Hey! I'm studying for a math test and in my notebook I have my problem written down but I never got the answer and I can't figure out this problem for the life of me!!! :) Here's the problem: Write a slope-intercept equation for a line passing through the given point that is parallel to the given line. Then write a second equation for a line passing through the given point that is perpendicular to the given line. (4,-2); 5x+8y=7 Any help at all is appreciated!!!! Thanks!

So i made plans with this guy i like to get together and talk about his job (which is where i will be working soon too). Technically then, this could be considered work related. We met up for lunch at Fridays yesterday. I found out while talking to him, that he has a gf! Why would he hang out with me alone if he had a gf? So anyway I asked if they were serious. He said they have been going out for almost 4 years (he is 23) but he doesnt know if they are serious. He said people are trying to pressure them to get married and he thinks he is too young. Also, he said he didnt know if he wanted to marry her at all. He said he felt bad, but it was the truth. What should i do? Just be friends with him and be there for them if they break up? I would never come between two people. i find it weird though that he hung out with me alone at all

Yes i have had sex with my bf a few weeks ago (3 weeks ago to be exact) and its now 6 days after my original scheduled period (28 days) and im getting a bit worried because this is the first time its come this late. Weird thing is im not showing any signs of being preg such as morning sickness, darker brests, being really tired, unusual food cravings, frequent urination, spotting, mood swings or headachs. My mother and best friend says it could be late because im stressed about being preg. I will buy a pregnancy test or go to a doctor if need be but im wondering if anyone else can tell me whats wrong?

He then drove me home, and in the elevator he put his arm against my throat and told me that I need to learn how to respect him...I apologized, but he didn't listen and just left. So, last year, we had a class together, and he totally flirted with me. Then, he and his friends started eating lunch with my friend and I. It made us a little uncomfortable, but we still kind of liked it. After a while, they stopped. After that, we had another class together, but a popular girl was in it. He "flirted" with her and ignored me, even though he claimed they were just friends. He texted me over the summer, even though I never gave him my number. This year, he and his friends started eating behind us and throwing food at us. But I noticed at break that he was always hanging around the popular girls, and they were flirting. So I tried to moved on to a cuter, competitive popular guy who is in my P.E. class. I texted the other boy, asking if the one from P.E. had a cellphone. He said he did, and I asked him for his phone number. He never texted back, and the next day he totally turned up the flirting again! I know I like him, but I always get really stupid and smiley when he talks to me. What the heck do you think is going on?! i have a really NICE pair of creepers ( http://img.rivithead.com/products/small/Creeper-400-S-C.jpg ) that were really expensive, but the european sizing was confusing and when i tried them on they ended up being a half size too big. i've heard insoles will work, but is there anything else? i considered washing them to maybe make the fabric shrink but then i thought "gee, that sounds really retarded". need help. thanks!

I've been having a lot of white jelly like discharge instead of my period for the past couple weeks. I was meant to have my period last week, but still haven't and have no signs of it. I am sexually active and we have had sex without condoms but not all the way, only for a bit then put one on to finish so it doesn't go in me unprotected. Anyway, I've not other signs of pregnancy, except peeing a lot, like I never used to get up in the middle of the night to do it, but recently I have been. But also, I've just came off the pill as it was making my vagina dry and sore during sex. So what could this be?

I feel so bad but the game autosaved and I don't know how to go back (I play on ps3) but does it really matter that much? a real wheelchair actor? I mean its like they're saying a dude who isnt in a wheelchair can play someone whos really in a wheelchair. And plus a lot of wheelchair people think its an identity not just a piece of equipment so i think its super mean and artie should get replaced by a real wheelchair actor or they should kill the character by making him get hit by a bus or something. And its not good enough to say that the actor does a good job cuz he cant do as good a job as a real wheelchair dude cuz he doesnt know what its like and plus the writers dont know what its really like cuz they dont consult real wheelchair people. I absolutely hate my major (math). I don't know why I chose it. I'm terrible at math and I struggle in all of my classes. Despite my struggling, I've managed to keep a 3.8 GPA (mostly by constantly getting help from my professors). This semester is my last and I have 5 math classes. I'm constantly tired. I want to graduate in December to move in with my fiance who is deploying soon. I'm stressed out and I can't do any of the homework it feels like. I can't find tutors who tutor in the subjects I'm taking. I just need to get through 12 more weeks and I'll have a bachelors and hopefully will never have to do math ever again. I hate school enough that I'm constantly thinking about killing myself to avoid having to do it. (I realize I have other problems besides just hating my major, but I feel like hating school makes me much more unhappy than I would be otherwise). Can anyone give me any advice how to get through the next three months?

I realize this was the dumbest decision me and my buddy have made in our lives. Trust me I dont want to be near a vehicle for a while. I have lost my license for only 90 days, the cops were very respectable about, and did not criminally charge me, although they were good at scaring the **** out of me. It will also cost me 500$ to get my license back after the 90 days, and my car has been impounded for 30 :(. I live in British Columbia, Canada and the car I was in is my parents and I am registered under them. Again, I feel ******* terrible about it and glad I didnt injure anyone, especially someone not in my vehicle. - The drinking age is 19, he didnt charge me for under age thankfully. - Im not considered an adult until I turn 18, you sure this will stick with me?

He broke up with me a week ago because I hurt him really really bad. (I let out my emotions on him & constantly got mad at him, I REALLY messed up & I can't even forgive myself) I'm willing to do ANYTHING to make it better, but he says he needs emotional space (for a few weeks). He says he doesn't want to see anyone else & he still wants to talk, but this is him trying to heal from it. (The first day I didn't text him & he texted me first and asked me how work was & whatnot..) Then for about two days I was really upset & confused so I kept asking him questions and telling him how sorry I am. (BIG no-no. I know.) He did tell me he misses me, he misses us, and he still loves me. He just doesn't want to be with me right now because he needs that space. When we were together, he wanted to be with me forever & asked me to marry him eventually. I love him more than anything. So, I left him alone for the past two days and plan on doing so for a few weeks & I'm working on myself now..but how else can I get him to want to be with me again? Do you think this was just an "out"? I told him to tell me if we for sure aren't getting back together then you need to tell me, and he said but we might. so idk :( Thanks everyone.

are there any computer jobs for 17 year Old my dad whats me to find a job that involves computers because am good with them will if it doesn't involve that much typing AM NOT A GOOD SPELLER but he doesn't understand that a job with computers that a 17 year old can do is very hard to come buy in if there is one its most likely that in NC but just in case am asking this question oh in also i,ll be turning 18 in 3 mouths if that helps any
