[ Mental Health ] Open Question : Will a therapist tell my parents I have an eating disorder?

I already have MDD (major depressive disorder) and I want to see a therapist. But the problem is I also have an eating disorder, and if I talk to my therapist about it, will she tell my mom? I know that therapists can only tell your parents things that are considered a harm to yourself/others, but I'm not sure if an eating disorder is counted as a serious enough harm or not. Help please?

I'm going on a all liquid diet for 2 weeks.. and although I have to drink mostly protein shakes and water I can also have SOME diet sodas. I have tried Coke Zero.. it's okay. I've also tried Diet Dr Pepper.. it to is okay but I don't think I could bring myself to reach for either one.. tonight I tried Sprite zero for the first time and it was amazingly good! Tastes IDENTICAL to sprite! It's the best diet drink I have found so far! Has anyone found any other good diet drinks? How is Diet Mt dew? Thanks for any input

Hey guys so! Theres this guy..that i like lol. I am going to give you our situation. Then the questions near the end. So ive liked him for a while we have the same interests and have some good convos. The way he texts isnt really flirty at all. And it makes me have doubts cause through txt he never really sounds like he likes me anyhow. Last Saturday we were both at a party and really hit it off. After the party he txted me and we talked for a long time then he asked if we could hang out this summer. And so yeah that was sweet. Then pretty much everyday since we've talked. So yesterday he asked me to go for a walk with him. But it didnt work out cause i was busy. And we were talking again today :) but i want to ask him to hang out this weekend. My question is... Is it weird if i ask him to hang out? Should i wait for him to? Do you think he likes me? And just general opinions .. Thanks guys ;)

Well I don't think i do, but everyone else seems to think I do. My boyfriend gets very paranoid if i ever miss a meal or anything. If I don't eat supper at home for a few days, my parents will beg me to at least have something like toast. Yes I don't eat much but I drink lots of liquids, and it's mostly because I hate eating in front of people. I always check my weight and if i gain a few pound yes I will get upset. I'm really short (4 foot 11) and I'm not getting any taller so is it a bad thing to be on my weight? I don't want to look like a balloon here! I'll usually eat like one of my meals a day (most likely breakfast) and have like a few snacks like apple sauce or something. I'm not under weight either. I weight 110 pounds and my friends freak out on me if i say i want to get like to 100 pounds or less. I don't know do I or not? It's just really getting to me cause every ones been on my case. Oh and I'm 14 years old and I know I'm not growing anymore just to let you know. thank you :)

I have finally designed my tumblr the way I want it! The background image is built for the text to read only in the center section. The only problem is when the browser window is anything smaller than maximized, both the text and header adjusts to it but background stays the same. Last Friday nite, I ate a burrito and had diarrhea for about fours days. Yesterday my stomach finally calmed down but I didn't go at all, and I didn't have a bowel movement today either. I don't have any abdominal pain, but I feel more tired than normal. I been trying 2 eat better and been drinking water. However, I have been stressed out a lot, overworked having a job and running my own business at the same time (depending on how hectic things get, I can work up to 12 hours a day). And if im so busy i sometimes forget to eat. Lately I been stressed and my anxiety disorder is working over time. Does this stomach issues have to do with stress or is it a bowel obstruction?

okay. just so you know right from the start, i am NOT a cosplay noob asking who to cosplay (i HATE those types of questions). i have been cosplaying for 3 years so far and ive decided to do a really detailed cosplay. im planning on cosplaying TIRA from the SOUL CALIBUR series. given her multiple costumes, ive provided a picture for reference on which one i plan to make: http://media.giantbomb.com/uploads/2/21980/856496-tira__2__super.png i need information on what materials would be best to use for this costume. im going to make it so what type of fabrics should i use? id also like to make her ring blade so some information on a convenient material that i could possibly find at an art store and that would also make the weapon look as realistic as possible would be great. ^^ (michael's is the most convenient for me...unless i can find it at wal-mart! that..would be wonderful. :D) it's a big cosplay for me and i plan on taking my time on it as my sewing skills improve. also, how can i make the hat stand like hers and still make it comfortable without it being too heavy? also, is her skirt leather? im not sure on the material for her skirt the most. oh! and one more thing. i cant find any full body reference photos of Tira. i can only find cosplayers. if it comes to this, ill settle use reference of other cosplayers. but i much prefer reference of the actual character to avoid errors in the costume. any additional information on how to cosplay this character would be much appreciated! thank you for your help and much love~!

