For English summer homework, I was required to read, answer short questions, and write an essay on One Day in the Life of Ivan Denisovich. I've already finished everything except the essay, and I'm having difficulty deciding how to organize it. The prompt: Transformations abound in this novel. What is the most important transformation that occurs? How does this transformation impact the total effect of the novel? Basically, I want to write about Shukhov's transformation from a largely uncaring, selfish person into a more generous and selfless person through Alyoshka's guidance. However, I have no idea how to organize this idea into an essay... What should I talk about in each of my individual paragraphs using this idea? I have no idea how I'm going to split this idea into the conventional five paragraph format our teacher wants us to follow.

I was told that I need a breeders license to breed my dogs and sell their puppies. They are Yorkshire Terriers so I was going to breed them once to see how it goes. Since they are small dogs I want it to go 100% perfect (yes I know that nothing is 100% perfect but you know what I mean) If not I wasn't going to breed them again and get them fix. Do I still need the license to do this? Also I was going to get a siberian husky, but the city only lets us to have ONLY 2 PETS AT A TIME, and my sister is living with me and her dog. (which is also a small dog and very old) So when I do get the husky that will make 4 dogs and my parents' cat. (which is really really old, she is starting to lose her mind) Is there a license that I can get to keep all of them??? I really take good care of all of them, a lot of people say that they will never treat their dog like that, and they are really good trained. Always does what I tell them to.

I am adding a system to my 04 F150 and I was hoping to find a setup that is out of sight and out of the way but I don't want to sacrifice sound quality. I only want a single sub. I was wanting to get either a 10" or 12" (if I can get a 12" to fit, great! If not I would settle for a 10"). I think I would go with the Kenwood performance series through www.bestbuy.com for either sized sub. I would probably get a Kenwood 1000W amp to go with it. I currently have a JVC head unit with four Pioneer 6x8's and that's just not doing it for me. I want good sound but I don't need the neighbors to hear me coming form a block away. So, I want it to thump but not bang. And I'd like the custom look or something that would tuck away nicely. I was seriously considering a down firing box. But I can't seem to locate one that would A-fit nicely or B-produce decent sound. The one I was really hoping would be the one was an Atrend down firing 10" box made for select ford F150's but it has some terrible reviews online. I would consider and up firing box if I needed to, but I'd rather go with down firing. I need help, is there an expert out there that can point me in the right direction?

Like hahaha this sounds weird but I want my hair to be able to move like thru the wind. Idk what it looks like wet or whatever but dry will it look ugly like when most black girls relax their hair? Like their hair looks like they took a HUGE straightener and straightened all their hair at once it looks all stuck together and the wind doesn't move it. Almost like it's just been mattered down. And on most ppl there's never any shine. I'm light skinned with brown loose curly hair. I have a 98 Ranger GT I purchased recently, speedometer is 15-20mph off and is messing with acceleration. I have come to find out that the stock wheels and tires on there were 14x6 P225/70's. What is on there now is 17x8 Front-205/55R16 Rear-245/60R16 and 245/50R16. Aka...its seriously jacked up. My question is what is the max size wheel and tire allowed on this vehicle?? Again its a 1998 Ranger 2.5L GT. VIN-1FTYR14C6WTA60178. Lug pattern is 5x4.5. Can I get away with 16x6 or 16x7? I intend on keeping the 225/70's as long as they are low profile enough. There is like a 2 or 3 inch lower on here, not sure which. The lower does not effect the speed btw cause my druggie friend I bought this from said it was fine till his worse druggie friend did the wheels and tires. I also upgraded to the Sport Trac gauge cluster cause I like the way it looks better. But again, neither of these two things effect this speed change, its all in the tires and wheels. Help?

