[ Add-ons ] Open Question : How to format write-protected usb drive?

My friend gave me a PNY company 4GB pen drive. He wanted to format it but he couldn't do it. I tried it and there came an error message saying that the drive is write-protected. Then I tried command prompt and tried format /x and all other combinations but it didn't work. Then I tried a registry hack which was there on the internet to change a key in the registry something like "storagedevicepolicies". But it didn't work. Then I tried USB Low Level Format Tool, USB Format Tool, HP USB Disk Format Tool, Apacer format tool, everything on "hiren's boot cd" and even tried creating new MBR. But none of this worked. When I tried to create partitions on this drive or writing new MBR, there was an I/O error. The drive is still readable and working. I also tried changing the drive letter but it also not worked. I am now stuck and dont know what to do now. Please help me to format this drive.

I have stopped using birth control for over a year and my husband and I did not use a condom twice in the last 2 days and I elevated my hips and let it sit for 15+ minutes. I have also been taking prenatal vitams for a few weeks to try to increase my chance of becoming pregnant. Is there any possible way I could be pregnant this time? Based on an online fertility calculator it was my fertility week during the 2 sexual encounters. Ovulation day would be tomorrow but we cannot have sex tomorrow. Could I still become pregnant? I know no one will know for sure but what are my chances on this one? 50/50 or better?

i see a lot of you raging on peoples questions saying we are stupid for not believing there is a God. can you tell me why i should believe there is a God? Like purely ONE God that created everything and has power over everything. dont go crazy on me & tell me to go on page 33 of the bible , because i dont got a bible, and dont tell me to go get a bible because im not going to. i just want to know your honest opinions, why should i believe there is a God? I was using CamStudio to record a tutorial video, the video came out to be 34 minutes long, says 4GB. It won't play on any video software I have nor upload it to any website says file format is invalid. I looked at the format I believe it said CRAM but don't remember I moved it to another computer just to see if it would work but didn't. Some forums I read said try changing the file format from whatever to .avi and that didn't work either. Some suggested splitting the video, so I tried that, and it only played the first 3 seconds of the video. I'm in dire need of getting this video posted on YouTube as soon as possible, so if anyone has any suggestions please help me.

My computer got a virus 2 months ago. One was security stuff that keeps on popping up EVERYWHERE, (that is fixed) and the other is the search engines, BOTH Mozilla Firefox and Internet Explorer are jacked up. When I type in something in a search engine and click on a website, it takes me into a completely different website. Mostly it ends up in "toolsearch.(COM)" This happens every time on Firefox, and frequently on Internet Explorer. I have downloaded and tried Malwarebytes and it didn't work! I have flushed my DNS cache, and it didn't work either. Basically I have tried everything I can and nothing helps. I don't know what to do now! Is there another way or is my computer broken for good?

This is such a long story @ a friend screwed me over so im going to keep it short. Almost 3 months ago I went to pay a friend for watching my dog while i was at the hospital for 4 days when my hubby got a hip replacement. My husband is fully disabled @ in a wheelchair @ needs both hips, shoulders @ possible knees replaced. hes 42 im 25yrs. so he just had his first hip surgery @ I had his percocet and zanax in my purse b/c i dropped him off at home @ went 10 miles down the road to pay a friend. His meds were in the correct botlle 2 we are legally married @ the state of maine pays me a little every month to take care of him.(im his legal caretaker) Neways I was leavin a cop said i looked suspicious b/c my tags wernt changed from FL yet @ searched me @ found my husbands scrips @ arrested me for a felony of possesing oxycodone or narcotics whatever its called. They releasded me on own reconiance @ i paid $60 @ went home. So i got 2 doctors notes saying that im his legal caretaker @ that it is not uncommen for me to have his medications on me at all times. I showed that to the arresting officer and he says if the da wants to drop it hell agree so i go thursday @ hopefully they drop it. I had a friend who works for the fire department @ emt driver @ she got mad b/c her puppy dog(a guy friend) who she used liked hanging with me @ my hubby so she got pisses @ threatened me @ troy @ gis parents we got over 285 txts abd 40 answering machinee threats @ 20 messages on Facebook, I had to change my email passwords phone numbers everything. The officer said hed talk to her when it happened it stopped for a few days then started again. Ive tried 4 times 2 put a restraining order along with my friend. So anyways i used to put up a ad on backpage for erotic dancing well she hacked into my facebook @ printed out a conversation i had with a guy a very long time ago, we never met but discussed a price but no act what so ever. They even brought him in @ gave him a ticket @ he says weve never met, so they asked him what he thought he might get he says i dunno @ then said if u had to guess what would it be the kid said i dunno sex. I never agreed to nething its all hear say so they got the convesation cause she hacked my account @ was reported 7 times from different people. So i go to jail on a engaging in prostituition charge and it violated my bail so now im facing to class e misdemeanors the lowest u can go! I got arrested in Florida in 2007 I was working for a escort service @ it was a setup theyarrested me all i did was collect money, @ didnt discuss nething @ i had 2 percocet and a valium in a aleve bottle! Well they dropped the prostituition charge b/c i dint agree to anything @ tried the pills but I had a legal scrip so they dropped the chargers. So my Question is I am 99% likely to have the pill case dropped out maybe %100 but on the other two I dunno what 2 expect ive never had a charge well a leaving the scene of a accident a year ago(stupid case). I take care of a disabled man i have constant seizures, im bipolar @ have atumor in my brain @ possible cervical @ colon cancer at 25, I was thinkin at most the would give me a fine or probation the da requesting jail the clerk of courts said but i belive they always start that way. So i requested a jury @ hopefully this lawyer contacts me before the 23rd. Does neone have ne idea what i might get. I mean even though it a lowest misdemeanor I dont thin they have many so called prostitutes in Maine @ try to hit me hard even though i hadnt since i moved her. Any advice would please help. Sorry for this being so LONG!

