I got an e-mail after posting this answer on another question. I was accused of sounding biased towards women and being condescending. Do you agree? Disagree and why? This is for research. Please be honest. My answer: "I think you are a female. I assume everyone is who they say they are. I have no intentions on meeting any user from this forum anyways. But I can see why some would think you are a man sometimes. It's hard to believe any female can be an anti-feminist. Especially scientists of all people. But you need to do whatever makes you happy girl." Thanks! :)

I took my 6 month old to get her shots today and they asked if I wanted to give her the flu shot but I have heard that it is not good to give babies flu shots... so I didnt. I also have never had a flu shot and im perfectly healthy. So should I get her a flu shot??

Hello there, i have a question. Whats your opinion on a 17 year old dating a 12 year old? Well im not either of them, but I know both the lovers. The 12 year old is a male and the 17 year old is a female. Im not going to say their names due to both privacy and safety concerns. They have almost EVERYTHING in common, they are both emo. The male and the female have been friends before this relationship for a very, very long time, and they both fell for each other. They told me they had so much in common and they were a perfect fit and any discrimination towards their relationship would just be pushed aside.. I think its ok but what is your opinion. To me, i just go with the flow of things and if they are truly in love im cool with that, Love is an element that empowers everything else and age is just a silly number. What is your opinion?

This is a fairly new laptop, less than 2 months old... Videos always ran fine, no lag, clear and fast. Now tonight, I started watching videos on youtube and all of the videos are lagging, I have also tried watching videos on videobb and elsewhere and all of them lag.

Which camera should I get? I really like how the first camera is small and sleek, but I like how the second camera is better quality and has some additional things that are better. I've had experience with the SD1400IS and I know it is good, but I'm afraid that I will regret not getting the SX210IS. Can someone that has had experience with either/both of these cameras please give me some good reviews? I need answers fast!!!

I've been taking 40mgs accutane once a day for two almost three months for my acne. So far my face has really dried up and my lips are all cracked from being so dry. I know these are normal, but other than that my acne seems to have only gotten worst and nothing is really going on to improve my skin and scars. Other than have a really dry face, nothing is happening to improve my condition. How long does this process take?

I'm a soccer fan and I just started to play soccer for fun a couple months ago, but now I'm seriously practicing and trying to be the best I could be. I like how Lionel Messi plays. We're both left footers and i want to learn how to play like him; how he jukes everyone, runs so fast, takes perfect shots, everything. I've never played for a team in my life and I'm about to tryout for my school team next week. I can barely do anything with my right foot so i want to work with that,overall, I've been doing pretty good but i want to be better. okay so, im going into Grade 8 this fall and i SERIOUSLY need help! I'm getting this REALLY hard math teacher, and if you get the question wrong, he makes fun of you, and im REALLY bad at math. Like im in grade 8 and i barely know my times tables! So if he asks me a question in public and i get it wrong he makes fun of people, and everyone ends up crying, like every person he taught always ends up crying. The biggest problem is, in grade 7, i went on a 2 month vacation, so i missed some math parts, and when i came back, it was too late to sign up for summer school, so when i get into that part of math, it's going to be REALLY hard on me, especially since he won't understand, like im excellent in every subject BUT math, and im REALLY scared, so, is there ANY way to memorize my times tables like to get them FAST I already know my 0's 1's 2's 3's 4's 5's 6's 9's 10's 11's but i need help with my 7's 8's 12's. Is there a trick or something i can know to get them? The other problem is, with the times tables i already know, i kind of hesitate when i say them, like i have to count out how much i am multiplying it by,( for example 8x5 i'd have to go 5,10,15,etc..) so i REALLY need help because i seem to get picked on the most by math teachers because of my struggles, and its REALLY embarrassing when the teacher is like what's 8x7 and i just freeze and not know the answer while everyone else knows it! Sorry its so long, but i REALLY need help! Thanks

Federal and State governments are already heavily taxing their citizens who work. Apparently, there is still a need for more money. The government's traditional approach is simply to raise taxes even higher on the working class. Let's try something different -- an approach that successful businesses take: cut spending. The best place to start is in our prisons. Find the criminal who has committed (convicted of) the most murders or rapes and execute him. Talley up the savings on jail space, food, lodging, court costs, etc. Now we have an open space in the prison (don't need to spend more money on that prison) and we saved money. Repeat as necessary (again, execute the worst offenders first and work your way down) A month or so ago, the State of Minnesota was having budget issues -- they could have implemented this in their state prisons. Now the Federal Government is unable to find a balanced budget so the Federal prisons can try it out? So what do you think? Time to start saving money the way privately owned businesses do?