I'm not going to go into a rant, although I could. I'll try to make it as short as possible. Basically, there's a few people in my life who are annoying as hell and very difficult to deal with. I'm definetly at the point in my life where if I dont want to be friends with you, I wont waste my time. But these few people, I'm almost obligated to be friends with for one reason or another. I mean, all the issues within the friendships are quite petty. Like, there's one girl who is overly sensitive and seems to try make drama with people. Were not close at all, but she's friends with all my friends, and I have to see her every week at church events and stuff. I'm close to her brother, as well, but he tends to be JUST as bad with the drama crap. He was good for a while, but seems to be extra touchy as of late. This other kid I don't really need to be friends with either, but again, he's friends with a ton of my friends. He does stuff like this: I texted information for an event, he texted thank you, and because I didnt reply to that he sent me TWENTY texts saying "hahahahahahaha" until I finally texted him back. And he said it's because I didnt respond to him. Crap like that I cannot stand... He's almost eighteen and still acts like this. How can I deal with this? I really, really dont want to be friends with them, but because they seem to be engrained in my life do to mutual friends, or seeing each other a lot, Its like I'm obligated to be friends with these difficult people. my ex she is 25 and I we've been broken up for a year now we talk to each other and text. the one day she had her girl who is a friend over and they watched a movie after the movie she text me. Then one night she went to the bar with her girl friends from work and she text me when she was at the bar and if i didn't answer she would text again saying hello. She tells me everything like that her mom and real dad are getting back together and that she hates her mom. well 8months ago her step dad tryed to rape her she got out of there i was the first one she called i picked her up and i was rubbing her back and i was there for her.The day after that her and her real dad went to report the step dad to the police. Then the next day she went out west for a couple weeks and came back on march break to spend with her son. well 2 weeks after we got in a fight and i said mean stuff like she is just like her mom and that her son is going to hate her how she hates her mom and that she is a s lut. i didn't mean any of it. so its been about 7 months since we talked. the last text she send me was saying i want to be left alone by everyone.I text her alot of times saying sorry i left flowers and cholate at her place with letters telling her how much she means to me and how sorry i really am.I seen on her facebook all her closes friends from work she delete them all off her facebook. 2months she been staying at her grandma and grandpa's she told me that she is on drugs from the dr so im guessing she is depress or stressed. i send her a text a while ago and she hasn't said anything. Her aunt and my dad are really good friends well she told my dad that she quit her job and moved out west 5months ago to be with her ex and they are going back out and is going to stay out west for a year. I know last year in july she went down to see him for 2 weeks then in dec he came down for 3 weeks. She has a son who is 10 years old and her mom and dad have custody of her son so she can't take him out west with her. so why would she move there for a year without her son for an ex. here aunt also said she said she doesn't want to have anything to do with me p.s when me and her were dating she told me about her ex the one who she is going out with now that they went out for 5 years. He's 10 years old then her and the reason they broke up the first time was because he wanted to get married and have kids with her and she didn't want that and that he was on drugs. So he moved out west to get clean i guess i don't know if he is clean or what. He isn't the father of the child. so I havn't emailed her or anything for a couple months so july11 I emailed her on facebook saying I know you hate me and I don't blame you. I just want you to know that I really do care about you and that I'm here for you and after she got them she blocked me on facebook 1. Okay so right now i'm 15, p.s i'm a boy and im gay and I think I was raped when i was 11..... I use to go on chatrooms and talk to older guys and i met this one guy at the time that was beautiful we talked for 2-3 months and than he talked me into having sex. I didn't really like it, but it sorta felt good. and after that he stopped talking to me and even changed his number. Im scared this might effect me? I was molested by my step dad when i was younger, and i was physically and emotionally abused by my mom last year. cps took me away and now i'm with my grandma. my dad is always working and he barely eats because he has no money. my best friend, sam, died by getting hit by a car while walking to my house. Far too often I have read similar problems on this website. Until now, I never quite understood why somebody would come to the internet and expect to receive actual help. Then I read a bit more, and I realized that a select few of the individuals whom frequent this site actually give great advice. It now makes sense to me why people come to Yahoo! Answers for help… With that said, I need help myself. Yes, with a relationship. Silly me, I'm in High School and I should be worrying more about my studies and less about the testosterone-filled jerks around me. Yet, that's virtually impossible when you are bound to take a class with at least one at a public high school. That said, you are bound to find at least one of those "testosterone-filled jerks" attractive – even if they aren't really a "testosterone-filled jerk" – and try to attract his attention. For me, that "testosterone-filled jerk" is an intelligent, quiet kid that sits in front of me in one my classes. Often, I will try and get his attention by kicking the back of his desk. I usually do this when he is reading so it is more likely to be distracting. Unfortunately, he never turns around. He never talks either, unless he needs to talk to the teacher. This "air of mystery" really makes him different. He's highly motivated, too. He's a volunteer at one of the best hospitals in the country, and he volunteers under one of the hospital's best doctors (the doctor is world renown, according to him and he also claims that he's the only one to ever do such a thing. I believe him.). He likes to give people the cold shoulder and treat others with contempt. He is also extremely arrogant, I think. I've spoken to one of my friends (she, admittedly, does not know the boy) and she seems to think that he chooses to read during class and remain silent because he thinks he is better than everybody else. For example, he asked the teacher if it was possible for him to do a 'group' assignment entirely by himself because he didn't feel like working with anybody else. She allowed him to do so. Another example: while the entire class was waiting for the teacher, somebody he 'knew' from last year approached him and said hey and attempted to have a conversation with him. Before the girl could even ask him how he was, he immediately cut her off and rudely said, "I don't know even know who you are, so please, leave me alone." For what it is worth, the girl was/is ugly. She went on to explain, "Well, you probably don't recognize me because I lost thirty pounds" and he retorted with a shrug of his shoulder and said, "No, I don't think that's it. Knowing me, I took one look at you, if I did truly have a class with you, and decided that you were a stupid, hormonal teenage girl that was desperately trying to get the attention of every guy – short or tall, ugly or beautiful, skinny or fat – just to feed your ego. In a nutshell, I decided that your name and face weren't worth the space in memory when I could devote the aforementioned space to something worth knowing." The girl walked away with her head down. She had tears in her eyes. When a guy friend of mine questioned him about the incident, he just nodded his head and smiled. He didn't look proud of himself but he did not look like he cared about destroying this girl either. That brings me to my question: am I crazy for liking him? He seems like a jerk, but I only have one class with him a day and I've never (successfully) interacted with him. Was his treatment of that girl predictive of his behavior in a potential relationship?
