My brother was Catholic for most of his life. He made communion at an early age and later made his confirmation. He attended Sunday school and mass, confession on a fairly regular basis up until a couple of years ago when he went away to college. Four years later he graduated and returned from college as a complete atheist who no longer even believes in the possibility of there being a god and/or afterlife. So what do you suppose happen to cause him to completely change his beliefs?

It is inconceivable to me that people would believe the entire universe came from nothing. That there was nothing than this tremendous amount of energy just "appeared". That's impossible. Even tho quantum physics states that something can come from nothing it only applies to our physical universe with space and time, and what appears does not stay for very long. if the Big Bang theory is correct the universe must still have always existed in a singularity form. Because it would be surrounded by nothing, and for this nothing to exist than it must have always existed. What evidence is there to support the entire universe with all its matter and energy suddenly poped out of nowear? its more logical to think it has always existed.

state assisting home owners keep their homes but not assisting renter (i.e. poor people)....would this be a good constitutional question under the 14th to put forth before a court? If not, why???

I expect he will revert to hitting .260...15 HR's...55 RBI's...let me pinpoint that at the 100 game mark next year. BQ..although he has a league leading 32 HR's, he will hit 40 or less this year..agree? That's 8 HR's or less on about 50 remaining games.

hi there i am 39 weeks pregnant and am showing some signs of labor and i just wanted to know what women did the hours leading up to labor, im feeling the burst of energy, a lot of pain in my back, and a bit of pressure near pelvic area i haven't lost my (plug) but am getting a lot of discharge i just want to know what can speed things up also am not looking to drink caster oil LOL !!!!

I think I have a stalker. I think my ex husband's supervisor at work is stalking me. He is everywhere I go. I went to dinner one night, and the waitress came over and said he took care of the bill. Then he was at another restaurant where I was with a date. And than my ex told me this guy asked him if I go to the gym alone, and asked him if I live alone. And than he came up to me in the grocery store and asked me out in a crude kinda way- not a turn on at all. I have a lawyer friend, and she said there's nothing I can do unless he escalates. I've had security walk me to my car at work, and my ex told him I have room mates- but I actually live alone, and it's scary. My ex told him to knock it off, but it seems like he's everywhere I go. Does it sound like stalking, or is this just his warped way of trying to court me?

Both my parents are really hard workers, but lately, it almost feels like my dad isn't doing his share of supporting the family. I know that they are getting old and it can strain them, but it seems unfair to my mom that my dad is starting to just cut off his time at work, especially when our family needs it the most. Whenever he has time off, he just sits in front of the computer all day long. He doesn't do anything with the family. Now that I think about it, even when we(the kids) were younger, he never really initiated any family activities. He barely ever talks with my brother, he doesn't really talk with me either. He doesn't initiate anything, even though he's suppose to be the dad and the adult. My question is why? I think he relies on my mom too much to do everything, whereas he always seems to be off in his own world. I'm thankful for what he does, but the lack of connection bothers me. Any advice? I'm not asking for criticism, so if you have any, save it. I'll just delete your answer.

So I have this friend (he is a guy) and I happen to have a major crush on him (put that aside though). Lately we have been getting on really well. Like soooo well but the other day his girlfriend dumped him and it got me thinking. I thought it was my fault for being really friendly towards my crush/friend and I thought she might have seen it as flirting. Turns out it wasnt but I still think that our friendship is preventing him from doing other things like going out with other girls etc. I just feel really bad as I don't think he likes me cos I'm not pretty or super skinny. My ex boyfriend broke up with me cos he said he didn't want a relationship. He told me he loved me everyday & I loved him so much. I was devastated when we split:( We got back into contact after a couple of months later. He says he misses so much to the point where he's thinking about me when he's with other girls. He rings me everyday now. He comes to see my at work, takes me to lunch & we go shopping. He puts his arm around me & holds me hand. & always talk about our past. He says he doesn't have a girlfriend. But when his phone rings or he receives a text, he says is his mum. But I know is not. The thought of him & someone else hurts me so much. What is upto? He knows him & I won't have sex cos am not that kinda girl. Should I say anything to him? Why does he lie about who he's seeing? Thanks..x

I'm fairly sure I have HPPD even though it has never been diagnosed before because I always see rainbows/snow/tracers/auras/etc on everything I look at and it has been this way for the past four years since I did a little too much LSD during my more 'experimental' days in high school. What I'm wondering is, I'm not sure if it's been as long but for almost the same amount of time I've felt this really weird sensation kind of like a really nasty, cheap, pot high (no better way to describe it...) almost constantly and just wanted to know if it has anything to do with my HPPD or if it might be something else altogether?
