I'm a sophomore in high school right now and the two subjects that I enjoy most and I'm best at are science and math. I'm taking AP Calculus right now and i'm going to be taking some AP science courses next year and in my senior year. I'm considering studying science when I go to a university. Astronomy or cosmology sound appealing to me. One question that I have though is if I do decide to pursue a career in science, what kind of job can I expect to have? Will I likely work at a university? Will the pay be decent enough for me to live comfortably? One of the places I'd like to live is in the San Francisco bay area but I doubt there are many job opportunities for someone majoring in astronomy or cosmology there. Thanks for any answers :)

My parents are getting divorced. At the moment we have two cats. I am going to live with my dad and we are keeping the cats. My mom doesn't like cats and I had to jump through hoops to let my mom keep the cats, who were originally strays that came here. so i have 2 red eared slider turtles and ive been having them for more than 4 years now and ive had them since they were babies. one is a male and the older one is a female. Today, as i was in my room, i sat down next to my turtles tank and i notice something that i have never seen my male turtle do before. he was vibrating his claws at my female turtles face. and they were just kinda going around each other. they have been doing this all day today... but my female turtle didn't seem to be interested. Im worried that she may have babies soon, and im not sure how to take care of them. any advice? or really helpful info if she may have babies and mating?! plz i need help! :/

I'm a 17 year old female and just randomly the other day when I was going to fall asleep my right hip, knee, and able felt very uncomfortable. They didn't hurt out anything but each part felt like it needed to be cracked. This has been going on for a few days now but it only bothers me when I am going to sleep. Now its my right hip only and it feels like it needs to crack but I can't make it... I have tried several different stretches and techniques but nothing is cracking where it needs to be. It feels like it needs to pop or somethingon the outside of the hip. Please help! This is giving me insomnia, I actually cannot fall asleep because I am uncomfortable!:(

I took Algebra 1 last year and now this year, I am retaking Algebra 1 (They are both honors). I think they made a mistake so I want to tell my teacher I want to go up a level to geometry but the only problem I have is I am scared my schedule will be switched. I want to keep some of my classes because of the students in there and my favorite electives like Orchestra. Some of my classes only occur only once in the whole school so I am scared I will be kicked from the class. I also know people in there quite well and I don't want to switch out. There is also that law saying that each class can only have 26 students or something (I live in Florida) So my question is: Will my schedule be switched a lot or will that same class period will just be replaced with the higher level class.

I want something new with my hair. I used to have really short hair/pixie cut but I recently grew it out. It is not the legth where it is just below shoulder level in the front, and a bit longer in the back. I have a stubborn side bang and my hair is a medium brown colour. My face is round so I prefer a bang. My hair is wavy usually but I straighten it offten. Ideas please ? Thanks.

I just went to turn in my application and was interviewed right after! completely caught off-guard. I was very nervous during the interview, especially since I am a 17 year old college freshman, who was in a room of experienced students of higher status. I was the last to introduce myself as the interviewer started from the side opposite of me. Right after introducing myself, I was asked the first question, "Who is the pink girl to you?" I talked about how I'd help customers to feel comfortable with the products as there is something for all body types. I honestly didn't know how to reply because I wasn't familiar with PINK. Other Q's & A's: What is your favorite store to shop in? - I don't necessarily have a favorite store per se, I just really enjoy the mall in general. There are so many shops to see walking around, and I love how there could be a high-end store on one side, and a store I could actually shop in because I'm poor. I'm looking for a job for christ's sake. There was a question about preference of location. There are two stores in my state. I said I'd prefer to work in the one in town, as it's more diverse and I enjoy working with people from all over the world. Customer service -- I talked about how I loved the service I received at a local drugstore. The employees knew exactly where everything was and they were open to my questions, allowing me to come to them and not forcing themselves upon me for assistance. I also described rude behavior I've received in the past, where employees would stalk me around the store. If a customer came up to you for a product you weren't sure of where to find, how would you handle the situation? Okay, I choked on this one and gave a sloppy answer. "I would ask the customer to hold on for a few seconds, and then find that item and get them to it." I felt really dumb afterwards because the interviewer was like, yeah, or you could ask for assistance using the headset and maybe apologize for the wait to the customer. I still cringe thinking about it. My voice was loud enough to hear and I'm usually very cool presenting myself, but my nerves just ate me up and I think I could have done a lot better with preparation. I was in jeans and slippers coming from school! oh gosh! As for references, what do they typically ask during those calls?

I have a baby rat who is five weeks old. I got him and his brother when they were three weeks old. I had never had rats before, and I unintentionally got them from a non certified breeder, so first off, 3 weeks was too young, and secondly, one of them ended up having megacolon. He died a week after I got the two. After I got over the shock, I went searching for someone selling baby rats two days after little Milo died. I found someone who can get me a buddy for Lewis two weeks after Milo died. So in a week, it's been a week. At first Lewis was sad, but then he was ok, but now he's been really down today. I'm scared he could develop some serious emotional or behavioral problems. I've heard that rats can even die from depression! Is he going to be ok until Friday?? BTW I'm getting him from a certified rat rescue and breeder, I even had to fill out a page and a half application form.

So about 3 months ago a guy who I had no plans of going out with pretended to be my boyfriend to keep a creeper away from me. I had a little crush on him because of his strong personality and thought he was cute. We talked more, and he wanted to be my boyfriend. I wanted to wait longer and get to know each other better so we texted a lot. We would hold hands by the creeper to signal him to back off. So we kept talking for a while and things seemed to get a little more serious between us but my best friend didn't like the guy so I was cautious about it (but then im starting to really like the guy) I liked his attention, his humor, spending time with him, and I could easily talk to him and felt safe and comfortable around him. He was going to come hang out at my house but the day before he ignored all my texts. I felt something fishy going on...turns out, via my best friend, he got a girlfriend that day. She's known as a "sl^t" who flirts with all the guys. I was mad, and I stopped texting him and he never texted me. We didn't say hi to each other and communication just stopped. I don't think their relationship lasted very long before he was on to another girl. But I MISSED HIM LIKE CRAZY. I thought about him a LOT and wondered if he ever thought about me... I put what he did behind me even though I still think about it and it makes me mad. We haven't spoken about it since but yesterday at a football game we chatted some and all of these feelings came flooding back. I wanted to tell him I'd missed him but didn't want to make a fool out of myself if he hadn't...I'm so curious to see if he has the same feelings for me, or if I was just another girl....I'm starting to think about him again a lot! i just don't know what it is about him...grr what should i do? xo
