Well I have two friends that have flat out said that they just don't like black people. Of course they say the word ******, of course not to black people themselves, but usually when we are just amongst ourselves. That word is not in my use of vocabulary. It doesn't appeal to me at all. When they say it around me, I don't really care, it's more of a *rollseyes* type of thing. I've met some cool black people in my day, granted I've had a few bad encounters with black people it's not like I can't say the same about white people too. I just have encounters with different people in general. So one of my buddies sisters was hanging out with us and we got on the topic of using the N word... my friends sister stated it was "ignorant" to use that word to my friends, and when I got into a debate with them about it months ago I said the same thing, it was "ignorant". Both times one friend said the same thing "What's so ignorant about it?" What bothers me the most is that he/they think that it is absolutely NOT ignorant to say that and most of all they think it's "okay". For some reason my own impression tells me that it is without a question an ignorant word to use. Ignorance basically means lacking knowledge as we all know. And my friend knows this because he explained to my other friends sister the definition. I believe it is ignorant because they're not acknowledging that this word was used in abuse, and white racism towards blacks in society fed and sustained this word. Yet, they say they are not racist, they just believe that our white race is superior. Bam, I think I just hit the nail on the head. Next time I'll be ready for that debate. Any thoughts on whether it is or it is not ignorant to use the "N" word, by anybody?

So there's this guy, and I told him I like him. The only thing is we live a long way apart. He said he doesn't like me back, so I went out with someone else. Here is our text convo: Him-"Do you still like me? Please tell me you don't" Me-"No, I just like you as a friend. I'm really happy with my boyfriend" Him-"Good, because I don't like you either". He is always really interested in my relationship. Because he was so interested, I told him my boyfriend and I kissed, and he just pretended I hadn't said anything and he ignored me. WHY does he act like this??? He has lied to me about liking me before (said he didn't like me when he actually did) because we live in different states.

Some books I like are Harry Potter, The Truth about Celia Frost, The Book Thief, The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas, The Chronicles of Narnia and Boys Don't Cry. I'm thinking about reading The Hunger Games and Percy Jackson. Have you got any other suggestions? I don't want to read a book that is mainly about romance, but a little bit is okay. I also like books that are set in the victorian era/wartime Britain. I'm a 13 (Almost 14) year old girl.

Is it time to move out of my moms house? Background: I'm a 23 year old male living with my sister(21) and Mom I'm currently working and completing my Bachelors degree in marketing (12 hours left)... I'm almost to embarrassed to tell the story but whatever y'all don't know me. Here's a list of things I deal with on a almost daily basis living at home... 1. NO Privacy. 2. I have to keep my door open if I have lady friends over. 3. When a girl does come over my mom is always asking what I'm doing from downstairs and this is with the door open which leads to point four. 4. If my room door is closed my mom and/or sister will just bust into the room without knocking. 5. People open my mail. 6. My sister is always hogging the bathroom sometimes causing me to be late to work because I cant take a shower and get ready for work. 7. There is hair all over the place from my sister and she refuses to clean it. 8. When girls come over my sister might say something to them and totally cock block... Heres a real example "you dont look like the same girl from last weekend" 9. I have to deal with my sisters attitude even after the fact im so nice to her. Basically I could keep going and going I just feel like if I move I'm gonna miss my mom but at the same time I have asked numerous times for at least a little privacy and after a few days things go back to the same way. I'm courteous I don't drink don't smoke nothing but go to work, school and play ps3. My sister has said a few times that I should move but I know my mom doesn't want me to leave. I'm really confused can someone just give me some constructive advice and yes I do suffer from a mild case of mamas boy syndrome.

I'm 14 now and the postman came and left the little royal mail card saying " sorry you weren't in" to go pick it up later(cos I didn't answer the door) and it says it couldn't be delivered because it needs a signature do you think he will be aNnoyed now he has to go pick it up? cos it says his name on the card for the signature, so would I have been able to sign it anyway? and I'm under 18aswell?
