second room for storage so having the kid here wasn't any extra inconvenience. My boyfriend is on an oil rig so he is only here five to seven days every other week. He essentially lives with me also though he barely has anything here and as I said is only here about ten days out of the month. My boyfriend got custody of his son in January so now both children stay in the spare room. My father never asked for anything extra for them staying here. They don't cause any trouble and just take up the room I was using anyway. My father continues to be the same old asshole, even saying things in front of the children including cursing, slander and other put downs. He is completely inappropriate, throwing fits like a child, throwing things, blasting the TV, etc. In the past year he has also hit me and pushed me down the stairs on a few occasions as well as breaking things. He is also abusive towards my pets and his own. Of course I would move if I had the means so obviously I do not. I don't have a car and had to quit my job twice because of the drama with my father. My boyfriend pays all my bills including the Xcel/rent, as well as groceries and anything else I need in exchange for me watching the kids. The rest of his money goes towards his own bills including a lawyer for his custody battle. His custody of the kids is strongly based on keeping his daughter in the same school because she has an IEP. Even if we found another place in the neighborhood, we cannot afford (in many ways) to move until custody is permanently decided. Now that the background is out of the way, here's my question: Could my father really call the police on me, file charges, or evict me/us? I pay the agreed "rent" and he is abusive, plus there are two children living with me. It doesn't seem fair, but the law isn't always fair.

Is the reason the first book is just about cards, while the second focuses on an actual game, because children weren't allowed to play card games? iv been on atkins for nearly 3 weeks and i cheated once with a slice of cheesecake at a wedding, i eat around 20 grams of carbs a day or under, but sometimes i would have a square of galaxy or 2 and i eat meat and everything and everything falls under 20 grams, is this okay? i dont weight myself, i dont want to as i get carried away and wud weight myself all the time, and i also drink a lot of diet pepsi, is this all okay? am i doing okay on atkins :) and how will i move up to 25 grams i wont notice any difference

I mean the law is just letting random people breed dogs. This is why we have SO MANY dogs in cages all day. I would want breeding to stop completely until all the dogs in the world were rescued but of course that won't happen. Pit bulls are the main victims of this. So many Pit bulls are just bred to fight. I think if the law would do something much more dogs wouldn't have to go though living in pain and people who bred pit bulls to fight would get in even bigger trouble.

I have Trichotillomania, which, for those who don't know, is uncontrollable hair twisting/pulling that often results in hair thinning/bald patches. I know someone's going to say 'why would you want to yank out your hair?' It's sort of like the feeling you get when you have to scratch your arm and the only way to get rid of it is to scratch. You get a tingly sensation, just like when your arm itches, but you have to run your fingers through your hair/pull at it to make it go away... except that it doesn't go away for too long. It keeps coming back. It's so embarrassing. It gets worse with stress, so in school, I'm constantly playing with my hair (I MEAN CONSTANTLY) and a few hairs come off on my desk. People have asked me why I play with my hair so much, and I tell them, "I don't know" because I don't want them to think I'm crazy for having this form of OCD. It just bothers me when people say they have OCD because they "need to have things organized" and then they (and their friends) treat it as a joke. I can see they don't have it because it does NOT take over their life and they seem happy about it because it makes them feel "special". It makes me want to cry. I've never seen someone about this because it seems really embarrassing and ridiculous to see someone and say, "What's wrong with me? I play with my hair constantly and I rip the hairs out of my head..." It sounds so STUPID and it's not a very known disorder, so they'll probably laugh at me. Right now, I only have hair thinning, so I can hide it somewhat easily, so I'm trying to see if I can get rid of it on my own. What are some ways to keep my hands busy? I noticed it's easier to control my hair pulling when my hands are busy (such as eating... or typing...) It needs to be something to do with BOTH hands that I can do during school or something. Help? :(

[ Software ] Open Question : Windows Movie Maker Error?

I am making a movie series using the Sims 3 and uploading the files onto Windows Movie Maker. I got the first episode all finished, with no problems at all. Then I uploaded the files from the second episode, and once I was almost finished, an error triangle appeared in the middle of a file. The error code is 0x80070057 if that helps. Even worse, once I click on the "broken" file, suddenly others appear the same way. I tried playing them using Windows Media Player and it seemed to work fine, it was just Movie Maker that couldn't read them. Pretty soon, a whole bunch of the files that were fine before appeared to be broken. I also tried searching on the internet what may fix this, but all of the answers were confusing. Does anyone know of a solution I could use? I just installed Windows Movie Maker a couple of days ago, and like I said, the first episode I saved was just fine. I even tried re-uploading ALL of the files again to Movie Maker, but the same thing happened.
