I'm am a freshman at my high school & i want to try volleyball. i played it in middle school during gym for a few weeks, but we didn't really learn a lot about the game. all freshmen make the freshman team, but only the better players get chosen to be put on the Junior varsity & varsity team. i really want to make the Junior varsity team because they get more plat time, a school t-shirt & a really cool back bag. i'm not very familiar with the game so i would really appreciate if someone listed some of the basics i would need to know to play. or give the link to a website about how to volleyball. actually, anything that would help would be appreciated. I'm going into high school in 2 days now and I was wondering what I should act like. When it comes down to it I have a 50/50 personality. Half the time I am really funny and everyone enjoys being around me, but when I am like this at school I only get like 60-75% marks which I dont really likeand the other half I am just a kid who comes across as someone who has a total lack of personality and only focuses only on school and gaming and gets 85%+ in every class So what's better? having grades that are "okay" and having a lot of friends? or having little friends and fairly decent grades? I know getting good grades is important but I think if that's all I focus on not a lot of people will like me and I will be a bit of a loner in high school

I'm familiar with problems such as these: Calculate the pH during the titration of 20.0 mL of 0.25 M HBr with 0.25 M KOH after 29.3 mL of the base have been added. But, knowing that titrations can be recorded by a graph I want to know HOW do you plot a titration curve? Any help is appreciated.

Okay so I am over weight and I hate my looks...in other words I wanna look better and I can do that I know I can but I need tips so do you have any? also where can I find someone like me? Just curious, I know I was tested for HIV and chlamydia, but I'm not sure what else. I recently found out my spouse was unfaithful to me and I'm worried as I have a few symptoms, but they could also be from a yeast infection. Basically I'm looking for peace of mine until my next doctors visit.

Okay so theres this guy,i just met this year in school&he sits beside me at lunch with a couple of my friends(he already knows them,but he juust met me). Well i told him to match me&the next day he did even though i was joking. He lets me touch his hair but doesnt let other people touch it. When i was looking through my purse he looked at my legs&i was snapping his arm with this bracelet&he kept smiling and looking at me &always messes with me. He also called his other friend during lunch&they were both messing with me&one of his friend(hes my friend too)walked by our table and gave him this niiiiceeee!(; look and he just raised his eyebrows&smiled&then they both looked at me. My friend told me he asked her what my full name was to look me up on facebook but when he went to add me,i had already added him and he just accepted. Hes a year younger than me(14). So the problem is i already have had a boyfriend for almost 2 months. &when i had a super horrible day i didnt think "oh im going to see him at lunch" i texted my bf first because he was the first person that ran through my mind and when he made me feel better i thought "well ill see *the guy from lunch* soon so itll be fine". Sometimes i look at him and think i would want to kiss him and hold his hand but when i had a bad day ,first person on my mind was my bf soo im confused. I recorded myself playing using a rode audio shotgun mic, and in playback I get static from the higher frequencies or frequencies that resonate. Is there anyway to remove that noise/static in a program? Final Cut Pro? any other apps?

It may sound dumb but I am really scared about having my little boy this winter. I am due at the end of Novemember. My fear is my 2 year old will be sick, my husband will get sick from work or I will get sick. Im not a germaphobe but I am a little when it comes to newborn babies. My daughter was born in April and I still did not take her out or have any vistors for 30 days. I know for a lot of people this may be a little dramatic but its a tradition in my family in order to keep new babies with little immunities from getting really sick. I was really lucky with my daughter and she was not sick for over a year after being born. Anybody else go through this or feel this way?

i found this recipe for jamaican rice and peas and since i dont understand it i was wandering if someone could help. Rinse the rice in water and drain. Put the rice and cooked beans in a heavy pot. Measure the coconut milk and add enough water to make 2 cups. Pour the coconut milk over the rice and beans and add two cups of water. Break the onion in half and lay it on top of the coconut milk along with the thyme and pepper, do not stir. Bring the mixture to a boil and turn it down to low and cover the pot. Cook for 30-40 minutes, or until all of the liquid is absorbed. Let stand for a few minutes before removing the thyme, pepper and onion. Season with salt to taste and serve. what is meant by measure the cocnut and add enough water to make two cups?? im confused then after that it says add 2 more cups of water is that including the previous cups or another 2 cups of water??

