[ Singles & Dating ] Open Question : I'm 19 and I've never been in a relationship despite asking out several girls I've liked, any advice?

I'm 19 and I have never been in a relationship. Late Last year there was a girl from work I liked a lot. She is attractive, athletic and certainly 'up there' in terms of looks and personality in my opinion. I asked for her number in February and then a couple of weeks later asked her out and she initially said 'yes' but she never committed to a date, I asked her out to a coffee a few weeks later and two times she said 'she'd get back to me' but she never did so I had to give up on her. Now, I thought she had at least some interest in me that is why I was really confident in trying but I got sent back to reality :(. I feel like **** and I honestly believe the only reason I didn't get the girl from work is because I'm not good looking enough for her and if it was my exact personality into a guy she would find attractive, she'd go out with that guy straight away. The type of girls I fall for are probably ones who wouldn't go out with me. But even if she is attracted to personalities and confidence over looks, it just shows I suck at this and my first attempt to go on a date with someone I liked a LOT instead of trying with random girls just to get experience, i ****** up again. Last year there was another attractive girl who gave me her number but it happened around this time so I decided to go for the girl at work instead of her, stupid choice :( I tried to ask her out in April but I could only contact via text and I didn't get a response back twice. I just wanted coffee and when I saw her, I was going to ask her out properly but I couldn't do that :( I've joined the gym for a number of reasons, this isn't really a major one. I always wanted to get fitter but atm I'm 5'11 180lbs, I'm not overweight and I have a big frame naturally because I'm around 155lbs lean weight. Long Term I want to be around 183lbs at around 8-10% body fat, currently im around 15% body fat which is average so it'll take a while but I think it's helping take my mind off this because it's something to concentrate heavily on. But yeah it's for me, not to impress any girls by the way Are there any positives to take from this? Have I shown any strides? I don't want to get into a relationship for the sake of it obviously but I don't want to keep coming up on the losing end with girls I like. Now I know people are going to go you have a lack of confidence which is true NOW but at the start of the year I had a lot of confidence but after I failed with these two girls it all went away and now I'm doubting myself heavily physically and constantly reminding myself about the stupid choices I made along the way. I can't help it

property owner on nantucket has 3 lots that he intends to put 3 houses on that have been saved from wrecking ball in other locations. the homes while not in horrible shape will be rented by this guy who is slumlord of highest order. he has done this around a particular section of the island in which he owns lots of property. he inherited land years ago when it couldn't be given away. we are working class people but take care of our homes and it is mostly a fine street except for the 3 rundown shacks he dropped at the end of street. any way to fight this?

I really like a girl and I'm afraid to act like myself, because in school i just act cool around my friends and when the girl i like speaks to me I just give a gay answer to her so my friends won't make fun of me, but when I speak to all my other girls who are friends i act like myself because my friends arn't around, like I say ' aw well you can tell me', or 'i'm here for you', mostly 'You look beautiful' but if I say it in school all my friends will make fun of me, spread it around and everyone will make fun of me. I have a htc evo 4g and I'm trying to delete a contact from my phone. The number is not linked through Google, but though Facebook, meaning its not in my phone's contact list - scroll through all the names, and it doesn't show. If I do a search for the name in my contacts, then it DOES show up, but no matter what I do there is no available option to change anything on a linked Fb contact. Even if I click on menu at the bottom of the "All" contacts where it actually says "delete", it's suddenly not there anymore! Arghhh! I don't want to have to delete him as a Fb friend completely just to get it off my phone's phonebook! I tried clicking on the link symbol in hopes of unlinking it, but no such luck. HELP TALK ABOUT BEING FRUSTRATED! It shouldn't be this difficult!

I really like the "What If?" Speech by Ron Paul. He warned Congress about the housing bubble 5 years before it happened and he has been warning about the problems with our monetary system since he joined Congress in the 1970's. My daughter will be a month old tomorrow and really is doing quite well for her nights. Just wondering, however, if this is a typical sleep pattern for a newborn: Every night, she's down around 8 or 9pm, last night slept til 3 am, then 6am then up at 9am. She sleeps a long stretch to start out the night, then gets up every three hours. She eats plenty around 3am as my breasts have been resting for 6 hours, but wakes more often from then on anyway. Not complaining - I think she's doing ok. How do your little ones sleep?

