There are often claims that there are too many atheists or too many Christians or members of a particular faith represented in Religion & Spirituality. However, I think the group that is most over-represented flies a little below the radar, just like they do in real life: the mentally ill. There seem to be a very large percentage of the population here that exhibit signs of mental illness. I realize that I'm more sensitive to this than most, but I wonder if others notice this, as well. Do you? (Hint: I've seen many people claim that atheists are fools and Christians are crazy, and that's not what I'm speaking about at all, so really, don't waste your time with this approach.)

This year, during my first year at university, i was doing coke a little bit, maybe once a month or so. It was never an out of control type of thing, I still focused on school and most of the time didn't use. When i got home at the end of second semester, i was partying with a 'friend' of mine, i'll call him Paul, another female friend of mine, and two of Paul's friends, too. I've known this guy for four years and though it would be totally safe and fun. He offered me free coke, which i stupidly accepted after drinking half a 2/6. We were all just sitting and laughing and stuff, then Paul suggested him and I go to the balcony for a bit. We were just talking out there untill he pushed me onto the ground, pulled down my skirt and underwear and started having sex with me from behind. I was really fucked up at this point but when i realized what was happening i yelled out for him to stop. He did, and i ran inside to the bathroom and starting throwing up. He came in and helped me, but when i'd finished being sick (although not even standing up again yet), he pulled my skirt down and started with me again. I stopped him quicker this time, and was really out of it but told him no. I was bleeding from being pushed down to the ground, as well as because of what was done to me. My friend was asleep at this point, Paul's friends were in the living room, one sleeping and one watching TV (i dont know if they'd heard me). Paul told me he thought I'd wanted it. At first i felt really badly because i felt like i'd been too friendly and had encouraged him to do what he did to me. I apologized over and over for being too flirty. that weekend I felt the lowest i ever had in my entire life, didn't tell anyone because i was so ashamed and horrified. Paul told me to call him if i needed to talk, he called me during the week as well to check up on me. At first i thought that was nice of him and that maybe this was an unfortunate mistake of mine but at least he's a good friend (even though he never actually apologized). It's been almost two months, i finally told two friends, and they've made me realize that maybe he was actually just covering up for himself.. That this wasn't my fault but that he'd raped me. this is probably a silly question, but i'm still asking: does this count as rape? oh.. and i was also a virgin before this.

Ok so I'm 19 and I moved to Vancouver a couple months ago, I met this girl named Jess at my class, we are from the same country so we became friends and well we went to a party like 3 weeks ago, we were 3 girls (my friend, me and another girl) and 4 guys which I'll name as Cory, Austin, Pete and Steve, Cory is another classmate which I have never talked to, Austin and Steve are his roommates, well that day we we're at Pete's apartment having a couple of drinks eventually we got drunk, the thing is that this guy Steve was talking to me a lot more than to the other 2 girls, like for example when I took his cap from his head one of his friends said "don't let her took your cap" and he said "I can't do anything if a cute girl wants it", he was hugging me and he almost kissed me, but I'm not that kind of girl that kiss anyone even if i'm drunk, well then while we were drunk he asked for my number but I didn't remember it at that moment so he asked for my name in facebook and added me that same day also he wrote his phone number on my ipod (this might sound stupid but I don't think he was that drunk at that point because he remembered his phone number), I thought he was into me until my friend told me that he wrote her an inbox in facebook and told her that we should hang out, I was really confused because he never wrote anything to me, yesterday night I saw him at another party but he didn't talked to me at all, he talked all the time with my friend Jess, he hugged her, also I heard he told her that he saw on facebook that she played guitar or bass and that that was pretty awesome. Ok now the problem is that on facebook i'm "in a relationship" with a friend from my country but thats not true we just like to goof around so I don't have a boyfriend but this guy Steve doesn't know that so i don't know if he is ignoring me because he thinks i have a boyfriend or because he really likes my friend, I have to say that to be honest I am prettier than my friend she is like a metal girl and I'm a little more girly I'm not bragging about it I swear, also this guy is like a punk semi metal guy so to be honest I am really confused wether he likes me but he thinks I have a boyfriend or he started liking her because she plays instruments and because they share common interests? Hi, we want to make a game (software) with my friends. We want to create a 3-D room, put some objects into it, move the objects around, move in the room to see around, put different wallpapers on the walls etc... This game will be running on an multi-touch environment like IPAD, Android, or Windows-touch. We want to use C++ & OpenGL to make this, but wanted to get your opinions. Q1: Is the technology choice good? Or should we go with .NET & Flash to move faster?? If yes, can we do these with Flash? Q2: If we go with C++ & OpenGL, is it easy (or even possible) to port it to IPAD or Android? Q3: Should we go with HTML5 & WebGL for IPAD & Android? How mature are these technologies? Thanks a lot. I have had an unexpected divorce this year. I feel although I am over it enough to move on from it. I was missing intimacy so I made a friend with benefits. Ive realized that we are doing more relationship stuff and talking almost everyday. This scares me because it might be too early (only Been divorced 5 months but was distant with husband for like a year before that). I don't want to push this guy away either. Or have him be my rebound. It seams that I've done this before. I went from a 5 yr relationship to a 10 yr relationship within 4months. I have had athlete's foot for almost a year now and hate it. It all started with a blood blister in my little toe. And I didn't know that it could go away, so I tried to get rid of it by cutting my toe nail super short (which was really painful) It was too high up to cut. We went to the water park and it went away. Later on, my toes started itching really bad and my skin started to peel. I would get little scabs from itching too hard. After 3 months I told my mom about it. (I didn't know I had athlete's foot yet, cause I didn't know it existed!) She just said it was dry skin. It continued for a few months and then I decided to do some research and found out I have athlete's foot. I was just wondering how old you have to be to purchase medicine to cure my athlete's foot. I'm 13. I would probably get it at Target at their pharmacy or just pay for it at the cashier. About how much does Lamisil cost? If I'm not old enough, what are some natural remedies to get rid of it? Thank you!

