I've got quite thick wavy brunette hair about 4 inches past my shoulders. I'm 21 years old, 5'6", I have a small heart shaped face, prominent cheekbones and full lips. I've recently finished with a guy who has for the last 2 years stopped me from cutting my hair short, and i now want to do it, and by short I mean short as in cropped! I know i'm fortunate to be considered pretty, and I'm confident short hair will really show off my best features, I'm just struggling to find a really short, really cute haircut. hi ok i am 14 years old and i have just started my gcse's in college ( i live in england) i have always been shy and quiet my whole life i guess i got that from home i was not allowed to be loud and had a few family troubles ..... anyway at school im always ignored and people always give me strange looks and giggle i would not say im fat ( size 10 just under) or ugly just...quiet even today we had a science Assembly to welcome us to our science gcse ....and i know no one in my new group well i do know every one as im shy im really observant of thing around me and i tend to remember people even the ones i don't know and sit by my self on a long table :( and i feall like an outcast and my new class are all friends plus there very loud, outgoing and stay away from me :( i want to change but at my school its quite hard to change i really hate being an outcast i wanna change be more confident but i dont know how.....and i think the teachers always try and get me to talk but when i do i always mess it up and i feal stupid and one of my old teacher ( she left now) always picked on me and always talked how quiet i am and i got braces well a retainer brace and she always went on and on about it to the whole class which put my confident level realy lower i dont know what to do ive so up seat since school started and i want to change put my sisster and friends always went over the top when i changed something bout my self like the different stuff i woer or how i done my hair and they go so over the top not in a good way they alway say im not the real me and laugh i think they think there just messing but its different to me and it hurts and that too get me sad :( ans i keep saying i wanna change and get more confident but i dont know how and i dont think i can

I recently acquired a 1979 thunderbird from an old man. 59,000 miles and great shape. But if I press the gas to fast from a stand still it dies, but once I am going I am fine. Is this an easy fix? it it just like how low it idles?

I took my 3 yr old son to the doctor today for a wellness exam. All was well, but the doctor asked if I wanted him to refer my son to a speech therapist. The doctor hadn't even asked me any questions about my son's speech. I told hm if he thought it necessary I would certainly do it. The doctor said that if there were any speech delays/problems it could really set him back in school/learning. I guess he told me this because he thought I was resistant to taking my son, which I am not. I was surprised that he mentioned a speech therapist without me asking to be referred, which I was thinking about `because I don't think my son articulates well at all. Anywho.... What can I expect at the first visit with a speech therapist? What kinds of activities do they do to help a child speak better?

I would love not to see any negative or degrading answers. This is something I'm already highly embarrassed of, because I shower or bathe at least once a day. I'm white, and rather pale, but I am overweight, and I've read that could be a contributing factor. I've got darker skin around my groin, on my underarms, and around my neck. I don't think it is that bad around my neck, but I feel highly sensitive about my other areas. I've got dark ankles, knees, and elbows too. I honestly think those could be fixed with some lotion and daily scrubbing, but I'm just not sure what to do anymore. I try to be comfortable with my body, and I think I could be if I could get ride of the dark areas. They're ruining my confidence. I'm comfortable with my weight, but if I have to lose weight to help fix this problem, I will. I want to hear from people who have had this problem in the past, or who currently do. I'm not sure what to do to fix it, or reverse it. I use Secret deodorant, and I've bought a pumice stone, but I feel like it's not working. Any other advice or home remedies? Thank you SO much.

Social Security Trust Fund was created in a way as a savings fund for retirement. American workers and others have been led to believe that the money withheld from their paychecks in FICA taxes and matched by their employers is placed in a special "Trust" fund, earning and compounding interest until they reach retirement age, at which time it is paid back to them in monthly installments. CURRENTLY every penny that makes it to the "Trust" fund is paid out to another recipient currently on SS. A definition of a Ponzi scheme in simple terms is that early investors get paid by the funds of later investors and not with interest.... How is that any different then SS right now. Currently our SS is overwhelmed as it is and that is not even with all the baby boomers that are expected to retire within the next decade. As much as everyone wants to lie to themselves, we all know that at the current SS system is not going to be available to many of us at retirement age (for me that's 43 years from now). Why shouldn't I be upset about where my SS "trust" fund is going... and why is everyone making such a controversy over him calling it a Ponzi scheme...? is it because they get offended?? lets me realistic here people... the man said it how it is.... sure he could have used nicer words but his point wouldn't have come across as strong

I did my second breath test for h.pylori after doing another round of antibiotics, and it came back negative. I am still having the symptoms that I've always felt. Any chance breath test could be wrong? I did stop taking my PPI 2 weeks before test so for sure that didnt interfere with results. I did eat that day and I'm pretty sure it was more than 4 hours before the test..

My 29 year old bf asked me to go to the fair last sunday(I'm 26 btw) - so we went and he was totally grumpy the whole time, i asked him why and he said that he didn't like the fair (so i was confused as to why he asked me to go) and he just said for me. So anyways he lightened up near the end of the night, we had a good time and he apologized later for being in like the Grinch. Before he left that night he asked if i wanted to go to a movie this week. The next morning he texted me asking if i wanted to go on wed and we made plans but that is all we talked that day. On wed he was just totally short with me for no reason and blew off our plans cuz he just wanted to chill because he was having a long day at work.... I didn't hear from him for the rest of the day or night. This just seems totally out of character for him - normally he is totally sweet to me and wants to hang out/chat all the time. I am having a hard time not taking it personally... He does have stuff going on in his life such as: -Car needs muffler and some other tuff fixed to pass air care = expensive -His mom is getting married next week (which he said bothers him) -He is planing on moving soon (not happy currently living in his sisters basement suite) -Has been working over time a lot (but is on salary) Could it be all this stuff getting to him - cuz he never talks about it... I want to ask him if i have done something to upset him or ask him what is wrong but i just sense that he needs his space and like i shouldn't say anything. What should I do/ What's wrong? :(

There is a song that I remember from a while ago but I cannot remember what is it. I think its from a solo artist and not a band. I think it is from the 90's. It is not rock or heavy metal. It is not rap or hip hop It is not country It is more like a calm, soothing song. Kind of soft spoken. Here is a description of the music video: The music video does not have bright colors anywhere but rather dull looking. It may be in black and white or Sepia. I think there is only one guy in the whole music video. It takes place on like a long dirt road on flat ground like in the middle of a field. if you've haven't read it The Aged Pilot Man by Mark Twain On the Erie Canal, it was, All on a summer's day, I sailed forth with my parents Far away to Albany. From out the clouds at noon that day There came a dreadful storm, That piled the billows high about, And filled us with alarm. A man came rushing from a house, Saying, "Snub up your boat I pray, Snub up your boat, snub up, alas, Snub up while yet you may." Our captain cast one glance astern, Then forward glanced he, And said, "My wife and little ones I never more shall see." Said Dollinger the pilot man, In noble words, but few,-- "Fear not, but lean on Dollinger, And he will fetch you through." [ Religion & Spirituality ] Open Question : Why doesn't God condem slavery in the Bible?

The Bible contains several references to slavery, but no where explicitly condemns it, but allows a regulated practice, especially in the old testament, but in the new testament as well. Why? Surely no Christian or Jew can argue that slavery should be condoned? The regulation of slavery in the Bible, and absence of outright condemnation of it as an institution, was even used to justify slavery in the past. Abolitionists have also used text from the New Testament to argue for the manumission of slaves, but why the ambiguity? Why not out right condem slavery? Personally I would have made it one of the 10 (or 11) commandments.
