people regard as intelligence that often times gets hidden underneath
the usual fodder and that is: Subconscious (or what some people call
Intuitive) Processing. It's what happens when you think of something
for a while and out of nowhere: Bam! A solution or new idea, seemingly
materialized out of nowhere.
It occurred to me today as I was thinking over the solution to
something that I intuitively felt should've been obvious from the
beginning. I brooded the solution for some time and as I did, the
clues started popping up out of nowhere, a hint here and another clue
there and another fleeting glimpse there. Now, while this happens all
the time, we often forget a key characteristic of this type of
phenomenon and that is: THAT IT IS ALL SUBCONSCIOUS.
Not once did I attempt to really look for a clue or a hint as to why
the solution was what it was, it was simply brought to the forefront
of my consciousness by some hidden mechanism in my psyche. The reason
why this underlying mechanism is so important is self-evident, it's
nearly the back-bone of every conscious logical processing, so the
reason why its enhancement or betterment is so crucial to the overall
improvement of cognition is entirely understandable.
Now, and perhaps even more interesting: We have an understanding of
the eureka moments, and why they're important. I believe, with some
soundness, that DNB improves this portion of intelligence along with
other conscious processes. Day after day, i've begun to notice a
little more that a lot of what people call intelligence is really
automated, most of the time answers arise when we don't look for them
and day after day, the answers to many of the problems I encounter
simply present themselves.
I suppose I just wanted to incite a little bit of feedback from you
guys. What do you think; Might DNB enhance intuition?
