my friend is 17 years old. I have a friend that talks all the time about the only thing he should get out of life is death. He is always down and never thinks about the good things in life. He does smoke weed and drinks to make his self feel better. He tells me that he has told his parents but they have no health insecure. I have tried to talk to him to make him feel better but nothing helps him. I know he needs to talk to someone that can give him some pills. What can I do to help or what can he do? I'm very scared for him.

I'm supposed to wear my contacts for two weeks then get a new pair. However, I'm kind of lazy so I just where them until they bother me. Sometime up to 2 times longer than I'm supposed to where them. Can this be bad for my eyes, or is it ok just not cleanly.

I am 18 years old, 5 foot flat and about 130 pounds right now. I have been on a minor diet (aiming ~5-10 pounds) for 7 weeks. I am eating 1250 calories a day, 50 grams of fat. I run two or three miles 2-3 times a week and go to zumba or cycling classes 1-2 times a week. (side note: I make sure that my calorie count never goes under 1200 including calories burned from exercise as per doctors orders). I don't drink 8 glasses of water but I drink water with every meal and carry a water bottle. I don't drink alcohol or smoke or anything like that. But I have only lost 2 pounds. So am I missing something obvious or what am I doing wrong? Thanks!

MY BFF (let's call her Ida) has been crushing on this guy alllllllllll fucking year, and now he's started crushing on her back and liking her and its really cute!! I have a problem right now with one of my classes. I am taking gIobal history and geography this year with 4 averages (96,96,98, and an 87) But I have my regents (New York State Test), but I do not know anything!! I do not know how I got a 98 average, if I don't know anything in the class, so my teacher and my guidance counselor signed me up for AP us history, and I believe it will be very difficult for me, since I am in a regular class, but I still do not remember anything. I want to take AP us history next year, but I really don't know if it will be difficult. I am a 90-92 average student, with 2 honors classes, and I am taking 3 AP classes next year, but I am thinking about dropping AP us History. I'd rather get 95 on regular us history, then fail the AP, but I know that if I try hard, then I will succeed, but if I get an 85 AT LEAST, in this class, It is going to hurt my GPA. I already dropped out of AP Language and composition, and I am afraid of this class. I am taking AP spanish (I am fluent in spanish), AP psychology, and AP us history. I don't know what to do!

I suck at drums even though I've been playing 10 years. I can NOT get rolls that most people have no trouble with, I can NOT set the up so their not positioned awkwardly, I can't even tune them to make the sound good. I suck at writing even though I'm trying to write a book. I suck at talking to girls and they always end up ignoring me even though I treat them like queens. I suck at video games even though I've spent way too much time playing them. I suck at fighting even though I've trained a lot on a punching bag. I suck at pretty much everything new I try. I suck at being myself. Even though I've never tried to, I'd always rather be someone else. I suck at everything your average 6th grader should know. I'm an IDIOT. I can't do math, I don't know any geography, I stutter when I try to read out loud. I'm a horrible marksman even though I love shooting. I'm a crappy artist even though I used to do nothing but draw. I can't sing. I can't run long. I can't do many pushups. I can't even get a job no matter how hard I try. The only thing I'm good at is letting people cry on my shoulder (especially girls) and listening to all their damn problems. Then guess what? They just treat me like shit afterward. Apparently I suck at people too since I've asked questions here before and no one answers. Why would God put such a worthless human on the planet? What purpose does a loser like me serve? I shouldn't be fed or sheltered.. I'm not even worth it.

I know being a gay man means you're attracted to other men. But you know how if you have a straight man/woman, they wouldn't feel comfortable in a relationship with the same gender partner? Does the same go for gay people, but the other way around? A gay man in a relationship with a straight woman would never work or feel fulfilling for the man? The problem in my book asks for the limit of sqrt(x^2+1)/(x+1) as a.) x -->+∞ b.)x-->-∞ the answers in my book are a.)1 and b.)-1. I got the answer for a.) but i am not sure with my solution for b.). I know that the limit of b.) if it exists, must be negative since the denominator increases through negative values as x-->-∞.while the numerator remains positive. I have bought Miracle Gro potting mix three times and every time I have had white aphids in it or shortly after. First of all, I thought they fed on sap on plants, so why are they in unused soil? Second, can I use "Eight" brand Insect Control to kill them then use the soil to pot a plant or am I just going to have to buy more soil? Is there a different brand you recommend since I keep having this problem with Miracle Gro? Ps. I have a white aphid and root gnat problem with my Basil, Blueberry, and Spearmint plants that I potted with the same soil a couple of weeks ago before they showed up and have been fighting them since. I had the same problem last year with some indoor herbs using the same brand of soil.

In my bedroom I have a small Sylvania T.V., and larger version in the living room. I've owned both T.V.'s since about the early 2000's and there has never been a single problem with either. Awhile ago the one in the bedroom started to act up, where the remote wouldn't work properly ( I couldn't change the channel, or turn the volume up without pressing the buttons a dozen times). Changing the batteries and trying both living room, and V.C.R. remote on my T.V.,as well as my own, didn't solve my problem. My T.V. is stuck on GAME mode, which only allows me to watch movies. I asked a question previously and someone had suggested several reasoning's for this. After going through and crossing the necessary ones out, it all comes down to the sensor on my T.V. being shot. Can I fix this myself, or do I have to take my T.V. in to get it fixed? Can it even be done, or would I just be wasting time and money, when it'd be better to just by a new T.V? Info would be much appreciated. Thanks!
