[ Software ] Open Question : Microsoft Word won't open after forced shut down?

I was running some windows updates on my computer and it needed to restart while I was doing some work on Microsoft Word. It forced the shut down, and now my files won't open and I can't even get Word to open at all. It keep notifying me something like "the command cannot be performed". Please help me I need to turn in my homework soon :(

In Facebook there is a page called "Ask a Catholic Priest". Some of the recent questions are: is gambling a sin? The priest answered that it is not a sin because many people gamble and do not have a problem with addiction. My reply was that priests who gamble are setting a bad example of misusing monetary gifts from God by using them foolishly, and are setting a bad example for those who do indeed have gambling problems, which often leads to failed marriages, financial bankrupcy, sometime even suicide. Another recent question was if a husband has HIV, should he use a condom to protect his wife from also getting HIV. The priest answered that contraceptives should NEVER be used, so abstinence should be agreed on (evidently priests assume that someone who has gone out and gotten HIV also have enough character to accept a refusal from their wives to have sex, lol) And finally another recent question pertained to nuns not being allowed to participate in Mass (which I was completely unaware was the case...shocking). The priest replied that the Pope is reviewing this and there may be changes within the church regarding this issue. I have never seen such a complex, ever changing denomination in my life. The more I learn about the Catholic church, the more I see how pitifully misguided the parishoners are. I truly feel badly for them.

so theres this cute guy at my school. i do have a crush on him. i think he likes me but im not sure and none of my friends dont know either. heres the details: -2 weeks ago i was walking behind him and him and his friend were smiling and looking at me -then last monday he did the same thing with another friend, and while he was talking to his friends he was having some looks at me -last wednesday when i got to school i walked passed him and i didnt know it was him, my friend punched me and said,DUDE HE LIKES YOU!He was staring right at you!!! -today he wouldnt stop looking at me at lunch! When I see him looking at me he turns his head to his friends. He looks at me while I'm passing by him, even if I'm not looking my friends tell me he does! - sometimes at lunch if im sitting somewhere where im far away from him and when hes walking with his friends he looks back at least 3-4 times so maily the point is, is that if i near him at anywhere anytime, he will stare at me. so please help does he have a crush on me? im very sorry if this is long, btw can u tell me how i can start a convo with him or make him talk to me? thank you! :]

Today was my first day at high school with the people from a school I got kicked out of in 6th grade. I only had 5 friends and I thought the other people who hated me would give me second chance. They didn't n I got bullied all day. The grade 9s and 10s also hate me. So out of around 300 people 5 aren't mean to me. tommorow is my first full day and I really dont wanna go I told my parents they said just go one week. to top that of my friends aren't in my classes besides 2 of then for one class. I really dont wanna go back please help :'(

I have an interview for an internship coming up this week. It's my first time interviewing for a position in an office, so it's also going to be my first interview where I have to be a little more formal. One of my friends told me that heels make a better impression, is that true? I have only two pairs of black heels, one oxford/lace up style and one pair of basic pumps. Since both of them hurt my feet and I'm not driving there, though, I would really rather wear my flats...they're good quality, black leather, with a very tiny "heel," like not even a centimeter. Do you think I could get away with wearing my flats, or should I just suck it up and wear one of my pairs of heels? I know I could just change into the heels when I get there, but my bag won't be big enough to store them and I don't want to bring an extra shopping bag or something to carry them in. I'm going to be wearing a gray pencil skirt and a simple but pretty black top, if that matters. It's not the sort of thing where I have to be extremely dressy, but I do have to look presentable.

My account has been getting terminated by a pro hacker or whatever. I'll give you the dialogue she just recently closed her account she claims she has a bot and goes around taking down accounts for impersonation for money and that she's in an anonymous group that took down Sony. She has had over 5 IP bans for over 3 years. Here's some of the conversation. joanare (1 hour ago) Spam as according to the comment you previously posted, you wanted me to give her my scarlet channel, which means it hurt your feelings how i stole her page, guess what i will be getting a bot again to start taking channels, the same bot i used to get a june 2005 account , so even people getting older accounts wont be able to hide from me joanare (1 hour ago) Spam Of course there are other games, and if i wanted i could get your ip by simply paying someone money who could do it, everyone can do it, all it cost is money joanare (1 hour ago) Spam there are professional hackers who could do it, trust me. I have contact , i have a whole secret youtube channel only a friend of mine knows about, not even neo knows joanare (52 minutes ago) Spam Same thing backfires on you, it's easy for this group to trace anyone here. All they need is money, now i am filled with money now that i sell old accounts, and get paid for suspending channels. There's more, I can give in additional details, any advice and tips of how I get rid of her taking my accounts?

I noticed there was a huge uproar over fake MAC on ebay which is obvious for some sellers selling only "MAC" products in the thousands every month. I've recently noticed this with estee lauder. With one of the pallets I considered buying, I could only find it for sale on ebay and amazon with a "wholesale" amount of 12 being sold on ioffer. Is ioffer a place to buy branded chinese replicas? They have mounds of branded makeup, electronics and all, some sellers selling up to 25 piece lots of the same item?? Are these products coming from the legit factories in China or are they counterfeit? How can you tell?

Based on stats and accomplishments alone, one may say he's a really good player but not the best. However, I'm here to make the argument that he's the most coveted or valuable player in the league in that he's a power-hitting, gold-glove winning Shortstop. Other than Alex Rodriguez, you haven't seen many SS in the history of the game who could hit for 30+ HR, drive in 100+ runs, hit for a high average, play gold-glove defense consistently, and provide leadership in the clubhouse. Tulowitzki can. Also, the fact that he's 26 years old makes him that much more valuable, as he has almost a decade of good baseball left in him.

i got a laptop and a desktop. my laptop will download at 1.6 MB/s and upload around 500Kb/s but on my desktop it only download abouts 200Kb/s but still has a strong upload. anybody know what my problem might be?

Alright so i downloaded A free trial of Zone alarm firewall protection, and i got to admit, It really works! i Haven't been hacked ever since then! But When i check my inbound firewall, it says 120 access attempts blocked, So what im asking is, did someone really try to hack me 120 times?!?!? Just Been wondering for the longest. Thanks! :D
