[ Security ] Open Question : How do I fix my laptop computer?

My moms laptop isn`t functioning right again. It`s because I downloaded Open Office because we don`t have power point and I needed to work on it for school. When I downloaded it I got more things I didn`t want. Like alot toolbar. Then the windows vista security system (we have Windows XP) started popping up every time we tried to use any internet browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Google Crome). The offline stuff works and and the internet isn`t down, so why can`t we surf the web?. The vista security thing kept telling me that many of the programs were infected. I`m sort of freaking out so please help!

Okay so a while back I told this girl I've been friends with for a little over a year that I liked her. Luckily for me she said she liked me too. Well we went on a date a few days ago and a couple of days later I texted her saying that I had a lot of fun. She said she had a lot of fun too but when I asked her if she would like to go out again she said, "I'm gonna have to pass". Why would she not want to go on a second date? She said she liked me before and she seemed to have fun on the date, and she said that she did indeed have fun. She is the one who suggested we go on a date in the first place... I dunno could anybody help me understand any of this, thankyou.

Okay, so I have a sidekick LX 2008, I want to put videos from my computer on there, such as southpark episodes or family guy. (Im going out of town, and I don't want to be bored lol) I have a SD chip for the sidekick too its about 16GB. So how do I put the videos on the sidekick? I can download the episodes from Frostwire. I tried doing it once, but they said that the file on the sidekick doesnt fit to watch the video. So can anyone give a good explanation on how to convert it into the sidekick size? there's this guy friend that i have liked for almost a year. we are really close and i dont usually have strong feelings for guys but i really fell for this one, to the point where i think i might have even loved him. he liked me too at one point, but we talked it out recently and hes not ready for a relationship. it hurt so much but i said it was fine and we continued to be close friends. its been over a month since we talked and my heart is still broken. im not sure if i actually still like him now, or if im just holding onto him because ive liked him for so long that i dont remember what it feels like not to like him. i am beginning to feel kinda of depressed and its affecting my life. its summer and we are home from college so i dont see him as much as i used to, which is good (i can try to forget him) and bad (hes still one of my best friends and i miss him). how can i get over this bump and get over him?

I have a chapter 7 bankruptcy that was discharged in 2009 april....i have a company who is now trying to collect their debt that was discharged....they have even put it on my credit and I was actually denied a car loan due to this debt.....can I do anything to them legaly...ie...sue them or somthing and it should be their resposability to fix this on my credit right.

I just recently got a "Ball O' Hurt" in terraria, the terraria wiki says that it has a use time of 30, and I have noticed that most weapons have a use time of 100. I am kind of wondering what it means. I'm seriously hoping that it doesn't mean how long it lasts, because that would be a major piss off. If you know anything about "use time", please tell me.

i've seen quite a few Christians who claim that those who believe in evolution (i.e. theistic evolution) is not a Christian. But Jesus said "whoever is not against us is for us". The passage refers to how anybody who does marvelous deeds in Christ's name is loved by Jesus. So this makes me think of Francis Collins. For those who don't know, Francis Collins is a Christian scientist who believes in evolution. He has done many great deeds, including discovery of gene responsible for cystic fibrosis, and is now currently the head of NIH that funds thousands of US medical researches, and he publicly stated that he drew inspiration from Christ. I think even for those who don't believe in evolution, we should all remember Jesus's speech, which is that sure we may differ by a few opinion here and there, but as long as we are inspired by Jesus to do great things that bring benefits to human society, we are all loved by Jesus and hence all consider Christians. Agree?

Personally, I like used. I like my books well-worn because it shows that the book was enjoyed by others. I like creased spines and yellowed pages; it makes the book look loved. I love new books, of course, but they seem kind of unfriendly to me. I don't really like having to break in a book myself. I almost try to make it look less new, because there's nothing like an old book. :) What about you?

This question has two parts. First, I forget the name, but what is it called when a game has "Progression?" Like customizing characters or classes, such as World of Warcraft, Starcraft, Assassins Creed, Borderlands, Bioshock, Oblivion, Fallout, and Resident Evil. I am not talking about online, mainly single-player/co-op. (No Cod, that is online only.) And second, could anyone suggest some good games that fall into this category? Thanks!
