Montana FSA Reminds Agriculture Producers of Disaster Assistance Deadlines

Bozeman, Sept. 9, 2011- The U.S. Department of Agriculture's (USDA) Farm Service Agency (FSA) Acting Montana Executive Director Dick Deschamps reminds producers about upcoming deadlines for disaster assistance. Under the 2008 Farm Bill, legislative authority for the disaster programs end on Sept. 30, 2011 which means that eligible crop and livestock losses must be the result of a weather event occurring on or before Sept. 30, 2011.