Sorry to re-post but I wasn't getting answers and I am really desperate. Please help me. I apologize for the length of this post but I really could use some opinions. Thanks in advance. So I met a girl named Leah about 7 months ago. I really liked her at first and wanted to become good friends. About 2 months after meeting her I gradually developed a crush on her. I am 24 and have never really dated or anything so I am not used to this. Anyways, we started becoming really good friends and talking a lot and hanging out a lot. A few months ago, she was asked out on a date by a guy we both know. She called me and asked me if she should go out with him or not because she didn't really like him. But I was the first and only one she called which I found a bit odd. Despite really liking her, I told her to give him a shot and enjoy herself (I assumed that is what any good friend would say). She went out with him once and had no interest in a 2nd date. A few weeks ago, there was another guy who we both mutually know, she had met him once through a friend, and he asked her out. This time she did not tell me about it or anything and decided to go and absolutely had no fun on the date. This one she kept from me just until yesterday. She told me and asked me several times if I was mad, and when I said no, she asked if I was sure, and it went on for a few minutes. I was secretly a little disappointed but I told her I wasn't mad which was technically true. Long story short, we talk every day regardless of whether its on the phone, texting, AIM chat, MSN chat, or whatever. We hang out probably 2-3 times a week usually. A lot of times we will be in groups and sometimes just me and her. A little more in depth information: She hates dating, she claims she doesn't want a relationship which no one believes, I make her laugh a lot, we enjoy talking to each other and spending time together. My questions are: 1. Does the fact that she asked if I was mad about the guy she dated mean she knows I like her? 2. Based on what you have read, do you think she is interested and is waiting for me to ask her out? 3. Why did she ask me what to do about the first guy she dated? 4. If you think I should ask her out, how would I do so? Keep in mind I have not dated before and my experience with girls is pretty minimal. Thank you sooooo much to those who answer. Okay so i've been doing conditioning all summer, but we went on vacation and i gained some weight back. i told my parents how bad i felt and blah blah, and they felt "bad" saying i'll lose it. i actually didnt work out so i dunno what happened, but i ended up losing 7 pounds in a little less than a week (during that week i was off from conditioning). i told my parents, hoping theyd be happy for me but they weren't.. they just asked how i did it.... i don't even know.. but that very same day my dad bought me mcdonalds for lunch, my mom took me to dinner at olive garden and then later that night they bought me a bag of candy ( 2 boxes of dots, a bag of reese minis, multiple packs of airheads and other things) i mean i didnt eat all that, i didnt eat all the mcdonalds, took home the olive garden, and its a few days later and i still have some of the candy... my parents have both been trying to lose weight, unsucessfully, and my whole plan of losing weight was to try to get fit before trying out for a sport (of which they don't want me to do).. soooooooooooooooooo call me crazy but...are they trying to sabotage me?!?! input please!

