So, I'm going to be honest because it's the internet and no one knows me. My sister and I have a 11 year age gap (I'm 26 she's 37). We grew up with our mum who had a real temper and was physically and mentally abusive (both of our dad's left). So, when I was about 9, my sister moved out. I was taken out of school and basically looked after my mum till I was 15 and I ran away from home. I was homeless, I had no friend's, and I became a prostitute, which my sister found out about and she was obviously very upset. However, I got lucky and fell in love with someone, got a strait job, went to college and university and everything was fine.A few years later, I got married and had a child. I now run my own business, live in a beautiful house in NY. I have problems sometimes, but normal problems. I decided to stop talking to our mother about 10 years ago because she was ruining my life. My sister however, is very cold towards me. She still talks to our mother, and she's always distressed about it. But I think, that's her decision if she wants to talk to her. Although we both live relatively near to each other, we never see each other. If I invite her round she'll say "oh, I'm really tired" or if I say "do you want to meet for a drink and a movie?" she'll say " oh, I'm busy". I have invited her daughter over for days out at the zoo etc, and she'll say "oh it's ok, Julie can stay at home with me a watch the telly while I do housework". If I call, she rarely picks up the phone, and never calls me back. When I do talk to her, she's never honest and after 5 minutes she'll say "ok, I'll let you go now". I don't know what I've done so wrong. Has anything like this ever happened to you? What should I do about it? I don't expect to be best friend's, but I would at least like to see my neice and be able to have a chat. What do you think?

1) for blackwing: gale the whirlwind's effect of halfing the attack and defence of one monster pre turn, it says once per turn, does that mean once per the controller's turn and the other guys turn? so i could use his effect during my oppoanites main phase to half the atk of a monster, then when it comes to my turn half the atk of another one and so forth, people use shi en's effect during their turn and the other players turn so im gussing it means both players turns, but isnt that a little over powered? you could just half the atk every time he summons a monster 2) for royal tribute, how do you know if the other player discarded all his monsters? no where on the card does it say that you have to show your hand, just discard your monsters, so how do you know their not cheating? 3) if the other players monster attacks, and i use D prison, and then they use solemn judgement, can i chain another D prison again to stop the attack?

I don't usually have normal relationships with guys. It's usually just sexual. But when I met a guy that's genuinely interested in me, I get attached very quickly. I don't show it. I just keep it to myself but it's quite overwhelming. Like, I worry about them alot and I start caring about them a lot and develop strong feelings. This usually leads to me getting walked on and taken advantage of. Like my ex, I cared so much about him and I was willing to do anything for him. He eventually became abusive but I stayed with him because I still had strong feelings for him regardless of whether he hit me or not. How can I try and distance myself and not pour my feelings into whatever guy that I meet that wants to be in a relationship with me?

So, ok, school starts next month, and I want to know how much weight I can loose in that amount of time. I mean absolutely as much as possible without starving myself/liposuction. I am a centimetre under 5'5, and I weigh 134 pounds. I'm a little chubby in the stomach/thighs area, so I want to loose that, and I want to loose AT LEAST 10 pounds. Currentley I just swim for 1 hour a day, 6 days a week. So, to loose as much weight as physically possible, can someone please tell me: A) how many calories I would have to consume. B) how many hours a day I would have to excursize (6 days a week. Anything additional I'd have to do to the swimming, and that's mandatory) C) what would my results be after a month

So, today when I was playing COD4 online, my rank was switched from 31 to 55 in an instant. I did a bit of research, and it seems I accidentally entered a modified lobby. Is this something I should worry about? Is my PS3 console and COD4 game still safe to play? I'm worried that this hack messed up my PS3, or my COD4. I heard that the creators of COD4 don't plan on doing anything about the modified lobby or the hackers who make them. Is this true? I hope not because COD4 is a great game and all. :(