Hi, I'm 15 and have needed AT LEAST an hour every night to fall asleep for as long as I can remember. I have never been fully rested since I started having this problem who-knows-how-long ago. I really need help with it, though, because it is starting to really hurt me in school. Through my 9th grade year I found myself daydreaming more than I ever had before. Even before, like back to 5th grade, I never could focus easily in class and found myself taking a long time to push through my work. I am a solid A/B student and have been my whole life, but have also had trouble finishing something and not getting distracted. So, I told my mom about this because I thought that it was ADD or ADHD, but I tested negative for that. Anyways, the past few days, I've noticed I don't fall asleep until 2 A.M. at the earliest and don't wake up until 10 A.M. at the earliest. It just recently hit me that this could be insomnia when I started thinking of how this girl in my school is an insomniac. This insomnia is making it really hard to focus in school and it is also making me irritable and giving me terrible mood swings. I would blow up at people for trying to be nice and talking to me, or touching me by accident, or other ridiculous things like that. Because of this, I never do my homework when it is not graded and do it at the last minute when it is (or I should say did. I'm on break right now). I'm annoyed by nearly everything my parents or brothers do and also by really simple things that I know SHOULD NOT bother me at all, but they do. It takes me FOREVER to finish a cross stitch, no matter how small, just because I cannot concentrate on ANYTHING for a long time. Sorry if I repeated some things. Anyways, I have an appointment with a pediatrician on July 7th for my degenerative TMJ, knee and hip joint pains, and also my acid reflux. She is supposed to be a really great diagnostician. Should I ask her about my insomnia? Also, my mom sees no problem that it takes so long to fall asleep, but it is a big problem for me. How can I express that to her better? I know it's gonna be kinda crazy, but it's new and different so hear me out(: I have this idea of a restaurant... on a train. I know that there are already restaurants on trains, but those are the ones that you take when you travel far and stuff. This is different. This train would be a high class restaurant. The way it works: The train will go around a major city/ or cities if they are not far apart. You make a reservation to have dinner on the train. When ever you get there you get seated (all the seats are window seats) and from there on out it's just like a regular restaurant, but on the move. The point of this idea is to enjoy a lovely dinner with your family or with your husband/ wife and at the same time enjoy a beautiful view around your lovely city at night. It's perfect for a anniversary, a celebration, a proposal, or just a straight up night out with your love. You won't pay for a ticket to get on the train. You just pay for the meal, but the only way to get on the train is to make a reservation. The train obviously will be going at a slower speed than they normally do and the windows will be bigger than they normally are on trains. And there will be great service, amazing food, and a great time with the one you love. I don't know if I'm crazy with this or if I'm actually on to something. What do you think? Ok here's my story...my parents were drug addicts when I was born. After my birth, My dad quit everything and straightened up but my mom didn't. They divorced and I was constantly caught in between fights. My mom was a terrible influence on me and I was quite the troublemaker. My dad won custody of me and remarried. Since I was 6 my dad has straightened me out to be a nice guy. If it wasn't for him, I would prob be a drug addict hs dropout, or a convict, or quite possibly dead. I was really headed down the wrong path. He basically saved my life and I want to get a tattoo for him. He is all tattooed up his arms and on one of his newer ones he was gonna incorporate the bible verse Psalm 23:4 "yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I shall fear no evil for thou art with me..." but he didn't bc he ran outa room. I really like that and want to get that tagged on me but I don't want just words. What else could I get? I'm open to all serious suggestions. And idrk where I want it yet.

So I work with some guy named Chris. He is such a sweetheart, and he was one of the first people I became friends with when i got my job. He has been very nice to me, jokes around a lot . I'm going on a camping trip this weekend with some of my family (brother and sister and their significant others) and my friend said I should bring him along. I'd prefer he didn't come. I've actually been trying to distance myself from him, but we ride the bus to work together. He's a bit of an emotional vampire. I'm moving in a few weeks anyway and will see him only rarely at work. I don't think it would be necessary to bash him when I'm not going to see him much anymore anyway. Anyone with a polite idea to let him down?
