Hi everyone, I am very interested in the area of pscyhology and would like to study it in the following year.. anyhow, i have read a lot about it.. one topic of psychology that interested me, and that is used in therapies, is cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT).. now, i have read about it, and all it can offer is what it does, and how affective it is.. but i want to learn; HOW CAN SOMEONE USE CBT TO HELP SOLVE ONE'S PROBLEM.. OR PROBLEM OF THE ONE SELF?? so how can I learn to apply those techniques to help solve a problem.. whether anger management, depression, anxiety or sleeping difficulties.. any help will be greatly appreciated, and ALSO VERY USEFUL FOR OTHERs :) thank you for reading and your attention

A child dies every five seconds due to malnutrition/starvation. I think people actually don't care at all. Considering how they add to the problem by having children and using finite resources 500 times faster we can replenish them. Decreasing the population would benefit so many people, wouldn't you agree? A child dies every five seconds, it's not like humanity is on the brink of extinction. When someone says having children is an unselfish thing, I feel like I'm talking to a monkey driven by instinct. I think it's the mostly incredibly selfish thing to do... To drag someone out of the vacuum nonexistence, just to compete against the world for employment. Just to compete so we don't die and suffer. It's not that I don't understand the other side, it's that people don't understand the harm they're causing by having children. People say let these people suffer because it makes them stronger... But I think of thousands of examples where suffering does nothing but drive people to a point of depression, fear, and suicide. I think a prime example is going to war... It is often said that sending people to war turns them into men. It's the prime myth of suffering leads to strength and character. If that's the case, why are there suicides committed every week by Falkland and Vietnam war veterans? It's because there is much horror, fear, and terror in war... These war veterans have traumatic stress disorder. The suffering I'm referring to is the suffering that has no value. Not the suffering that apparently makes people stronger. Do I need to abuse my partner for 20 years so she'll develop assertiveness? Because that would be the problem, her lack of assertiveness. Fortunately, my partner is assertive not to take shlt from people. Is it because suffering is a subjective conscious experience? Can't the word "suffering" be enough to make someone realise what it is? Or do I have to do go about showing video footage of people going though agonising pain? All because you want to have children. We COULD live happier and free from suffering... It's like pulling a fish out of the lake, and throwing him in a bucket with dirty water... And then saying "oh, it's the governments fault that my fish doesn't have clean water."... We know humanity is the reason your children are being fukked over without a pension. So why have children knowing that they'll suffer and die? I don't meam yoir very own children, I mean every child that is born. We're all equal, so lets take care of every child, not just one.

i saw someone on youtube use eyeliner on their nails and then just go over it with a clear coat but when i try it just comes off even after two coats, it's like it's keeping the polish wet wherever i put the eyeliner..is it because it's too creamy? it's hottopic brand and they have pretty creamy pencil liners..

How can I prevent users from creating a password on their account? What I mean is, when you can create a password by going into the user accounts in the control panel, how can I remove the option to create a password or just grey out this option? I need to do this on Windows 7 Home Premium, which has Windows SteadyState installed. Is there any software that can put this block on? Let me know if you need more details. Thank You.

I don't have a ranch or anything like that but at different times in my life I've had small farm animals but like I said my family isn't like big time ranchers or anything. Anyways I dress the way you would expect someone who has MANY animals to dress. I drive a truck, like country music stuff like that. It's just the way I like to live. People often ask me though and they think that I'm from a rancher family. Does the fact that I dress and act this way even though I'm not as "country" as people assume I am make me a fake? I would love to have a ranch I just don't have the funds. I'm just living the way I feel comfortable but sometimes I just wonder and I don't know why. Sometimes I feel really solid about who I am but other times I feel totally lost, not unhappy just like I'm trying to find myself. Plus, I've noticed I spend a lot of time comparing myself to other people, could this be a contribution to my problem?