I've just got out of a relationship that was becoming very difficult - but I don't like to label the guy as 'abusive', since I'm quite a strong character and stood my ground over many issues. What I don't think people take into account is that if you're with someone who is controlling and likes to dominate (which this man did), it's actually not always safe to take a stand. I'd known him only a month before I saw his temper flare - and that he didn't appear able to control it. I also noticed other mood swings in him, including sudden tears, but he didn't seem to be particularly empathetic, although he THOUGHT he was. (My previous boyfriend was, so the difference between them was clear.) He also appeared misogynistic to me - he was always running down his previous girlfriend, for instance, and generally seemed to have a slightly low opinion of us. On top of this, he told lies all the time, which was extremely confusing. It was a relief when it finally finished after three months. If I'd stayed, things would only have got worse - and they were already going rapidly downhill. I just think he was rather unstable, one way or another. He didn't see me and think, 'Oh, goody, another victim', because I'm not; BOTH people get into the relationship, and they are drawn to each other through the power of attraction - it's not conscious, and sometimes you can make mistakes. I wish people would stop being amateur psychologists - there is no point in all this futile 'labelling' - it's just one more reason for women to feel guilty about themselves. And I'd like to remind people, too, that it's not just women who are on the receiving end of rough times emotionally - sometimes women treat nice men appallingly. Even professionals don't label people with REAL emotional problems in the way ordinary people do; I find it a bit presumptious!

I am 2 weeks late on my period and i didn't have the normal signs of PMS I did feel very sick a week before i was suppose to start, but it has kinda went away i still have acid coming up very frequently and i have minor cramps, but nothing like im going to start i get head aches every now and then and i have been a little more hungry then usual.. Me and my boyfriend have had sex at the beginning of the month and in the middle and we used the (pull out method) i don't have any signs of anything.. I don't know if i could be pregnant I haven't been stressing over it either.. I was outside waiting on a friend while my car was just idling. All of a sudden i noticed that it was off. I went to turn it back on and all it would do was make a clicking noise. I had someone jump me and my car started right back up. After driving i noticed that my radio wasn't working. I decided to turn my air on because it is so hot outside and i did fine for about 5 mins. and then all of a sudden all of my gages dropped so i turned off the air and all the gages went back to normal. I came home and shut it off and it restarted back up w/ the raido still not working. What could be the problem?!

I just saw Harry potter in 3-d. It was a great movie. But the 3-d added nothing to the movie except an interesting vies. When sound was added, ,more information could be given in the movie. Hello, My computer is acting slow as hell unless i am in safe mode. I have tried to scan it and everything and it doesn't work. The only way i am able to access everything i need is through safe mode, but don't want to stay on the damn thing lol. So is there a way to completely take EVERYTHING off of my hard drive while on Safe Mode? if not, what do you recommend?

About 4 months ago, I noticed this girl (who's in a different grade than me) starting to stare at me. It was always from a distance. Naturally I would stare back, which she definitely noticed. It was usually eye contact. This went on for a while, until track season started. One time, when I was walking by her, a friend noticed that she was checking me out. (he said it was pretty obvious). This staring fiasco went on for about a month more until one day, I was alone with her and she struck up a conversation with me and asked me what grade I was in and how old I was. She seemed pretty interested, because she asked all the questions. The talk was cut short because something came up in the track meet and she had to leave. After that, I would see her in the halls of school and she would either look at me, or ignore me completely. When I was in a group of people with her present, she would ignore me completely, but as soon as I left she would start eying me. A good friend of mine asked her if she stares at me and she said she does not. About a month passed after this incident, and I had not seen her for a while since track season had ended and I go to a large school. One day while waiting at a stoplight with friends, she pulled up in the passenger seat of a car, and she started to stare at me. I was caught off guard and naturally turned away quickly. About 2 weeks ago, during XC practice, I noticed her staring at me from a distance. I'm not sure what to do in this situation. I am really attracted to her, and I'm scared I'm out of her league. (she's really, really attractive). I'm just an average person, not suave or anything. How should I approach her? What should I do? I really could use some help please.

Here's the thing, The past year i have tried to convince my parents to switch me into independent studies my junior year (this year 2011-2012) to finish my 90 credits and graduate my junior year thus a year early. But they will not support me with my plan. They want me to finish my junior year at my current high-school and remain in marching band and then in 2012 summer, finish my 30 credits to graduate then. But I do not want to do that for the life of me. Here's my plan, please tell me if it is reasonable or not: Quit marching band now. Enroll in independent studies. Get a job after i turn 16 in the beginning of august. Finish my 90 credits by may&graduate in June. The following September start at a local community college for general ed. Or begin at an ultrasound technician school. I think that my plan is pretty solid. But my parents don't want me to do that. How can i get my way with this? this is really how i want my life to be&i just want my parents to accept me for who i am with what i want to do. Is my plan solid? Is it reasonable? what else should i say to argue my point with them?

I've been working at culvers for the past week now and I have one more week of training. Each of my shifts are typically 3 hours long. Pay day is coming up, and a co-worker informed me that trainees don't get paid until they are done with training. Isn't this illegal? I'm sure my co-worker isn't serious and I never agreed to this.
