One of the programs that was initiated with the 2008 Farm Bill was the Livestock Indemnity Program. This program covers eligible livestock deaths through September 30, 2011 as a result of an adverse weather event. Producers must file a notice of loss within 30 days of when an adverse weather loss is apparent. Call the local FSA office for more information.