If a guy says to you "There is no man who is not interested in you" would you think that he likes you? I have a guy friend and a while ago he gave me advice on this guy I used to like. He's always asking me about myself and what I am doing etc.....He has told me I am so pretty, and that I have beautiful eyes and smile....and he said "Wow!" afterwards. He asked me what type of perfume I wear, because he said I smell really good. The other day he saw me wearing a dress and he said I look so cute. He also wants to hang out a lot with me. He doesn't really flirt with other girls, at least the ones that we both know. I am starting to get feelings for him. We've only known each other about 3 months. When we first met, i had a crush on his friend and he was the supportive friend who was giving me guy advice etc. I also gave him advice on this girl he liked (he's straight). the other night i went by his work to say hi and he talked to me for half an hour and then he said that he got off work in 5 minutes and asked if he could walk me home. he's never done that before. then he asked me while we were walking if i wanted to grab a bite to eat. he paid for it, pulled out my chair, and was such a sweetheart the whole time. The next night i met him after work and I brought him a beer and I didn't have an umbrella so he carried the umbrella over me. He put his around me for a second and asked if it was okay. Then we talked outside my apartment for 2 hours and he said that hearing the rain was very romantic. He said he wanted to go out with me and my friends to the club the next night, and then when we were supposed to go he said his best friend couldn't go and he wanted to go with his friend so he said "maybe next time! i'm so so sorry!" i was really sad because i wanted to see him so bad, and i texted "don't be lame, there's lots of ppl and i will buy you a tequila shot" to which he didn't reply so i texted him "you suck". i was half joking.....i feel so bad now because he hasn't talked to me since and now i am afraid he is hurt or mad at me. sorry this is so long, i don't know what i should say to him!!

I finished my second period a month ago but I've been having a strange pattern. 3 weeks before my first period I had about a day of brown discharge and then it stopped. A month exactly (the day it would have been due) after my first period i ha the discharge again, and my period came 3 weeks later. Today is exactly a month after my 2nd period and I've got brown discharge. What is going on? Is this my 3rd period? Does this happen to anyone else?

I've been looking for a good loyal medium sized dog that will bond well with me and will do well inside (I live on the lake, so there will be plenty of walking and exercise). I've taken interest in the Australian Shepard, but I don't know that much about them, other than the fact that they're active and have long coats. However, he found his celebrity through his talent. He was an overrated footballer in his day, but he was still talented and became famous for possessing that talent. He is a grovelling sycophant when it comes to the royals, like so many, however it has worked for him as he's actually in a position to make 'friends' with Wills. However, as much as I dislike Beckham (and I really dislike him), I find it astounding that people on here put him down yesterday whilst simultaneously glorifying royalty. Here's a clue: Beckham was a working-class lad who made it good. He worked hard to get where he is and is evidence of merit. Yes, he has achieved more than his talent should have made possible, but the fact remains he is famous for being good at something. What is William known for? Nothing, he's known for exiting the correct vagina, a lottery. He has no talent for anything, he certainly can't do a single thing to the level which David Beckham can play football. Beckham is far more talented than William, or any other member of the Royal Family. The guy is a sniveling weasel, yes, but he became famous due to being good at something. He isn't an accident of birth. I get the feeling you snobby buffoons put Beckham down yesterday because he is a 'commoner' mixing with our 'great royalty'. It's absolutely pathetic, and as much as I hate Beckham and the increasing sell-out he has become over the years, there is a purpose to his fame, unlike that gimp William's. Perhaps you hypocrites should think about that. I can't actually believe I am defending Beckham. However, to put him down and then glorify the talentless royal family is extremely hypocritical.

Every few months or so I will wake up to my 7 year old Shih-Tzu gagging/coughing. He is perfectly fine during it, he still runs and plays and drinks but it happens for an hour or so. It's only in the mornings and sometimes (but rarely) it includes white bile/foam. I'm wondering if maybe its some sorta hairball or from destroying his rope toy so much? He never seems to swallow the strings from his rope toy though. I rarely catch him licking/cleaning himself.