Hi there. I am studying Physics, and I was always interested in high-tech and especially nanotechnology. But I also wanted to help people through my science! My original target was Electrical Engineering, but I got into Physics because of the broader field; I'm still planning on getting a degree in EE after Physics, though. My faculty offers a Nanosciences-Nanotechnology post-graduate degree, in which I'm interested (I started taking Chemistry optional subjects, and maybe I'll choose some biological subjects too). I know this is a rather early stage to ask, but do you think my degree -as a general direction, I know that fields so advanced need PhDs to start doing research and development - gives me hopes on making it in Cybernetics? By the way, to avoid any misunderstanding, by Cybernetics I mean the field that deals with high-tech prosthetic limbs or other artificial body parts, which are brain controlled. I'm talking electromechanical here, not creating new organs via genetics! Thanks a lot!

I like to cut my own hair because I hate everyone whom has ever cut it and I wanna kill em. I like to have a part that is only like 4 or 3" away from the tip of my ear so I have pretty deep side-swept bangs. Everyone always tries to move the part etc. and it irritates me my friends, boys, people in stores and just pretty much everyone likes my hair the way it is. I have to trim my bangs with a razor and I like to keep them long so I can flip them back (they aren't in my eye, they curve they are just longer than most) I also razor some layers so my hair stays a little bit thinner and I dye my hair Root Beer Float Brunette so I have to cut it and razor it a little or else I will have random blonde pieces because I only die it every 6 weeks or so. So, people ask me where I go to get my hair done- I tell them I cut it myself. They say, "You are 15, you do not cut your hair yourself." or they just give me a look like I am weird. Really? I am cutting my hair the way I like it and I don't have to get mad when other people don't do it right and I am saving money. Why do people think it is so weird? I only straighten like three parts that bend up, there is no one with 100% stick straight hair, and trust me, I have extremely straight hair. Ever since the sixth grade it has been, "No way your hair is straight." .. really? and my hair is 5" past the shoulder it is just tossed back in that pic. and I had been flipping my bangs back all night which is why they look wavey haha.

its not butterflies, ive never felt this before, it feels nice, i also get an exciting feeling sometimes as well, its not every time i think of him but most times, sometimes its quite intense other times its a subtle feeling, and sometimes it only hovers in my chest or just my stomach, and other times it starts in my stomach then goes up to my chest. my gut is telling me he is thinking about me and thats why im getting the sensations, should i trust my intuition? its also very hard to get him out of my head.

Well, I live in a trailer park and we have [aep box] ------ [box outside trailer] ------ [circuit breakers inside trailer] ------- [receptacles in house]; My problem seems to be increasingly getting worse over time but anytime there's load on the wiring, like something even as small as the dryer running now, the switch on the outside of the trailer gets tripped, bypassing complete the breakers on the inside of the house. I was told it's NEVER supposed to do that. When I go to flip the breaker back over outside, the whole box stinks like burning rubber! Someone please help!

I have a 5yr old and a 4yr old so I was thinking of getting them one of these new android tablet things. I am about to purchase a whole TV-Sound system. I was wondering if I got a Home Theater system connected to a HD-TV using HDMI, and I also got a HD Satellite Receiver also connected to the TV through HDMI, do I get the sounds of the receiver on the speakers of the Home Theater system? If not, what is the best was to do so, knowing that there's only 1 HDMI Output port in the home theater system, and 4 HDMI Input ports in the TV. And also knowing that the "Component-Video" port will be taken by xBox. Please help?

For example, if someones muscle mass was twice that of another person, would they require near double the calories of that person? My girlfriend has very little strength (she can barely do 2 pushups using her knees), plus overall leg strength etc is the same, and yet we eat the same and she has put on 10 kilos of noticeable fat in the last year whereas my weight has decreased (she now weighs 10 kilos more than me). We have the same daily levels of exercise. I can do a lot more pushups.....more like 60 using the feet, not knees, my muscle mass is definitely much more. Obviously her metabolism is a lot lower, and im wondering if this is the reason. If so then i can change her exercise plan to include more light weight training.

It is about a great war that is approaching the world after the shadow king Shorbask broke out of his imprisonment to the realm of Crainth, a dark lifeless void. he was imprisoned there 1000 years before the actual story begins by the the four hero's of the last age. The main charecter is a man named Brentros who swore to destroy Shorbask after his armies caught and executed most of the people in the city including his family and friends when it was attacked. So he teaches himself to become a skilled with a sword and bow. So goes and tries to get allies to defeat the armies of the shadow king and save the world. My story will also have romance and lots of fights and action but ive not thought enough of what i will make them like yet.