ok this what happened.. i have a Corolla 98.. i bought an HID xenon light with a ballast.. then i tried if its working.. it works but after like 5 seconds, light is blinking and then gone.. i thought its on the fuse but i check the fuse and i changed it but its still not working i tried putting some other regular bulbs but not working.. help please idk what to do now... :(

don't get me wrong i have nothing against homosexual people. but i have been wondering lately about why when people first meet me they think i'm gay, and i know they do because the first thing they ask is "are you gay?" and no i am not secretly in the closet or confused or anything like that. most of my best friends have told me that it is my openness to trust and talk to people, i'm a guy but i'm not rough or don't feel need to show off my man hood, i'm a really nice guy some even say i'm too nice and have talked to me about it, i get along with people well but am not afraid to stand my ground and get into a fight, and i can fight i am 3 belts away from my black belt. but i'm just concerned i don't like having a rumor going around that i'm gay it really bothers me... and if i knew who it was i would take care of it but different people come up to me so i can't narrow it down to one person. - i'm 15 and a freshmen in high school - i carry myself like any other person, back straight and walking tall, i dress like an average teenager, and i do have a good number of female friends but i still have more guy friends then female.

This guy I know at work came up to me while i was busy working and asked me if I could go get him water. I felt nice so I went and got it for him. He drank it and asked me if I could get him some more. I told him in a non serious way "geez i'm busy can you get it yourself?" and he looks down at the ground with disappointed kind of sad pout. I thought that was weird because he looked disappointed about it LOL... There's a guy who comes in where I work for the family business. BUT he just turned 29, and Im barely 20.Im finishing my undergrad, living with my parents and working two jobs. He's starting grad school (at my uni). He spent most of his 20s overseas in the military. When he comes in, we banter. A awhile ago, while talking, he made eye contact... longer than I've made with anyone, didnt look away, til I did. As he was leaving he's like, " Im gonna grab food. Need lunch?" I threatened I'd add him on facebook. I added a msg with the request, teasing him about his pic. He accepted and wrote me. And his profile pic, suddenly changed. Then, he came in, and he told me how his work made him sign a living will. He also told me he has LIFE INSURANCE? He said "You know, when you get old like I am." He said it a couple times. Was he trying to tell me he's not interested, the nicest way? We've been writing back and forth. Every time he writes me, its paragraphs. Which granted isn't a big deal..but most guys seem to be short on words if they don't care. You know what I mean? Last week, he was back…after paying, he stood there. I asked 3 questions, and he provided a lot of talking. Then I said, "And after you get your license, you're taking me flying, right?" Joking. He looked at me, "Well, sure. (He's getting this dangerous plane that he knows I don't approve of) I'm going to get this plane up here, and then we can go flying…" With this mischevious grin. I was like "NO!" Then later, he mentioned it again, "Well after I get it up here, you can come check it out, and then decide.." Then he said "I gotta run. I have a softball game I'm playing in." And then, he continued talking. He didn't invite me though. When I woke up Friday..He had written me. Apparently he got busy on the computer at midnight. He wrote me several paragraphs about what he's doing (marathon,etc etc), and asked what classes I have for fall. and then asked what I'm doing with the last couple weeks before classes start. This weekend, he came through to go on an overnight trip. He left without his bag. I noticed just in time and ran it out to him. So when I replied to him this time in a message, I said at the end "And I found your bag yesterday. You so owe me!" He wrote me back today, and at the end of a few paragraphs..Said, "Youre right. I do owe you. Name your price." Im sitting here a little..Off. Does he sound like he's interested at all? Or just a guy who's really nice? AND THE "NAME YOUR PRICE" THING..WAS HE BASICALLY ASKING ME OUT?

Does anyone know of some good horror books for teenagers? I'm just asking because I love horror, am an avid reader, and there are hardly any horror books at my school library or the public library. What I don't want: - No romance. I just really don't like romance, and I never have. Hell, my friends know better than to recommend a book with romance because they know I don't like it. - No sexual content. Please, don't give me books with any sexual situations in them. It's just too inappropriate and I don't want to read it. - Nothing highly supernatural. I like ghost stories, but I vampires and the like are not what I like to read about. - I'd also prefer if it WASN'T a Stephen King or R.L. Stine book. I read plenty of R.L. Stine books as a child, and I found none of them scary. Stephen King, on the other hand, bores me. His books are just too long and drawn out. - I'd prefer for there to be vivid imagery, which is a thing most books I've read recently highly lack. It seems as if those authors have never heard of the "show, don't tell" concept. - Nothing too gory, either. Over-the-top gore really isn't scary and it just brings down the horror in a horror series. I've watched Elfen Lied, but it really wasn't scary at all. Well, sorry for all of the restrictions, but I know what I don't like and I'd prefer not to read things I'm not interested in.

I baby sit for my uncle and Ive been helping my grandma remodel a house she bought to rent out. I'm only 15, so I don't have an impressive resume. It's for a sept/oct job at a corn maze. Would it be a bad idea? They both have different last names than me. I could also use the renter of the house because she is a good friend of my grandma and was there sometimes when I was working.
