Do people out there drink a little before a big presentation or an interview in order to calm the nerves? Vodka is pretty much odorless and I have heard that it is actually healthy to take a few shots every once in a while, but what about taking a few shots and then going to class and giving a presentation? Is it risky? Wrong? Or perhaps good to calm the nerves in order to give a good presentation and get a good grade? I am a strong drinker so I would definitely not be disoriented ( I have tried vodka before)

Hi, I'm a newly turned fourteen year old girl and I'm................................... Even writing this down is difficult. I hate showing signs of weakness. I put on a act every day.Smile, act a tad goofy and stupid. I feel the walls are finally cracking. It's worse in the winter- but now it has climaxed to year-round. I hate myself. I feel like a worthless piece of shit.. and I don't want to anymore. I've done online self-evaluations on depression and all are positive over the last few months. All though I see no point in things like self harm (cutting, burning ect)... I just want it to end. I think things that I don't want to, that I can't believe are my thoughts. It's to the point I don't want to BE anymore. But am I just overreacting? There so many things going on that I cant tell certain people because of my psychotic family politics. Small example- I haven't spoken to my grandfather in 4 months although I see him twice a week because he was screaming at me that my other grandfather and my father were weak minded, low class simpletons that were brain washed by communism and if he had the chance he'd kill all of them. ( there's a lot more to that story and other things but it would take to long to write.. for the record my dad was apart of strikes and revolting). And no. That was hardly a drunken rant. He was bloody sober. I was laughing like mad when I left... but when I got out I started to cry my eyes out. ( my aunt was sitting on the couch laughing at us have a scream match during the time) Sorry about that last part.. I know it must make little sense. It was a rant of my own. Writing this down is hell. I can't show my emotions to people. It makes you vulnerable to pain. But I need to know. Is this just a passing teen ageist? Do you all think like this and I'm just being a whining infant? How do I strike up the courage to tell my parents? I know this sound horrible but I have a 90% bet my mom will hold it against me and tell everyone. Should I just keep pretending everything alright? who can I tell? I would rather not start with my mom. My sister will tell me to piss off. My aunt (the same one as before) had depression... but she would probably tell me to suck it up and I have no right to feel this way. My dad would listen.. but wouldn't do shit. My mom would hate me if I didn't tell her first and make the whole problem about how no one trust her or caring. My family is f**ked. I'm f**ked. Please? I need advise.

My friends have a hip hop performance this weekend. Yesterday, one of the guys asked if I was going and I said I wasn't sure. His response made it seemed like he wanted me to come. However, today I texted him saying 'guess what' and right away he texted back 'what' and i told him i was coming this weekend. It's been probably about 5 hours and he hasn't responded which is unusual. This performance is a THREE HOUR drive. I really want to be there for them...but I want to make sure they want me there so i want to send him another text saying something like 'is that ok?' Would this sound annoying? the most important this is i have VERY strong feelings for this guy and he knows. we have a history and at the moment things are up in the air...but i'm trying to get things back to how they use to be. I just don't want to push him away by bothering him. Any ideas? Should I just do it, leave it alone, or say something else?

I've been in love with my best friend since we were 13. We've known each other since we were 10, thats almost 15yrs Now and he's never returned my feelings although i think he does know how i feel. I've never told him but i could never really hide it very well. Having him around makes me happy. I've never needed any other man, i've never wanted another man. Only him. He's getting married in Aug and it hurts more than i can explain! I want to be happy for him, but how can i be happy with tears in my eyes and a broken heart? I feel like i NEED him. I know i should push him away and forget him but how can i? He's my life. He says he'll always be my BFF even after marriage. And i used to be ok with BFF, as long as he was there it didnt matter. But now it just hurts WAY too much to be around him. But when i'm not around him i feel like half a person. Hanging out with him is not even fun any more, its more like torture! But i cant lose him...After all he is my "BFF"...What am i gonna do? :(

I read this book a while ago and this is all I can remember of it, it's been driving me crazy forever. So this guy goes over to his friend's house and his friend is sitting there smoking pot, and he has never smoked it before, but does for some reason this time. He asks what his mom thinks about him smoking and his friend says that she doesn't know about it because something about the walls and it doesn't withhold the smell. So, he gets super high and freaks out. He goes to the bathroom and is panicking and he splashes water on his face and thinks he's dying, but it's really funny. Then he realized he has to go to dinner with his entire family and make a good impression on someone. He gets there and he's still high and freaking out and h is mom is like what is wrong with you? And he's like I'M HIGH!!! That's all I remember.

I think it's pretty clear to everyone following this story that Rep. Anthony Weiner of New York has partaken in the sharing of sexually explicit content on Twitter and should resign as did Chris Lee after his sex scandal. Weiner's denial and harsh outbursts make the situation worse and only make him look more suspicious. Now that Democrats have started turning against him, when will Weiner actually resign?

I brought home a 5 yr old TB mare about a month ago and the lady I purchased her from had about 80 horses - mares, geldings, stallions, colts, fillies, all ages. She mentioned her stable hand thought one of the mares was pregnant but didn't mention which. My mare supposedly has never been bred. When she arrived a few days later I noticed her ribs were starting to show but her lower belly still looked swollen or fat and she also had some white almost mold looking stuff around her nipples. They aren't swollen at all. I discovered shortly she had worms and she was de-wormed right away. She's been putting weight back on really well and her lower belly still seems a little wide but not so much that she looks completely pregnant. After washing though her nipples still have the white stuff around them. It almost looks like maybe she was lactating a little at one point and it dried up. Her nipples don't appear swollen or sensitive at all. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what this could be? As far as behavior, she has come a decent way since arriving. Although the lady said she had been started under saddle and handled since birth, she really doesn't seem like she's been handled much at all. At first she was very jumpy and especially didn't like her back end being messed with (picking up feet, brushed, etc.) She's gotten better and I've assumed it was just due to poor previous handling. She also has a habit of trying to back up anytime I pass her front legs to brush or something and she wants to keep me by her head. This I also assumed was just a habit she learned but I've also heard could be a sign of a mare with foal. This with handling and training she is also getting better about slowly. THanks.