Okay so i found out about retro air jordans and i fell inlove with the turquoise and violet ones, the only problem is i cant find my shoe size anywere, all i find are kids sizes and small youth sizes!! yeah, this is one of those lame girly 'falling into love WAY to fast ' storys sorry :P but i fell deeply in love with this one boy a few yrs ago, and my dad died that year (that may or may not have any effect on the story?) i met this kid. lets call him 'pete' so pete and i started talking and i started crushing on this boy hard core, after i got to know him and every time i'd walk into class and look at him and think "i dont know how i would live with out him" he didnt know about my dad dieing or any of it. but not having a father figure i guess i got a little to attatched to pete.. well, i asked him to scating with me and things did NOT work out. at all. i went home crying and cried untill 8 am and slept the whole day, didnt eat much and fell into a deep depression. my grades fell drastically too. my parents were extreamly worried and my freinds were to but i refused to tell them what happend i just held it in...not healthy, i know. but i was like this untill school ended..witch was for7 mnths and to top it off, he started saying bad things about me behind my back- that hurt terribly im over it now, of course. but god, it was terrible! im afraid to date and or be in a relation ship! this was 3 years ago, not sure if that matters, but i'd like to date, and or be in a relation ship...im just to afraid

About three months ago, I was convinced by a kid that we will be fin if we sneak into hangover 2 movie. So, me, the kid, and a few other friends of mine bought tickets to pirates of the carribean and went to the hangover 2 movie instead. We were about 5 minutes in to the movie, when I realized this is going to end up bad. We all sat in the front row seats, the kid was texting, and laughing at the quiet moment (from the texts). Just as I was about to "go to the bathroom", this male worker walked down to us and asked for us to step outside. We all did so, and he asked to see our tickets. My stomach almost died as soon as he called another worker over. He said something like, "This is grand theft. I hope you know it's illegal. Im going to have to ask you to leave. Your lucky I didnt call your parents OR the cops." so we left. At that moment, I was crying a little. I cant belive how guilty I felt about letting my friend do this to me. Not until a month ago I finally got over the guilt. I was finally able to live life without buckets load of guilt. Until, it happened. I was invited for a get together for my other friends birthday. We're going to see Harry potter and the deathly hallows part 2 at the SAME theater. Oh my gosh, the guilt returned. My dad already RSVP'd and so I'm going. Thank you for reading that passage. But I was wondering, will it be safe for me to return back to theater. Will they recognize me? They didn't take any photos. Or am I over reacting?

I'm moving to my Mom's house in Texas and for my sophomore year I want to do online schooling, then if it doesn't work I'll go back to normal high school. My questions are: 1. How much contact do you have with a teacher? As in do you chat with them while doing your lessons online or do you call them when you need something explained? 2. Do you have midterms and finals? 3. Do you test for the honor courses or do you just ask to be placed in them? 4. How do you turn in assignments? Do you just type them up on the computer or what? 5. I know you do projects but how are they able to grade them? Do you get a set of questions you answer? Any additional details are appreciated and if you use k12 give me your opinion on it. After watching the last movie and trying to think everything through, I began to think why Harry may actually have glasses. I've only really followed the movies, so if there's actually a real explanation in the books then I guess that's my fault for not reading... To most readers/watchers I'm guessing they think (due to Rowling's large use of symbolism) that the glasses somehow symbolize how Harry eventually "sees" the truth through everything which eventually leads to the ultimate downfall of Voldemort. However, I have a small theory that when Voldemort gave Harry his scar, he somehow affected Harry's vision. Again, this is a theory of symbolism towards how Harry eventually "sees" how to defeat the Dark Lord. It is J.K. Rowling after all, so I don't think she'd give Harry glasses for nothing!
