ELECTRIC POWER MONTHLY RELEASE – June 2011
The Electric Power Monthly, June 2011 edition presenting March 2011 data, has been released. Highlights include:
- In March 2011, net generation in the United States was up 2.0 percent from March 2010.
- Retail sales of electricity fell 0.4 percent compared to March 2010.
- The average U.S. retail price of electricity increased 0.9 percent from March 2010.

Effective June 6, EIA discontinued its live telephone service to customers as a result of the FY 2011 funding level provided to EIA.