I'm 17 and I'll be 18 in 4 weeks. I almost have a job. I'm getting A's, B's and some C's in school so not too bad. I'm a senior but one of the oldest in my grade. All o my friends have NO curfew and there 16-17 or turning 18. My mom is a single mother with a boyfriend who I can't stand so most of my time is spent OUT of my house. My curfew on school nights is 9 P.M. Someomes 10 P.M. Depending on my moms mood but rarely and on weekends it 10 PM. Sometimes 10 P.M. Again depending on her mood but also rarely. I think she's being harsh considering I'll be 18 in 4 weeks. All of my friends are able to stay out late and I have to stop hanging out wih them and go home and I feel left out. I've tried talking to my mom but she tells me to shut up. What should I do? And what was your curfew at 17 turning 18 or what is your daughters/sons curfew? Help

my friends would describe me as crazy people always ask me if i drink alot of coffee... but i dont !! i hate coffee and soda too which they also ask i always just do stupid stuff, but idk why. like afterwards i will be like what was the point of that? like stuff like if there is a poster hanging up in school, ill rip it down and i dont know why. or ill be walking and see a big rock and run over and climb up on it, then jump down then keep walking. alsoooo i always test authority and in stupid ways like if im taping my desk and a teacher says stop ill still tap but then stop 2 taps later. and ill just like bounce an object on the floor just to see if it will bounce and like if im in gym class and we are running around the gym and like a closet is open and i see something like a frisbee for example, ill walk in and grab the frisbee and yeah like if we are supposed to be doing push ups or something ill just stand there daydreaming or ill do jumping jacks or something, idk oh and also like if someone tells me not to do something for no reason, like swinging a stick or something i will stop but then 5 minutes later forget they said not to and ill do it again just to do it and then put it down and if they say they told me to stop ill be like sorry because i am sorry i just didnt realize they had already told me not to is this just being a teenager or is there something to it?? because i dont think its normal because everyone knows me as me for this stuff haha thanks!!!

I have had a lack of role modelling and guidance growing up. I have had my own interests, but never thought I had any talents or abilities (everyone has them... on a continuum .... some have less talent, some more, but everyone has 'talents') .... I am questioning whether this was because lack of role modelling and guidance, no one ever pointed out to me that I had any talents or was good at something, no one acknowledged a "job well done"... ever; I don't remember it happening until I was in grade 12 (the time where I 'blossomed') ... So do you guys think my confusion over who I am and what I really like was because of lack of guidance?

ok im really confused. im trying to lose weight, but since were driving to Florida after tomorrow, for three days we will literally be spending ALL our time in a car. LITERLY. we will just be sitting there watching movies while my parents drive (im 15, 5'6 165 pounds) sooo... since im doing NOTHING would 500 calories be a god amount? i usually take in 800-1500 calories a day and burn 300-400. sometimes more! so what would i need to take in on thoes days?

So I was writing stuff in my journal for about an hour and a half without any break, then my pointer finger start to hurt and it was a bit slanted and closer to the middle finger. So I continued to write still hoping it would go away later... then on my thumb, underneath the thumbs nail... It started to hurt. Felt like there was a little cut underneath my thumbs nail. 1) Is the slanted finger going to be straight again? 2) Would the thumb's nail pain ever go away? Any suggested remedies or if needed... over the counter products? Its been still slanted and thumb hurting for a few hours now. Sorry I'm so noob at this, I've never written so long that I started having weird 'symptoms' lol

Okay so about 3 or 4 months ago my husband talked me into going to a club with him, his cousin, and her boyfriend. Now i am NOT a club goer. But I didn't have many friends at the time so I was up for anything. We went and was having fun. Until I stepped outside to smoke, My husband being the gentlemen that he is, wouldn't let me go outside alone (for safety reasons) and as we we're walking out the door the other guy yelled "I'm getting you a beer!" That rubbed me the wrong way. I had a really bad childhood due to alcohol. I'm not gonna get into all of that though. So i leaned over and whispered "No." As we we're walking past them my husband said "Haha okay." When we got outside I told him that seriously made me mad. Then he came up with a lame excuse how if you tell a guy yes that means no. I refused to go back in. I was gonna let them continue to have fun without me. My husband refused that! So he went inside and got his cousin and her bf in the fight. So long story short they wanted me to leave them there while me and my husband left. I did. So now she hates me. Until yesterday my husband hadn't spoke to her. But when i saw them talking yesterday it made me mad. Of course I have more respect than to say anything. Was i in the wrong? Why did I get mad? HELP!?!??

Okay long story short, I have to move in with my dad in some apartment out of town. I'm going into 10th grade btw. Now honestly I'd have to go to a new school. These people have been going to school with each other since like kindergarten, and I won't know anyone..they won't know me. I'd be in hell for the next 3 years. This isn't some disney movie, everyone has their friends and they stick to them So do you think getting home schooled (on the computer) would be the best idea?