I hear various arguments to and for interstellar travel. It seems to be the opinion of many people who understand science that FTL travel is absolutely impossible. But I read that some do say its theoretically possible. Does "theoretically possible" mean "slim chance?" or do we have a real crack at exploring well outside the solar system one day? Why is there a disagreement as to whether or not its possible? And of course, generational ships might make it possible, although the ethical ramifications make it seem as though this probably will not be utilized, at least if our society's value of the rights of individuals remains intact in a highly developed future. Although I suppose there is no guarantee on that. One other question, and this is more a ridiculous and fantastical scenario, but the answer is to help understand humanity's capabilities. If we somehow though the earth was going to end in the next 20-50 years, and the only way to prevent it was travel to a nearby solar system, could we pull together and develop the appropriate technology in time?

I live in Massachusetts and would like to explore a little outside but wouldn't mind staying in boston. I have a 3.4/4 gpa and I got a 22 on my act. I am planning to re take it. I have a lot of volunterrwork, 2 physical therapy internships, volunteer at a suicide hotline, volunteered at the hospital for 4 years, played the violin for 9 years, took ap art, volunteer for the red cross, and rowed crew for 6 years (three seasons a year) .I would like to go to school that is big like penn state, uconn or drexell that would give me a lot of options because I wanna do something in health sciences. are there any good schools in chicagoo? Also could you make a list of safety, target and reaches for me. thank youuu

Well me and her are both into football and we love playing Madden 2010 for PS3. I had no time for breakfast so I had 3 100 calorie granola bars and grapes I do alot of stair climbing and walking at school Lunch was an 80 calorie apple I ran the mile in 9 minutes 2 seconds Then after school I had aerobics class for about an hour Supper was 2 bowls of homemade turkey taco soup which had: black beans, corn, lean turkey(ground), another type of bean With a bit of watermelon and Spinach and 3 baby carrots. I'll go on a 30 minute walk. I only drink water.

I was rooming with a couple that was constantly arguing, they would break up every other weekend; they were loud and smoked pot in the balcony right next to my room. I had trouble sleeping at night; I even told them I got ear plugs. They would also eat my food, annoying. Everything got worse one day when the electric got disconnected because of lack of payment. I paid my rent in advance because they didn't have any money to reconnect the electricity. A couple of weeks after the cable and internet got disconnected because of failed of payments (again, this time for several days). I decided to move out because the situation was unbearable to me. I moved out at the end of the month. They are claiming because I didn't give them 30 days notice I have to pay them next month's rent. I am aware of this but how am I supposed to pay them rent if services keep being disconnected? What's next? What guarantee do I have the rent is actually being paid? We only had a verbal agreement, and they were renting from the owner, meaning they do not put me on the lease at all (I am not even sure if they were allowed to sublet). I am a very decent person but these guys were the most horrible roommates, they put me thought a very difficult situation, still not even telling me when the internet and cable will be hooked up again, when I moved out the cable and internet were still disconnected. What are my rights? Can they sue me? I can prove that all their bills were late and the services keep getting disconnected. I do not want to go to court but this is beyond ridiculous, they created a hostile situation for me and now they are claiming to be paid for next's month rent because I didn't' give them 30 days. Any advice anyone?

I have a Samsung 50" 720p plasma . After it has been on for a half hour or so the tv will go black but there is sound. If I go and shake the tv the image comes back and then after awhile it will go black again. Now it just stays black with sound and shaking it isn't working. I'm wondering what the problem could be and if it would be worth fixing.
